I woke up this morning,
put my target on apathy,
and I’ve got balance
at the firing range.
No more wandering,
my boots are clicking to a march
because I found the destination.
The will to dictate
the rules of my house
and kick the worn out house guest

There was something in the wine
which made me remember

I'm getting started at a new job, so I don't have time for a long post today. As I've written in previous posts, there was stuff going on at my job that I didn't like and couldn't deal with. As I've also written before, you should try to leave on your own terms, whenever you need to resign from your position. So, unless you are in harms way (a phsyical threat of violence, significant mental trauma
Maybe it is a new day for us in the U.S. I know many of MySpace friends are in other countries. Barack Obama was nominated as the presidential candidate for the Democratic Party at their convention tonight. It was the 45th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s “I have a dream” speech at the foot of the Lincoln Memorial in our capital. What is remarkable to me is that we had a woman and

It's August, 2nd, 2008 and I have been doing a lot of thinking. Please, I spend so much time in my head, I blew "oy vey" away 10-years ago and replaced it with "oy gevalt". Seriously, yo. I'm a brain dwelling freak'o nature, which wouldn't be so terrible if I wasn't a raging insomniac. I haven't really slept properly in about a week. And another new day starts, which means I better start tackling that to-do list! I'll update this post throughout the day with my progress! My list kind of grew too. Today I woke up only to smile elated at this new day. I've been workings so hard these last months, demanding so much from myself. It's not the writing itself, although, I have well over 100 000 words (!), but fighting my own fears, prejudices, shortcomings and to some extent, lack of self confidence. I honestly suspected myself at times of not being capable of going through with it. Too much distraction. Too much self doubt. I needed to stay strong and focused, and listen only to the voice within me. Or voices, if you will. Well, I'll be damn, today I felt so damn good about myself. So I lingered in bed late, watching TV and reading celebrity gossip sites (I know!). Then, to further indulge myself, I had a raisin pastry before going to the gym. Yummy. Love in my tummy. I even went s

Storage unit rental sure has changed since storing in your home garage. Once upon a time, people who had garages would always have a corner cleared out for extra boxes. If they did not have a garage a lot of times then they would use their attic. Sheds are available to buy and put in your yard, for extra space. But usually those are filled with lawn care items or camping gear, or kids play things, bikes and such, and they fill pretty quick. Then when you need the tent it is way in the back of the shed and everything has to come out to get to it. And then everything has to go back in the way it came out. Not always easy. Some times people will store at their parents house or with someone who has more room then they have, just to get room in their own house. When looking

Hey guys! I passed my first final exam yesterday and I’m confident about my final grade. I checked this morning deals and found out that Star Fox Command (DS) was on sale for $19.99 which is a saving of $10 (not too bad for a great game). Note that, World in Conflict (PC) is also [...]

Well today is much better. Not pain-wise, but emotionally. I have no doubt in my mind anymore about what started yesterday. I don't believe it was a miscarriage whatsoever. And I just want to thank everyone who gave their sympathies and information (especially Becky who wrote me a gigantic, informative email!!!)! I of course feel like a poo for my completely mental breakdown over it, but oh well! I'm allowed to have a few of those days each year!!!We went to my 2nd cousin's 1st birthday party today. Elaina decided she was going to take over and ripped open all of her gifts for her and then when the Daddy brought out a huge red wagon gift, Elaina promptly jumped on in! *SIGH* What to do?! And of course everyone kept saying, "Oh she's fine, she's fine!" but when it's YOUR child, you feel a b
We had one of those nights last night. The kind where several kids wake up multiple times. One wet through his diaper and all over the bed, another time he needed a drink, one had a bad dream and on the way to tell us, ran into our closet door...you get the picture. But! Today is a new day! YAY!
It got off to a bit of a rough start...It had to do with Noah not liking the new jeans I got him (

To wait for someone else, or to expect someone else to make my life richer, or fuller, or more satisfying, puts me in a constant state of suspension.
How tempting it is to make another person responsible for our happiness, and how absurd. To give such power to others means we're at their mercy; it does not mean we're happy. Whereas, accepting full responsibility for our own acts and feelings
"Happy New Year to all my friends..."The first day of 2008. Last night some of the main road were closed to celebrate New Year's Eve. My friend asked me to spent the night together, but I thought it would be a big mistake if we have no plan where to go/what to do because it must be crowded on the street. So I decided to joined my family to go to my twin mom's house. My sister cooked for us, like always, and my brothers grilled some fish, prawns, corns, and chicken. Yummy yummy... I was so full I couldn't eat anymore. Hahaha...Not like a year ago, last night was raining. The last time I remembered that I was talking to my sister and cousin in the living room then I felt sleepy... Zzz... When I woke up... KYAAA!!! I missed it. I missed the countdown, I missed the fireworks, I missed the mome

It's a new day and I'm going to recommend a book, it's a book that will change your life. It's written for Canadians but it applies to everyone. The book? It's called Ecoholic by Adria Vasil, it's one of those books that you can't put down, it's a book that makes you sit up and take notice, it's a book about choices and once you've read this book and know the truth about your choices and how

Living near downtown, I can hear the city waking up every morning. It starts with a kind of buzz, as the traffic increases, and people head to work. It is hard to take pictures at dawn without getting run over, but I didn't and here are some that I took on Thursday.
Kellogg Boulevard, looking East, of course. A friend asked how I get the clouds to cooperate when I take pictures. It is easy, I just ask them to be there and they show up.

