It’s very surprising to find that my netvibes is not working property today. Netvibes says many of my feeds are not working properly or invalid. This is simply not true because I have used Google Reader and Blogline desktop reader FeedDemon at the same time. Bien, estuve tratando de todo para arreglar el problema de acentos en NetVibes, y parece que sólo aparece en los títulos. El texto lo veo correctamente. Así que la única forma de corregirlo, me parece, es simplemente no acentuar los títulos, ya que es la única forma que se me ocurre, se muestre correctamente en Netvibes. De hecho, no es mala idea de dejar de acentuar títulos, pues también hará el trabajo de permalinks, algo más simple para Wordpress. Lo que quería saber, para los que utilizan NetVibes, es si el problema de los acentos es recurrente en el artículo? O sólo, como me sucede a mi, se muestra en los titulares? Hoy comienza el Rugby World Cup (estoy esperando el partido Argentina - Francia) y los chicos de Netvibes ya tienen un widget para nuestra página de inicio. Podremos seguir todos los partidos, los horarios de comienzo, dónde se juegan y los resultados del mundial de rugby. Lo bueno que tiene el widget es que es muy completo y está disponible en tres idiomas, español, inglés y francés. Podemos ver las tablas de las zonas, qué equipo se encuentra en cada zona y su puntaje. I am no longer a “work from home” web geek. Still a web geek, yes, but I have accepted a full-time position with a company that requires me to be in the office. Sad But True. Of course this means that I have multiple machines that I am working on and more importantly reading RSS feeds on. Up until now I have used the Sage FireFox AddOn and have been extremely happy with it. Instead of trying to synchronize my various FireFox installations to keep using Sage I decided to take the plunge and start using an internet based RSS reader. Netvibes is not only rss reader but also can gather all web things in just one page, such as weather forecast, webnote, to do list, calendar, email, web messenger (meebo), search engine, bookmark and other widget that you can find in Netvibes ecosystem. I subscribe to a fairly large number of RSS feeds and have been using IE7 to subscribe and manage them and have grown frustrated with the time it takes to rapidly scan my feeds for pertinent information.Then I found a service called NetVibes. NetVibes is a web based service that lets you creates pages of feeds that you can look at like a snapshot. You can even create multiple tabs based on topics or other categories.In addition NetVibes has all kinds of little widgets you can put on a page like weather, calendar, to do lists and more. Another cool thing NetVibes provides is the ability to drag around your various feeds and widgets to the location or even the tab you want them in.This has sped up my information scanning and targeting tremendously. Supongo que como respuesta al renovado iGoogle (ex Google Personalized Homepage, o “Google IG” a secas). los encargados de NetVibes acaban de sacar la opción de ponerle temas o “skins” a nuestra página inicial. Si bien antes teníamos la opción de cambiarle de color al look de la página, esto era una especie de personalización bastante limitada.
