Teflon John (AKA Governor Lynch) is at it again. Once again when writing about Governor Lynch I have to ask, does this sound like leadership to you?
To deal with the state’s budget shortfall, the governor had proposed bonding $80 million of operating expenses. The House had quite sensibly rejected borrowing money to solve the budget mess. The governor, to whose popularity most of them [...]

Is this what John Lynch calls leadership? In a manner very reminiscent of Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick, John Lynch let a $940 million school funding bill slip into law without his signature. The senator's local supportersattribute his comeback to the endorsement here of independent Democratic Sen.Joseph Lieberman. Among the one in five voters who picked "has the right experience," Clinton trounced Obama 71 percent to 5 percent. John Ellis has written an amazing piece for Real Clear Politics in which he argues that Mike Huckabee was a huge winner tonight in New Hampshire:Iowa was grand for former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, but New Hampshire was a bonanza. He cast his bread upon the waters there and though he finished a distant third, it was returned manifold. The one thing that Huckabee cannot afford, at this stage of the race, is head-to-head defeat. He needs at least two "strong" candidates in the field while he puts together the pieces of his Republican proletariat coalition. What New Hampshire delivered last night was a revitalized Sen. John McCain, which makes Michigan a three-way race, which makes Gov. Huckabee's campaign there viable. If ever there was an electorate that is ripe for Gov. Huckabe

Mike Huckabee is going to finish a very respectable third in New Hampshire, it appears, ahead of Rudy Giuliani. Huckabee has 11% of the vote with 80% of the precincts reporting, which would give him at least one delegate. This is a strong performance for Mike, as he heads to Michigan and South Carolina.
And just as quickly as it started, Iowa is over and we're heading into New Hampshire in the second Primary.I think we'll see a dramatically different result coming out of Tuesdays vote, I don't believe Huckabee will have his Evangelical base the way he did in Iowa (Then again, I was off the mark big time yesterday). We'll talk more about polls and guesses later, but before we even hit the Primary, we have the debates.Of course, in true political season conflict, folks are already up in arms over the exclusion of certain candidates. Concord Monitor Gives Romney Anti-EndorsementIn a scathing anti-endorsement that called Romney a "disquieting figure," the New Hampshire newspaper's editorial board said he looks and acts like a presidential contender but "surely must be stopped" because he lacks the core philosophical beliefs to be a trustworthy president. In particular, the newspaper noted the former Massachusetts governor's change of heart on such issues as abortion rights, stem-cell research and access to emergency contraception, as well as on signing an anti-tax pledge. When New Hampshire partisans are asked to defend the state's first-in-the-nation primary, we talk about our ability to see the candidates up close, ask tough questions and see through the baloney. Well, I got back from New Hampshire last night in what seemed like a whirlwind of a trip. As much time as you think you have between flights, you really don’t have that much time to sit and relax at all. All of the shops were locally owned in old brick buildings so it made it feel welcoming. I stayed at a Bed & Breakfast and it was pretty neat. “Prison food has traditionally gotten a bad rap, but you won’t hear many complaints from vegetarians and vegans who are serving time in New Hampshire. The delicious vegetarian shepherd’s pie, pot pies, lentil ‘meatballs,’ and tofu sandwiches have inmates asking for seconds,” PETA said in an announcement of the rankings yesterday.
Now doesn’t that help you sleep at night? Just knowing that criminals are enjoying delicious tofu sandwiches on the taxpayer’s dime makes me feel as though my tax dollars

New Hampshire Democrats have been illegally buying and selling registered voters lists for a profit. Now comes word that my representitive, Carol Shea-Porter, used tax dollars to purchase the voters lists.
"This whole scheme continues to give off the whiff of corruption. While orchestrating legislation allowing them to purchase the voter file for $450, New Hampshire Democrats negotiated to sell the file to at least five presidential campaigns for $65,000 each. They also sold it to at least three commercial list brokers in what may be a violation of state law. Now we find out they sold the list to Rep. Shea-Porter, who used tax dollars to pay for it. This is outrageous and wrong," Cullen said.
Democrats were able to convince the voters that the Republicans were corrupt and needed to be voted out. We now see that the Democrats are corrupt and a change is needed. Carol Shea-Porter does not represent New Hampshire values, she has voted in lock
At flex camp (which was great) last Friday I ran into a few people who live in the Seacoast of New Hampshire (or on the border in Main and Massachusetts) and do ColdFusion development. It is always nice to meet new CF people and it surprised me that there were so many I hadn't known about right here in my back yard. If I had been thinking I would have gotten your business cards so we could continue to network later.
So this is a quick call to all you CF'ers. How many of you are out there and in the Seacoast area? Would it make sense to try to organize a CF meet 'n drink some night to all get together say hi and so forth? I am all about organizing stuff like that if enough people would be interested.

