Siamo giunti al secondo capitolo della storia degli Arcade Fire, gruppo canadese che ha riscosso particolare attenzione nel panorama Indie con il primo bellissimo lavoro Funeral datato 2004. Se la sono presi con calma i nostri, hanno ponderato bene il passo, hanno dato fiducia al tempo che li ha ripagati con un lavoro che conferma ancora una volta il talento di questa band.Se Funeral era un lavoro per certi versi sorprendente ma che faceva capire l'enorme potenziale del gruppo, il nuovo capitolo targato Arcade Fire è decisamente meno bizzarro, più canonico, come dire, più ordinato. Sono presenti meno colpi di scena nel disco e questa forse è la pecca più grande del lavoro, ma la qualità non ne risente.Si parte con un pezzo molto valido e convincente come Black Mirror, traccia che potrebbe essere tranquillamente uscita da Funeral ma che permette all'ascoltatore di capire quale sarà un pò il trend del nuovo disco...le orchestrazioni sono più ponderate, meno pesanti e barocche,
