Conor got his cheap, battery operated bubble blower 'mildly' entangled in his mane. He was not at all bothered by it, despite the tense look on his face in the photo. He just wanted to start playing with it again. I had a feeling he might try it out on Isla which is why I let him have it while she was in relatively safety, napping in the next room.The photos are more evidence for his father. I dislike most of these cheap toys bought on a whim. If they don't attack, they're broken within a day.Meanwhile, Isla fell asleep sitting up for the first time. Conor used to do this a lot. I had to include a before nap shot. She's finally getting some wear out of her many pairs of dungarees unfortunately most are 3/4 leg length and will not be suitable for winter. Ugh.

I just saw a program in the National Geographic Channel about a group of scientists who found a dinosaur that is 67million yrs. old preserved so well that you can still see the scales in its body. And shockingly, there was a crocodile underneath it. It's death is still a mystery to them but this mummy dinosaur will open up new things we need to learn about their way of life. Joe Douglas, who earlier in the month set a record for riding Universal Studios Revenge of the Mummy dark ride/roller coaster, has broken his 101 trip record.  Demolished it actually.  132 trips. Joe posted an update in my earlier blog posting that the wait times were only around 5 minutes all day. Universal should take advantage or Joe’s fandom and issue a press release about his accomplishment.  Even better, they could work out a day with Joe where he is able to ride consecutively w/o getting off except for a needed break (bathroom, stretch, etc.)  By cutting out the time Joe would spend in the queue- either walking or waiting, Joe should be able to eclipse the 132 number.   During a slow day, this would have little impact on the park visitors.  If Joe is alone, they could fill the rest of his row with others.  This could be easy publicity.  Especially if they do it now.  Universal is trying to do more for Christmas and this would be yet another opportunity for them t

Florida resident, Joe Douglas, has announced that he holds the record for the greatest number of rides in a single day on the Revenge of the Mummy coaster at Universal Studios, Florida. He says that his record is 101 rides and he can document them all. Evidently the stars were in alignment for Joe (and crowds were light and he used the single rider line and he has an understanding wife). Here’s to you, Joe. I’ve ridden the dark ride/coaster hybrid and I wasn’t that impressed. The coaster aspect isn’t all that coasterish. The dark ride aspect could be great, but you are rushed through all of the scenes. There was a lot of hype about a backwards portion… which lasts about as long as it takes me to lean back in my recliner and then lean it back up again. The set was pretty amazing, and I was pretty astonished that they were filming here in Montreal, Canada. I talked a little bit with the Script, who take care of the entire movie, and he told me that Brandon Fraser was shooting right now in the first set, the one that has snow on it, in front of a temple. They’ll be filming in Montreal until October 11th, if I remember well, after that, they’ll go back in China to finish the movie. The movie will star Brandon Fraser, Jet Li, Maria Bello and Luke Ford. The third Mummy movie will have Maria Bello in the female lead instead of Rachel Weisz. Weisz had to exit the Rob Cohen-directed film due to scheduling conflicts. Bello will play Evelyn O’Connell, adventurer wife of BrendanFraser’s character. The rest of the cast includes Luke Ford, Jet Li and Michelle Yeoh. It will bring the O’Connells and their full-grown son to China, where our heroes encounter a new Mummy, an ancient Chinese emperor cursed by a witch. Maria Bello will replace Rachel Weisz as the female lead in the Rob Cohen-directed Mummy 3, according to Variety. Bello (A History of Violence) was chosen to take over the character of Evelyn Carnahan O’Connell after Weisz declined to reprise the role she played in the first two movies. Brendan Fraser will return to the franchise as Rick O’Connell and Luke Ford will play Rick and Evelyn’s now-adult son Alex. In the upcoming third installment, the family will journey into the forbidden tombs of China and into the Himalayas, where they run into a new shape-shifting mummy, a former Chinese emperor (Jet Li) who was cursed by a female wizard (Michelle Yeoh). The Mummy 3 (some reports list the title as The Mummy: Curse of the Dragon) was written by Smallville creators Miles Millar and Alfred Gough. Shooting will begin in Montreal on July 27, and then move to China. The film will open in July 2008, just before the Olympics begin in Beijing.

Rumour has it that young Chinese actress Liu Yifei might be starring in Hollywood movie “Mummy 3: Curse of the Dragon.” Besides Brendan Fraser, Asian stars Jet Li and Michelle Yeoh have agreed to join the movie. The producer is still looking for a young Asian actress to fit in a supporting role, and Yifei has caught their attention. Yifei is the next best uprising star coming out of China after Zhang Zhiyi. Luke Ford will star as Brendan Fraser’s 20-something son in the third ‘Mummy’ film. Universal Pictures and director Rob Cohen have tapped 26-year-old Australian actor Luke Ford to star in the third installment of The Mummy. Cohen said that the future of the franchise might go completely in a father-son direction with Brendan Fraser — who plays American adventurer Rick O’Connell, the hero of the first two films — and Ford as his 20-something son, Alex O’Connell.

*shock!!* I thought they were out at work! It seems that my parents have sneakily left Ayeed and I at Nani’s house and went out and had fun without us. I learnt now that Mummy had an appointment with Prof. Mary Rauff so she took the day off. Daddy only worked in the morning and later in the afternoon they went out for lunch together …. without us! Urgh!! Could they have actually gone out to celebrate the blog’s first anniversary? I thought they only went out on Friday nights?? Humphh … !! Come, Momo! We have to plan a getaway, just the two of us!
