A Myers Park High School teacher was arrested yesterday and is charged with two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. CMS officials said the charges pertain to his illegal online activities but did not provide any further information.Prior to his arrest, Allie Ellington, 61, was a Social Studies teacher at Myers Park High School. With this clip from the 1995 movie, Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers, we explore how much better an exploding head looks with a little more effort. Sure, a head probably won't explode from being electrocuted, but the explosion itself looks great. The scene where John Strode's head pops actually looks very similar to Belloq's in Raiders of the Lost Ark. The scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark had to be censored by superimposing flames over the image, which was created by using a shotgun to shoot a dummy head filled with bloody chunks. The same technique was used for the exploding head in Scanners. So, that's how they do it!

Caramel Bella, Jessica Alba will star in Mike Myers‘ new film, “The Love Guru.” According to Entertainment Weekly, Myers “will play Pitka, an American raised by gurus in India who moves to the U.S. where he gets involved in resolving a rift between a professional hockey player (Romany Malco) and his estranged wife, who starts an affair with a rival hockey player. Beautiful Alba will play the hockey team owner.
The film begins production in Toronto, Canada this September and is schedule to open June 20, 2008.

Brett Myers tossed six-plus strong innings, but the Tampa Bay Devil Rays rallied against Philadelphia's bullpen for a 5-4 victory in a split-squad game Sunday. Myers gave up an unearned run, two hits and fanned seven. Myers still hasn't been given the nod by Phillies manager Charlie Manuel to start Opening Day. If Myers doesn't get the assignment, it most likely would go to Freddy Garcia, acquired in a trade with the Chicago White Sox in the offseason. Myers, who signed a $25.75 million, three-year contract last month, went 12-7 with a 3.91 ERA in 31 starts last season. He led the Phillies in wins, ERA, starts, innings (198), strikeouts (189), winning percentage (.632) and opponents' batting average (.257). Myers is 1-0 with a 3.09 ERA and 13 strikeouts through 11 2/3 spring innings. He will be one of the top 25 starters off the board on Draft Day.
