The latest studio vlog from Mute Math features Roy Mitchell-Cárdenas and Darren King the New Orleans, Louisiana rock band clapping as they work on their second full-length album. Watch the clapping below the fold.
For the longest time my six year old Tristan wanted to be Stevie Ray Vaughn..Then he wanted to be Steve Vai….Then Eric Clapton or John Pettrucci. Today he put on his Christmas outfit and told me who he wants to be now. He tried his best mock pose of the Typical video by Mute Math. Seems he wants to be their guitarist.
Looks like he is gonna give them a run for their money. What do you think?
Remember those heady days back in the late 90’s when Feeder were good? Just a Day, Buck Rogers, stuff like that? Well, if you miss those brilliant pop-rock crossover tracks then look no further than Mute Math, a New Orleans fourpiece who manage to combine the pop-rock of Feeder with the strength and musicianship of Biffy Clyro into their live shows.
Playing last night at Monto Water Rats, Mute Math were the last to go on for what was meant to be a three band evening. Opening were South Africans The Parlotones, who sound like Fall Out Boy but without quite as many crowd pleasers. Ticking just about every box for clichés, they provided some fun pop/emo/indie mixture, and should please legions of teenage girls around the UK with their eye-linered lead singer, elaborate stage costumes, and crazy shapes being thrown from lead singer Kahn Morbee.
Next were meant to be Envy Corps, however after setting up all of their equipment it became clear quickly that Luke Pettipoole, their guitarist
Ya se encuentra disponible el Tema principal de la Película Transformers, interpretado por la banda Estadounidense “Mute Math”, y que pueden oírlo en la “página” (myspace) del grupo (click aquí)
The only reason that I know about Mute Math's music is that they cover the Transformer's Theme for the upcoming movie. They are pretty good though. I listened to the three other songs that were on...

It's been a while since I last posted a link to a video - I feel justified doing so today. While this flick did turn up on Gizmodo it's worth reposting here. The video, for Mute Math's 'Typical' was shot backwards in one take and is presented in reverse for your viewing pleasure.
Check it out and let me know what you think.

Interesante video musical, donde absolutamente todo el video ha sido grabado “al revés”. Ok, ya se ha hecho antes (Jack Johnson, Coldplay), pero bueno, la elaboración de este es más complicada aún
Compártelo!
Mute Math, the electro-alt-rock, the funny name and the hot voices. I like these guys, they have lots of energy. Check out the clip below Mute Math, track tittle - Typical, performing on Jimmy Kimmel.Mute Math’s style is quirky and their influences seem wide and varied. Some tracks sound post-U2, there are hints of Coldplay, a dash of The Mars Volta energy, all upheld by often very DJ Shadow influenced grooves. Vocally, Paul Meany has moments reminiscent of Police-era Sting and has the knack of speaking truth and honesty without ever sounding preachy or cliché. “I blame it [our style] on the past forty years of music,” explains Meany. And he means it. Their repertoire of live instruments include a Fender Rhodes, a Keytar (what you get when you cross a keyboard with a guitar) and even some weird homemade instrument called The Atari. Accounting for the oddness? Over half the members of Mute Math are ex-members of the now disbanded Earthsuit.site here.source
Thats the awesomely hilarious quandary that Christian rock bands face. They get together hoping to spread their message, but if they find themselves talented enough to attract a non-Christian audience, they have to drop all instances of religiosity ...
This, surprisingly, is Mute Math's first professional video. The premise is catchy; any time a lead singer is getting pelted with paint or the band is covered in Post-It Notes, I am all for it. Mute Math first popped onto the ol' SMS radar when the...
