Mighty as the Sun that shines and the zestful daylight Opening as the tiny buds that stare up at the kite Rising forever; never to be doomed New beginnings and vigorous hours ahead that loomed Inkling as I write on the paper, the drying ink stares up Never to be stopped, the mornings revive it all, like a novel tea-cup Great stars that revitalize the nights shimmered in my eyes Singing good-bye as

"SPECTRAL MORNINGS is another fine five-star album from former Genesis axesmith Steve Hackett. After the amazing solo debut that was VOYAGE OF THE ACOLYTE, I had found its successor, PLEASE DON'T TOUCH, to be good, but slightly uneven -- it seemed to me that Hackett was trying to go in too many musical directions at once. SPECTRAL MORNINGS, however, is an altogether
People at Kraft are asking if I'd like to trade my bagel breakfast for a Bagel-ful. This?Or this? You had me with Andrea RosenThe Kraft Bagel-fuls TV ads got my attention. I have to say, put comedian Andrea Rosen on the TV commercial and it always gets my attention, she is good! (She is also seen in Yoplait ads among others). You know the TV commercials I'm talking about..? The one with a woman who
A light cloudy sky greeted me this morning after I woke up, having spent the night in one of the resorts directly opening onto Surin Beach. It was very early, so I could fully enjoy an empty tropical beach right here on Phuket, one of the busiest tourist destinations on Thailand.
My mornings — my days, my head — are filled with the Sonnerie de Ste-Geneviève du Mont-de-Paris (by Marin Marais). (Because. I don't know why. Because! Because it's beautiful!)Listen!Or watch this less refined, somewhat annoying version.I too shall play.

Starting on August 11th ESPN will be airing live SportsCenter episodes in the morning from 6 a.m. until 3 p.m. I really like this move. You have the opportunity to get any new updates in the morning and it is a nice change of pace from watching the same SportsCenter from the night [...]
Living the bulk of my life in California (and traditionally being a late sleeper) I’ve only rarely walked out to my car on a cold morning only to discover the windshield so covered with frost that I couldn’t see out of it. However, while chatting with a native New Hampshirite the other day he [...]
This is a photo out my kitchen window looking out onto my Brooklyn vista. I'm not by any stretch of the imagination a morning person, but I love Sunday mornings for some reason. They are so quiet and are decidedly my own. Before work, I brew a strong cup of tea (lapsang souchong this particular morning) and sit and look out the window. I look out at the house sparrows, the purple martins, the
You know Murphy’s Law “Whatever can go wrong will go wrong, and at the worst possible time, in the worst possible way” (Source:Wiki). Now this adage fits the Rush hour mornings and Traffic jams like a glove. It is the same old story of traffic jam, but a new twist is thrown in every morning [...]
Has it really been six years since we heard nappy hair Counting Crows frontman Adam Duritz croon his way through “American Girls” on the painfully underappreciated Hard Candy?
Yes it has, almost six years since July 30, 2002 to be exact. so we’re expecting just as much from this album as you are. Instead of sharing [...]