The only M.D. in the presidential race for 2008 will be running a new ad in Iowa and New Hampshire that will focus on health care. Dr. Ron Paul has been able to raise over $10.8 million dollars (as of December 10) online since the beginning of October and has the money to spend on TV ads along with the other "major" candidates. Many have not taken the congressman's campaign seriously but with the amount of money he has raised recently and the intense following he receives from his supporters he is starting to get more attention. With large campaign funds like this there will be more ad buys to come. The ad features an actor talking about the type of health care reform that Ron Paul would push for if he were president. The ad references the shameful treatment that our soldiers received at Walter Reed Medical Facility and that our government cannot be trusted to run our health care. This is obviously no deviation from where Paul stands on government involv
Barack Obama campaigning in New Hampshire. Obama has been narrowing the gap in the polls in New Hampshire over Clinton recently. Photo by Barack Obama Flickr Trouble continues to swell for Hillary Clinton (D-New York) who appears to be losing ground on her lead in New Hampshire. Barack Obama has been continuing to gain on Senator Clinton (D-New York) since October and the same continues to be true in New Hampshire. Obama has continued to hold onto his lead in the first caucus state of Iowa and has now made significant gains on Hillary Clinton in New Hampshire. Clinton once had double digit leads in New Hampshire and a new ABC/Washington Post poll finds that it is now only 6 points. According to the Washington Post, a CNN/WMUR poll from early autumn showed Hillary Clinton had a 20 point lead over her next closest competitor Barack Obama in New Hampshire. The recently released ABC/Washington Post poll showed Hillary Clinton had 35 percent support among like

Hillary’s campaign is suggesting that Barack Obama has tried to illegally buy votes from elected officials here in New Hampshire.
The question is: Did Obama, or his campaign, essentially try to buy support from local elected officials and political activists in New Hampshire and elsewhere by having Hopefund make contributions to these officials and local party committees in key early-voting states?
The Clinton campaign is raising that question after numerous reports that Hopefund — which is supposed to be separate from, and unaffiliated with, the Obama campaign — remained very active even after he announced his candidacy for president.
Here is where the problem lies for Obama, at least has far as Hillary is conserned:
It has given more than $180,000 to local Democratic groups and candidates in the early-primary and caucus states, and $73,000 of that went to New Hampshire officials and committees this year.

Today New Hampshire governor John Lynch’s wife endorsed Hillary Clinton for president.
“I do not give my endorsement lightly,” she told about 100 invited guests of the Clinton campaign. “I truly believe Hillary Clinton is the right person to lead our country.” She said Clinton has the right plan on expanding health insurance to all citizens, and the experience to get it through Congress.
She praised Clinton for her work on the S-Chip children’s health insurance program, improving Tri-Care medical benefits for those in the National Guard and Reserves, testing of children’s prescription drugs, and foster care and adoption programs.
Just look at all the socialist programs the governor’s wife is in favor of. We can only assume that Governor Lynch also endorses Hillary Clinton, but we will never know for certain. Governor Lynch has decided to stay neutral and not disclose who he is voting for. This sh
Mike Huckabee at a values voter summit in Washington, DC. (Photo by REUTERS). An ABC News/Washington Post poll shows Mike Huckabee is gaining significant ground in Iowa. Since the previous poll was conducted in July, Huckabee increased his support by 16 percent. Huckabee is currently polling at 24 percent, which, puts him in second place in Iowa behind Mitt Romney who is expected to get 28 percent of likely voters. Mitt Romney’s lead has shrunk significantly on average in Iowa do to Huckabee’s strong support among conservatives. Mike Huckabee has been consistently pro-life and is loved in the evangelical community in Iowa. Giuliani who was expected to be the front runner for Republicans is only polling at 13 percent in Iowa. Huckabee’s success is clearly coming at Giuliani’s expense and a poor showing in Iowa could be costly to Rudy. In New Hampshire, Democrats also saw significant changes. According to a new CNN/WMUR poll Clinton lost 7 perce