Sometimes I truly hate Mondays, today was such a time. It’s been cold, hard winds and lots and lots of rain. We had quit early, which under the circumstance was quite OK. We got to a few ancient remains as well, two types of cocking pits. The round one which is normally dated to early Iron Age and a rectangular one that is normally dated to the Vendel- or Viking Age. I am not sure that this predication is really right for this part of Scandinavia as the finds are so different from areas further south and east. I am not sure what kind of nomenclature should best describe the phases, early and late Iron Age perhaps. Besides this we are currently excavating a possible construction, so far we are not sure of its function or if might be a natural formation, when we are more clear on the matter I’ll post some pictures and som info about it.
There are some odd remains that exists in the neighbourhood, for example the Sangis grave, Raa 81:1 in Nederkalix parish(mound). I haven&rsqu
Another week? Another month? Another year? Don’t be fooled: It’s a new day, and only if you live on earth.
Everything flows and nothing abides; everything gives way and nothing stays fixed. You cannot step twice into the same river, for other waters and yet others, go flowing on. Time is a child, moving counters in a game; the royal power is a child’s. - Heraclitus

AUSTRALIA teen Jason Day today became the youngest winner of a US PGA Tour-sponsored event, when he chalked up his maiden victory on the Nationwide tour at Higland Heights, Ohio today (AEST).
Day, 19, fired a four-under-par, final-round 67 to beat compatriot Scott Gardiner (67) by a shot, with India’s Arjun Atwal (66) making it an all-international podium by finishing third.
Fellow Aussie David McKenzie, who entered the final round tied for the lead with Day, fired a closing more…
Wew... I'm so tired today. Tired but also relief. This is my today's horoscope on Friendster :
The obstacles in your life right now are minor ones -- no more than little speed bumps along a very happy road. They're actually going to be a bit fun for you to navigate, and will add a little bit of excitement to a somewhat ho-hum day. Your routine is pleasant and calming to you right now -- but as
I like being “out” at work. Because it inspires people to say things like, “I would’ve never known!” and “You are one of those cute pregnant ladies!” and “You’re handling it beautifully!”.
And, admittedly, I like to hear all of those things.
Nothing has changed much at work. I’m still the smart-ass I always am. I still take three flights of stairs to get to my desk. I still park in the back parking lot. I rarely take a lunch break. (I’m going to get better about that one — I swear!)
But it’s different because I don’t feel like I’m carrying a lie.
Now I can waddle without wondering if people have labeled me as “the tard of the second floor”. I can hold my tummy when I need to without worrying that it’s silly-looking. And I can admit that there’s a reason I have weird bodily noises now: “it’s the baby.”
Tomorrow.. SUSHI THURS
Today was pretty busy. I had to go to town to get the rascals their immunizations, that was hell in a handbasket. Nah they were pretty good about it, they all got an average of four shots, all at once, it is so good how they do that, although I can imagine it is pretty painful, but my boys are troopers only crying for maybe less then a minute or 30 seconds. I am almost all packed for my trip, so its getting close, I am so nervous. I got family coming out of the friggin woodwork now, all wanting to meet me and my bro, which is kind of nice, but it is difficult making time for everything, if only there were more hours in the day for these kind of things. My hub will have a great week though I think with the boys, they tend to behave better with him then I, which irks me, but hey if he can have a great week then more power to him. :) I still have onts of stuff to do before I go, and tons of stuff to do when I am there, I will be almost thankful it is over. I am gunna miss my boys, all fou
For those of you who may have missed yesterday's grotesque flogging of sub-prime lender New Century Financial (NYSE:NEW), here's a wrap-up.On Wednesday, NEW announced that it would need to restate earnings for the first three quarters of 2006 in order to "correct errors the company discovered in its application of generally accepted accounting principlesâ€.Apparently, they wrongly calculated the impact of their repurchased loans (loans that immediately go bad at the first payment and get repurchased by the lender) in the following ways:They did not include the expected "discount upon disposition†of the repurchased loans when estimating their allowance for repurchased loans. In this way it appears that they may have exceeded their reserve for expenses related to bad loans. They incorrectly estimated the volume of repurchase claims for the first three quarters of 2006. Again, it appears that they significantly underestimated the number of bad loans they would be repurchasing
From the Palm Beach Post's S.V. Date:For a decade and a half, [Florida] has offered massive subsidies and other carrots with the hope of enticing the private insurance industry to continue writing hurricane coverage. This week, [Gov. Charlie] Crist is ready to use a big stick instead to force the industry to lower its rates, and, if it doesn't, to have the state-run insurer prepared to step in as a backstop."They can be the most competitive, even, if that works for the advantage of our people," Crist said. "Let's understand: We're already in this business. We're here. So let's acknowledge what the current reality is and work as best we can within it to help the people."The state-run insurer, Citizens Property Insurance Corporation, is Florida's largest property insurer, with State Farm for the moment a close second. Whether that will remain so following this week's special session of the state legislature, or whether a state is on its way to becoming its citizens' only property

Ok - I am so not going to be over the Patriots loss for quite a while, but I figure I have to move on with my life... right?I posted a ton today and I realize that I'm just bored! I knew I was going to take a full week off from writing but I have found myself wanted to search for work just to relieve the boredom - but alas, my Patriots were playing and I couldn't commit to anything tonight!Giving up my online time has proven to be tougher than I thought. This morning I swore I could do it, I couldn't even find anything to do online, but now, here I am going on my 3rd hour... (slaps hand)I just can't stop!So that brings me to the conversation of the evening (or middle of the night, which ever you prefer)Does everyone have addictive personalities of some sort?I can name MANY things that I am addicted to. It all started back in school really for me, I was addicted to reading. Then it moved onto to dating. I was actually addicted to dating! I couldn't be without a guy for longer