We had another amazing night at CharlotteONE on Tuesday night. The Return Worship Band knocked it out of the park. I'm so blessed to work with such talented individuals (even though they're all single and young and constantly ragging on me for being an old married man. But I can take it. They're just jealous that I married such a hottie for a wife. And on that point I must concur!).Dave Edwards from Oklahoma City came and brought the Word to us. He preached on knowing and living out the will of God from 1 Corinthians 16:1-8. - a powerful message that was right on target for the C1 crowd. Our set included:1. Joyful, Joyful We Adore Thee (Charlie Hall arrangement)2. How Awesome is the Lord Most High (Chris Tomlin)3. All Because of Jesus (Steve Fee)4. You Never Let Go (Matt Redman)5. Ce
One of my favorite bands, Counting Crows, is set to release their new album, "Saturday Nights & Sunday Mornings" on March 28, 2008. This is the band's first studio album since "Hard Candy" was released back in 2002. It has been about six years in between albums, but the Counting Crows still have a strong following that all began back when they first released "Mr. Jones" in 1993. Adam Duritz had this to say about the new album, "Saturday night is when you sin and Sunday is when you regret. Sinning is often done very loudly, angrily, bitterly, violently." The album is split up in to two halfs, the Saturday night half and the Sunday morning half. The Counting Crows are allowing fans to get a little preview of the new album. They recently released two of their new songs, "1492" and "When I Drea
Yesterday was one of those rare, lazy mornings in our home where we just hung-out with no rushing-rushing-rushing. When I write 'rare', I mean it!Here's how it happened: my partner received a phone call at 5 am from one of his golfing buddies whose sore throat and sickness prevented him from their scheduled early morning golf date. And since my partner usually (more like always!) has at least two or three golf dates scheduled per week and since the (now canceled) golf game was scheduled for 6:30 am which meant it was too late to try and round-up another golfer, he had ZERO choice but to relax. Relaxing isn't easy for him. Oh no!He's a Type A all the way, but he's learning to manage this get-up-and-go tendency as he's maturing. I've watched him relax more through the years without feeling
I'm procrastinating again. Either that or I'm just in the mood to write, though certainly not in the mood to write the stuff that pays the bills. Ah well.I'm working this morning. I had better get used to this 6 AM thing, because I got my spring semester schedule yesterday and I work at 6 AM five days a week. I requested it, actually. My therapist and I agree that I need consistency, especially in regards to my sleep schedule. So, I called up the manager who knows about my issues yesterday and explained this to him. I asked him if I could have this shift from 6 to 9:30 at East River Road Garage five days a week. He said it was fine and now it's mine. I am really excited about it, to be honest. I think getting up and going early in the morning will be good for me. I would do it all the time
Here's hoping you're all have a super funk christmas morning and a golden holiday. There are one or two presents still under the tree, maybe a bb gun in the back yard, and some ham somewhere, or maybe a cooked duck, which means it must be christmas. So, to all of you who lasted through the night, merry christmas from Blast Shields Down. Now get off the computer and spend some time with somebody somewhere; and we'll see you in a few days.CML
Simbang Gabi is the most significant Filipino Christmas tradition. These 9 mornings will begin this day December 16 to 24 and the mass will start as early as 4am. Filipinos faith and believe that if you complete the nine dawn masses your wishes will be granted. Many Filipinos go to church to express their devotion and faith to the Lord and welcoming the birth of Jesus Christ. Simbang Gabi also is where Filipino family shows the strong family bonding. At the church you can see lots of Christmas decors especially the Belen and the beautiful Parol (star lanterns). After the mass you can see outside the church lots of vendors they sell Filipino delicacies like; bibingka, puto bumbong, pan de sal and hot tsokolate.I'm so sad when Simbang Gabi is coming because I know I can't complete the nine dawn masses. I'm jealous for those people who live near the church, it's just a walking distance for them to attend and complete the 9 mornings.
Imagine waking up to the cool Banaue morning with a view of the rice terraces and tree-covered mountains just outside your window. That's what I experienced at the Banaue Hotel for the past few days, with rooms, function rooms and a restaurant that provides panoramic views of the rice terraces. That's one cluster of terraces in the Banaue poblacion which is still free from eyesores and other unsightly structures. It was our last day in Banaue and I'll definitely miss the cool mountain air and the great views. Before leaving for Manila, we listened to Ifugao Governor Teddy Baguilat talk about the challenges they have been facing in the preservation of the rice terraces and possible solutions to these problems. It's indeed very difficult to push for the preservation of these terraces when almost every young Ifugao dreams of making it big in the city, when G.I. sheets and hollow blocks become a status symbol. But there is definitely hope since the community realizes now that they are c
Well, let’s recant that statement for a sec. They’re definitely not better, but they do remind us of Saturday mornings episodes of G-Force. What we have here is the latest installment of Softbank phones. Yes these cellphones have been pimped out with themes from the popular manga Gacchaman aka G-force. Dope eh? But the makeover does not cease there, The entire interior wallpapers and icons received the transmogrification as well. Check the interior pics at the jump y’all. (more…)

We returned home late last night from 'up North' - visiting the inlaws and outlaws. While visiting my FIL I had an excellent situation to teach my daughter why I'm always so watchful and careful of what we eat while we are there; I showed her the expiration date on the Thousand Island salad dressing (September of 2006) we found in his refrigerator and the mustard that expired in July of 2000.
