Sony has announced that MotorStorm 2, the sequel to the popular PS3-exclusive racing title from Evolution Studios, is coming this fall. Evolution Studios y Sony acaban de hacer público el primer teaser de la segunda parte de MotorStorm, uno de los juegos cuya primera entrega tuvo una mejor acogida por crítica y púbico en el catálogo de PlayStation 3.Ambientado en una isla tropical del Pacífico, el juego promete tener una mayor variedad en los escenarios que su anterior entrega con ríos, montañas, nubes volcánicas, lava... MotorStorm for Playstation 3 remains a gorgeous looking game and really boils down to this: It's an intense racing title with gorgeous graphics, a great variety of vehicles, and a bunch of levels and tracks that all look very similar. I understand that Motor Storm takes place in an undisclosed desert and is an undersground event...but do all the levels have to be sandy gold, gritty orange, and muddy maroon? Don't get me wrong...the different textures and tracks and how different vehicles all handle them is very fun. It's just a shame that all the tracks look so similar. There's actually not many tracks at all which further hampers what could be a fantastic game. It's a great start and a great showcase title for the PS3. It could be a franchise to contend with the next time around. Imagine
Pros - Amazing graphics, very detailed terrains, each track has its own distinct soundtrack, the crash scenes are amazing, the gestures of drivers are well implemented and fun to watch. Cons - Number of tracks is less, game gets repetitive after a while. Let me start by saying that i was a bit hesitant at first to buy a copy of MotorStorm, due to the short gameplay and less maps to race on. But eventually I bought it, and I can tell you that I’m happy i did. Before anything else, i would like emphasize that Motorstorm truly shines when played on an HDTV. You really get to appreciate the true effort that the guys at Evolution Studios went through to make this game live up to the hype. If you ever got the chance to see the behind the scenes videos, you’ll realize how much detail they have added into the game given the game was to be released on a blue ray disc. From the screen shots, it seems that Motorstorm has the “edge” as far as the variety of vehicles available at your disposal however, when DIRT is released, how do we know that the gameplay won’t be better than Motostorm? Or what if there’s twice as many tracks on DIRT than there was on Motorstorm? Gameplay trailer revealed by codemaster showed a variety of tracks raging from forest to racing tracks. Will DIRT have good online play? These are all questions leading to the much anticipated battle between - DIRT vs Motorstorm. E’ uscito solo da un paio di settimane in America e Giappone, e già Evolution Studios rilascia una importante estensione. Sarà disponibile da domani, giorno di lancio della PS3 in Europa, tramite download dal network PS3.
Domani, dunque, ci ha comprato una PS3 nuova di zecca, avrà la possibilità di scaricare la nuova patch per Motorstorm. Come descrive IGN, è una in-game list che, dopo il download automatico, permette di visualizzare durante il game-play una lista dei contatti online, facilitando dunque il gioco in multiplayer.
Sony ha anche confermato che la Buddy list ha un filtro per evitare indesiderate intrusioni nelle sessioni di giochi con i vostri amici. Chi volesse sapere di più su MotorStorm, può dare un’ occhiata alla nostra galleria immagini.

MotorStorm per PS3 sarà in uscita fra circa due settimane e, Evolution Studios, ci presenta una serie di materiale di presentazione niente male. Alcune settimane fa avevo riportato alcuni gameplay trailer che non rispecchiavano l’ High Definition promessa, ma adesso si comincia a ragionare…
Il livello di dettaglio è davvero incredibile, siamo quasi ai livelli di Gran Turismo HD! Da notare anche la qualità del video-editing che, come in molti casi, grazie a sapienti effetti video, “migliora” la qualità del prodotto…
