Warning: inane ramblings from a person going through a nervous breakdown
Where is it? I thought I left it around here somewhere, my sanity. This is my home right? The walls seem a darker hue, like made of stone. I know what I am supposed to be doing, but I’m so confused. It feels as though I am hovering above my body, watching, watching this movie of [...]

      Daisy's nervous breakdown
My dog is neurotic. Yeah, yeah, a friend recently told me all dogs are neurotic, so Daisy is not unique.I think my house is spurring Daisy into a full blown nervous breakdown.I met Daisy about three years ago when I was living in Michigan, depressed and mid-life crisis-ing because I had graduated from a doctoral program, broken up with a guy who I thought I would marry but fortunately figured out he was psycho, and moved to a small town in the Midwest. I needed a friend, and I found Daisy. When I first met her, Daisy was about 4 months old. She was named by the folks at the animal shelter "Ashleigh" which I found repulsive and did not fit her rambunctious personality. When she came to the house and ran around the back yard, she ate a daisy -- the name stuck.Daisy and I lived peacefully in Michigan; we survived the insane 8 year old who lived next door, a burglar who didn't steal anything but seemingly enjoyed walking around my house in the middle of the night, and the beginning and

      Nature Sounds Clock= Nervous Breakdown
Recently my husband bought one of these things which I thought sounded like a cool idea at first. I figured we would listen to a nice thunderstorm as we drifted off to sleep or maybe some gentle wind chimes. WRONG ANSWER! What we got instead was the following...Frogs- These slimy little bastards do nothing but croak, burp, and splash around nonstop driving you completely fucking bonkers!! Who in the hell finds frogs croaking a comforting sound? I mean, sure if you had to grow up in the bayou or country where they never shut up then you have two choices- get use to them or go insane. After awhile I'm sure you don't even notice they are there but for the rest of us this is not a comforting nature sound! Personally it made me want to hunt down a bunch of their sorry asses and fry them up out of pure spite. This earned Hubby Guy a one-eyed sleepy glare.Ocean Waves With Seagulls- So you're listening to these relaxing ocean waves that are gently rocking you to sleep and just as you are a

Bob Krimm Headed for a Nervous Breakdown
This was posted on ASA forum on Jun 21 2007, 02:56 AM by 15HitsDaily-Admin aka Bob Krimm… I missed it initially because I was on vacation in Ft. Lauderdale for my birthday from the 21st until the 24th… Lets address this on a different level shall we? First of all, I know that all of you are used to scammers and thieves, I understand this! This is the reason I started 15hitsdaily in the first place. I too lost money in the auto surf world and just as you got sick and tired of being scammed. I know no matter what I say people will think I’m a scammer. But I will be presenting all the evidence of fraud and thievery to you on my new site http://watchbobkrimm.com very soon. We are still going through accounts and putting together files on all members. As well as files on the cheaters and scammers so we can pursue criminal charges against those who have stolen funds from us. This would include our dear friend Gerry Simoni. The biggest snake in the grass that has walke

      Nervous breakdown
Have you ever witnessed or experienced a nervous breakdown? It's an understandably frightening, and largely misunderstood, mental phenomenon. And the affect on family members as well as on the sufferer can often be devastating. The following (in red print below) is a beautifully written testament by Lisa Harlow, aged 23, who seventy-eight hours after her first mental breakdown sat in her hospital bed and wrote vigorously in her personal journal about her experience. Lisa subsequently handed the notes to our staff and gave permission for the notes to eventually be published in a book by yours truly. Here's a sample of Lisa's notes: I've never had a mental breakdown until now. I never really thought it was possible to have one. I thought it was like one of those things people say to excuse themselves from responsibility. I was up late most nights, and I drank a lot of coffee. I have a thesis and other projects due. To even look at them makes me want to throw up, honestly. My conc

      "Nervous Breakdown"?
This morning we discussed Paris Hilton's release from jail to house arrest for "medical" reasons. There has been a report that the concern was a "potential for a nervous breakdown". Nervous breakdown is not a real psychiatric diagnosis, not a DSM diagnosis. It is 1950's phrasing to express anything from serious depression to psychosis to anxiety problems. I think it is important for people to understand that a professional needs to evaluate someone to make a psychiatric diagnosis and that being very upset and stressed does not qualify. Psychiatry, like every other medical field, needs to be applied accurately and rigorously with scientific understanding as its basis. Psychiatric illness is real and can be devastating; it needs to be recognized and treated appropriately. The reason for Paris Hilton's release is still unknown, but should it turn out to be for mental health concerns I would be concerned about a misuse of the system. Medical and psychiatric care i