Purs matins A day off. Start with good, fresh coffee. Maple syrup on your pancakes, just a little. Pure morning. Une journée de liberté. Commençons avec un bon café, frais. Sirop d'érable sur les crêpes, juste un peu. Purs matins.
Hello All,My post this morning is just an FYI. I will not have time to post on most Tuesday mornings for a while. I am starting a study of Beth Moore's book "A Woman's Heart God's Dwelling Place." I look forward to my weekly sessions, but that means very little time on the computer in the morning. So, that said, I may have something for you later in the day, and sometimes, I may not. Love you all, and prayers for all of you. May the blessings of the Lord be upon you.In Him,Shalene Subscribe in a reader
Do I wake up early in the morning on weekends? Like duh! Of course I do! How can I not?
Every Saturday morning, I'd wake up early in the morning, to... Catch my favorite cartoon, Winx Club!
Why do I like this particular cartoon?
Actually I like many cartoons. Winx Club just happens to be one of my favorites.
I love the whole fairy-fairy kinda thing. It's quite obvious isn't it? Just look at my blog header...
P/s: Please do not make fun of me. I'd be really sad... ~>.
According to Matthew Flamm of NewYorkBusiness.com, local sports radio station WFAN has chosen former Jets QB Boomer Esiason to replace Don Imus in the mornings on their station. The station also hired veteran radio personality Craig Carton, who has hosted the Jersey Guys morning drive program on WKXW-FM in Trenton, N.J. for the last five years.
The show’s name will be Boomer and Carton in the Morning and it will debut on September 4th, running from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. for the morning commute.
…This is a good move for Jets fans, as we will likely see more Jets talk in the morning now and possibly a few more interviews with people within the Jets organization on the FAN, now that we have Boomer here. Boomer did have a tryout with the station for a week or so in late April and early May, where he worked with Chris Collinsworth in the mornings and interviewed Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum during that time…
It's yet another morning in which I've gotten up with very high anxiety. I had decided to work out in the evenings rather than the mornings because, well, I'm not very good at getting up early. Given that my knees are shot, I'm doing exclusively upper body stuff and my arms feel like jello. I can already see the progress, though. In only four workouts my arms are noticeably bigger. I'd always responded well to weight training: more evidence that I should've been a baseball player.I don't know how I got off on that tangent. So, what I was talking about was that I got out of bed extremely anxious yet again. I took my Klonopin right on time and am just waiting for it to go to work so I can go to work. I find myself wondering if I'll ever be normal again...will I ever be one of the perhaps hundreds of millions of Americans who wake up with a cup of coffee? My brain couldn't handle that right now. I can't even eat breakfast because my body can't handle the jolt of energy
Jessi is such a sweetheart in the mornings. She doesn’t bug us to get up, instead she will lay calmly next to us until it’s time to get up. Sometimes she will paw, but gently. Lucy paws too, and she is not gentle!
Jessi grabbed her red toy this morning, which seems to be her favorite, and dives onto the dog bed on the tile floor. I just have to laugh and smile, she is so cute. I can’t believe someone wouldn’t pay a million dollars to get her back!
