Questa edizione del Motor Show, come molte altre in passato, sarà all’insegna delle grandi novità mondiali. Porsche ha infatto deciso di presentare proprio a Bologna in anteprima mondiale una Limited Edition della piccola Boxster, battezzata RS60 Spyder, che ricorda la mitica Type 718 RS 60 Spyder degli anni ‘60, famosa soprattutto per la storica vittoria alla 12 Ore di Sebring del 1960. Il Motor Show di Bologna è in arrivo e come ogni anno le novità saranno davvero molte. Qui vogliamo parlare della concept che Citroen presenterà al Motor Show, Citroen Nemo. Proprio così, la Citroen ha deciso di chiamare un proprio modello con il nome del noto pesciolino della Walt Disney. Suzuki was obviously trying to tap into the So. Cal. culture of the LA Auto Show when it tasked Andry Specialty Vehicles to create the SX4-based Makai concept. After lopping off the roof, shaving the door handles and adding a NACA-like duct in the hood, they sprayed down the sedan in orange paint and accented it with the silver rollover hoop that provides another mounting point to attach a set of surfboards. LED running lights add some subtle flavor and 19-inch CEC wheels fill the widened wheel arches that frame four-wheel disc brakes with Rotora calipers.
Although the exterior appointments are cool enough, our favorite feature is inside. Instead of fitting the concept seats – normally an ergonomic disaster – it looks like Suzuki made a trek to their corporate pool, plucked the chairs from around the frosted glass table and welded them inside. The results are equal parts style and functionality that give soaking surfers a place to rest without mucking up the standard cloth seats. I

We’ve berated the styling of the Lexus IS-F at length, but throw the Southern California team over at FiveAxis into the mix and we’re ready to drive it out the front doors of the LA Auto Show. The combination of a custom six-inch wide body kit, Satin Black Pearl Paint and Satin Bronze accents make this IS-F a sports sedan we’d be happy to roll in. The installation of FiveAxis’ own custom 20-inch wheels (20×8.5 in front and 20×10.5 out back), swathed in the same bronze hue as the ducting, diffusers and exhausts, ties everything together, and the lowered ride height provided by the Tein adjustable coilovers brings it all down to earth, literally.
Performance is aided by a custom exhaust system and what FiveAxis is calling a “Stage 2″ engine package. What that means is beyond us, but we’re sure it’s got potential. Slowing those undefined extra horses is a set of Brembos at all four corners: 380 mm discs with six-piston calipers u

Designed by the automaker’s studio in Santa Monica, CA, Audi maintains that the Cross Cabriolet Quattro concept is distinctly American in its styling, with a jacked up ride height, elongated wheelbase and retractable soft-top.
As mentioned previously, power comes courtesy of a diesel mill putting 240 HP and 369 lb.-ft. of torque through all four wheels. Audi says the Cross Coupe will make it to 60 in 7.2-seconds, and if you tap the “Drive Select” option, fuel economy is boosted by an additional ten-percent.
While both the presentation and styling of the concept left us cold, some of the interior appointments piqued our curiosity. The MMI infotainment system combines traditional GPS functionality with Google Earth, to provide a real-time rendering

Well, more than 1.8 million people worldwide voted on GM's online survey, and one has beaten down the competition. Volkswagen's Up! concept after shown on 2007 Frankfurt Auto Show earlier this week, is coming to the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show and 2007 Los Angeles Auto Show (LA Motor Show ).Martin Winterkorn, head of Volkswagen, admitted the Volkswagen V-Dub Up! was likely to see production in a few years. We like the sound of VW heading back to its rear-engined roots, and look forward to seeing how the company does with it.Winterkorn also says VW will have variations of the platform to show off at both the Tokyo Motor Show 2007 next month and, in November, at the Los Angeles Auto Show 2007. What those might be, he didn't get into. Sedan? Wagon? Convertible? Hybrid? The world seems pretty engrossed with the Frankfurt auto show right now, so much so that another major international auto show has been completely overshadowed. The 2007 Tokyo Motor Show, which is set to go on in less than a month will see the introduction of many new and important concepts and models that will predict what’ll be on the roads of the future. So, let’s take a break from Germany and have a look at what Mitsubishi will be showing off to its home market.
The first big introduction will be the Concept-ZT. It’s a striking looking sedan that takes inspiration from the Lancer sports sedan, a car that is really helping to give the brand a true, defined image. At 194.9 inches long, with a wheelbase of 110.8 inches, the ZT is quite a large car, which might be a hint that this could be the replacement to the Galant, or perhaps even the introduction of a new large sedan that would take the spot of the defunct Diamante.

Mercedes will debut F700 with DiesOtto engine at the Frankfurt Motor Show Mercedes is bringing the green to the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show with their new sedan concept car, the F700. Remember that DiesOtto engine that we told you about a while back? It's making its debut in this new luxury sedan. To refresh your memory, that engine produces 238hp and 295ft-lb. of torque from just 1.8 liters of displacement using some new technology known to many as homogeneous charge compression ignition, or HCCI, which "operates in compression ignition mode under light loads and spark ignition at other times" according to our own Sam Abuelsamid. The fuel mileage of the car with the DiesOtto engine is expected to be almost 40 miles per gallon, which is excellent for such a large vehicle. The new F700 concept is just one of 18 vehicles that Mercedes is expected to showcase, including new Bluetec diesels and hybrids with both gasoline and diesel engines.
The Hyundai Motor Corporation is to show off the green car as the i-Blue Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle will be Unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show on the 13th September. It is not just the big automakers who are looking for a greener alternative as Hyundai show their commitment for the development to environmentally friendly vehicles.
The i-Blue Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle is hydrogen-powered and forms part of the zero-emission concept of vehicles which is to incorporate the third-generation of Hyundai’s fuel cell technology. The i-Blue is a step forward with the commercialization of Hyundai fuel cell vehicles, as they used to be on the SUV platform but is now to be featured on a CUV. Hyundai are very proud of the new i-Blue as it is their first vehicle with fuel cell technology that has been designed from the ground up. Although the design is more compact, Hyundai have still made the i-Blue both comfortable and safe.
