Carrie Grisham is looking at life through a lens and is getting noticed for it.On March 29, the Smithsonian notified this 24-year-old from Crownsville that she is a finalist in its fifth annual Photo Contest.Her photograph of a Sri Lankan fish market earned her a finalist spot from among 7,500 entrants and a chance to compete for the grand prize: an all-expenses paid trip to the Grand Canyon.       I have previously wriiten about Jeff Curto's two superb podcasts, The History Of Photography Podcast and Camera Position. I have been a bit behind in my listening, but in the car today had the chance to listen to the Febrauary 24th episode of Camera Position entitled The Camera In The Cathedral: Camera Position Goes Historical.The reason I thought that this particular episode should be mentioned is that it is specifically about the history of nature photography.       Best Bits - The best of Nature Photography on Davids-Pics
      Best Bits is finally here! This collection is a selection of the best photos posted to this blog in the past 2 months as selected by viewers. The ratings were gathered from a combination of the rating bar at the bottom of each post, and emailed submissions. There were a few firm favourites, especially the Odd one Out - Camphor-laurel leaves post, and others varied between submissions.
