UEFA Cup: Zenit St. Petersburg - Bayern Munich 4-0; 01.05.2008
Zenit a intrat in Cupa UEFA, in turul II preliminar, acolo unde a eliminat echipa slovaca FC Vion Zlate Moravce dupa o dubla victorie 2-0, in deplasare si 3-0, acasa. In primul tur al Cupei UEFA a eliminat, proaspata campioana a Belgiei, Standard Liege, dupa o victorie in Rusia, 3-0, si un egal la Liege, 1-1.Calficata in grupe, Zenit s-a calificat de pe locul 3, cu doar 5 pct obtinute intr-o grupa extrem de grea, alaturi

Bayern Munich Mull Bid For Sao Paulo's Breno
I told you to watch the Copa Sudamericana and specifically mentioned this kid (he's all of 18) as one you'd be hearing about soon. Real Madrid have expressed interest and now so have Bayern, according to German soccer 'zine kicker.de. The Bavarian juggernaut apparently want Breno as soon as the winter break, but Sao Paulo are not willing to negotiate before next summer. Actually kicker reports that AC Milan, Fiorentina and Juventus are interested as well. Apparently Sao Paulo are asking €14 million for his services. Thanks to Breno, the Sao Paulo defense was nearly impenetrable this season, yielding only 15 goals in 36 games and at one point stringing together 998 minutes without being scored on . He can play both center and right back.

Last gasp win for Liverpool, Bayern Munich and Barcelona crashed out
Last night’s match has seen some shock results as Bayern Munich and Barcelona lose their match in their respective league. Bayern Munich lose to VBF Stuttgart 3 -1 with the Brazillian defender Lucio had been sent out. This is a bad performance from them as they started very well in the early stage of the league.  I guess they will work it out to sort out their problems and maintain at the top of the league. Barcelona on the other hand had the same fate as Bayern Munich as they crashed out 2-0 to Schuster’s old team Getafe. Zambrotta also have been sent out, bet the game was a tight one for Barcelona. Meanwhile on EPL, Liverpool win their match against Fulham with two late goals 10 minutes from time by Fernando Torres and a penalty by Steven Gerard. Nonetheless, this is a boost for Liverpool to keep on winning and try to catch the top teams like Arsenal and Manchester United for the league title. Movies You Should Watch: Munich (2005)
This is not your typical Steven Spielberg movie, but it may be one of the best movies he has ever direct. It's about five men who were chosen to avenge the death of the 11 Israeli athletes that were murdered during the 1972 Munich Olympics by terrorists. The main character is a agent named Avner, a family man who has the ability to be a heartless murderer. He must juggle his family life with his Jewish pride and hate for Palestine. The movie dwelves into each elimination of the terrorists with amazing detail. RENEWABLES: Renewable energy projects to get Munich Re cover in India
German reinsurer Munich Re has developed an insurance cover that will boost renewable energy projects in India by guaranteeing polluters in developed countries carbon credits from their investments in renewable energy projects in developing countries such as India. The insurance cover — the Kyto Multirisk policy — is expected to lead to more investments into renewable energy in countries such as India. Under the Kyoto Protocol, there is a facility, where polluting companies, instead of improving their carbon dioxide output, invest in renewable energy projects. In return for their investments, the polluting companies receive emission credits."The Kyoto policy goes beyond the traditional cover. If it is a solar plant or wind energy, we are guaranteeing a minimum level of electricity generation. We are also covering at providing political risks," said Ludger Arnoldussen, member of the board of management, Munich Re.He added that companies are willing to invest in such projects because

Robin Rhode, Untitled (Street Light), 2006, © Robin RhodeDid I ever tell you I love the work of south africa born artist Robin Rhode? Yes, I guess I already told you here and here ;-) He is the nearly husband of a very good friend of mine and father to their child. They live in Berlin right now and when I'm in Berlin I most likely stay in their house. Well, Robin has a solo exhibition at Haus der Kunst starting tonight with a performance and I'm going to make the three hours car ride there to see it. I'm so excited. Even more because of the fact that I'm going to the new American Apparel store here in Heidelberg before that to get something nice to wear (since my real latex pants ripped off the other day, I'm planning to get the "fake" ones from aa)...Pressrelease:In baseball, a team immediately leaves the playing field following a walk off home run. For Robin Rhode the walk off is the last painting in a series or the last line of a drawing, the thing that sets the tone for the
