Cindy Sheehan announced that she will run against Nancy Pelosi for her Congressional seat if Nancy Pelosi does not publicly put impeachment back on the table by July 23rd.I've never been a Cindy Sheehan fan, but not because I don't agree with her. So Cindy Sheehan resigned her fictional post as leading war protester to pursue a new career in politics. She has decided on extorting an impeachment proceeding from Nancy Pelosi by saying basically, “if you don’t do what I want I will run against you in the next election.” I’m sure this has Nancy Pelosi shaking in her Birkenstocks. Since the Democrats have been in power, nothing has been acomplished by them. They haven’t been able to stop the was as they promised. Only a fool thought they would step in and end the war anyway. They passed domestic legislation in their much publicized first 100 hours in congress. (Even though they called a timeout in the middle of the first 100 hours so they all could go home and watch the national championship college football game, before restarting the clock.) But only one piece of that legislation has become law. A meaningless minimum wage increase. This whole notion that families are trying to earn a living at minimum wage is absurd. Nancy Pelosi recently touted the Democrat’s successes so far in the new Democrat controlled congress. She said that these successes would help them win the whitehouse in 2008. What exactly are these successes? That is my question. I believe that the only piece of legislation that the congress passed and the president signed was the minimum wage increase. Other than that this has been a do nothing congress. This idea is reinforced by the gallop poll’s latest poll on congress. This poll has the congress approval rating at an all time low. It appears as though Nancy Pelosi may have committed a felony by heading to Syria. The Logan act makes it a felony for anyone to travel to a foreign country and conduct foreign policy without authority of the president. I doubt very much the president would ever take action on this, and I suppose I don’t blame him, but I almost wish he would. The fact that you won’t see this covered in the media is a clear indictment on the media.

Nancy Pelosi went to a terrorist state, and enemy of the United States, and did what Democrats do best. She made promises she can’t, and has no intentions to, keep. She told Syria that Israel was ready to negotiate peace. The only problem is, it was a lie. She either did this intentionally to try and embarrass the president, or she is just foolish and naive. Either way she made a huge blunder this week, and her mistakes just keep piling up. What she did manage to do was anger our biggest ally in the middle east, Israel.