It's an uneventful Memorial Day spent waiting for Terrence to fly into La Guardia from Atlanta so I'm once again "shamelessly" pasting a recent post from my friend Eileen's myspace blog because I love Sunday mornings like this in Manhattan:Okay...so I just woke up and decided to go to Bonsenior (sp?), a French bagel shop ... to get some AM coffee and enjoy the first nice morning we have had in a few days. It is gorgeous outside. I'm housesitting in the West Village and love going out and exploring my favorite neighborhood in the city. As I left Bonsenior... I found myself singing "Bonjour" from Beauty and the Beast... lol... because of all of the interesting things I saw in my little 2 block adventure. If you don't know "Beauty and the Beast" ...Belle sings a song as she is walking through the village noting all of the activity going on around her.I made my way over and noticed that the streets were much more quiet than they are at noon in this popular neighborhood. I approached Bo
I just wiped away a tear from my eye reading this one. I usually get incredibly frustrated, angry or sad when I read the news but this morning, I wiped away a tear while laughing. I loved the part where she had to lock the door and 'be sick'. LOL.
Enjoy your morning coffee... I'm off to write my morning Coffee Talk now, so I'll be back!

Apparently feeling a Freudian void of hoarding her own morning wood, Julia Harrison decided to carve a niche out for herself:"I look for the stories being quietly told by human bodies: a child's pout, a furrowed brow, a flash of cleavage, a clenched fist, a fading bruise. Our bodies express and illustrate our desires, needs, and concerns. We are our own ornament; my work draws attention to this relationship. I find wood to be convincingly fleshy and a pleasure to wear."The connection between hard surfaces and "fleshy pleasures" may be an easy one to understand, but Harrison's artwork definitely remains a bit off kilter. With sculpted buns and expressive lips, artists perhaps do sometimes have too much time on their hands. Though erotically appealing, definitely wear some splinter protection before taking them out for a test drive.[via]tags technorati : carving fleshy wood
Quicktime | Flash As soon as we crawl out of bed.. this is what you would see at our house. With Jordan starting school in August... mornings are never going to be the same around here! Pretty soon, it will be a mad dash to get a lunch made, school bag packed and Jordan off to school. No more laid back mornings like this! I'm excited for Jordan to be starting school, but I will miss this too. As you can see, coffee and TV are a large part of our morning :P
How was your Monday? Somehow surprises on the first work day seem to be magnified in our minds. So yesterday I was a few minutes late and yes I called to let them know I was running late. “A car was on fire on the side of the road” - Puzzled looks - “no really, it was right in front of me”.
Here’s the proof.

Since Leslie and I have been married we haven’t attended church. We have been to a couple, but we don’t have a place to fit. We fit with small groups of people, who like to share wine (or beer) and break bread. This doesn’t mean that I am in a spiritually shallow place though. I have been growing in my spirituality daily. Recognizing the divine all around me and learning from authors and speakers.
I decided I would share thoughts on Sunday. Maybe you went to church, maybe you didn’t. I didn’t, but here is my meditation for Sunday from a mentor of mine, Joseph Campbell, who passed away in 1987. This is from an essay he wrote in 1970 called “The Confrontation of Ease and West in Religion”, it can be found in his book, Myths to Live By.
A ritual is an organization of mythological symbols; and by participating in the drama of the rite one is brought directly in touch with these, not as verbal reports of historical events, either past, present, o
Cool, crisp September mornings--a new season Cool, crisp September mornings are a sign of a new season approaching. The heat of the summer will lessen and breezes will blow in a bit cooler. With the changes in season also come changes in routines. My Emily is going into her second year in preschool. So our morning routine won't be so slow and easy anymore. Time to get ready and go.This is a time that businesses also get back into a busy routine. One of my favorites to watch was the Great Blue Heron. I love its elegant yet prehistoric look. It would search the shallow water for its next meal, and freeze when it saw something move. The way it spread its wings and glided just a foot over the water to another area
SPACEMAN One-shotMike Allred/Lawrence MavritUS $2.95Oni PressEvery Saturday morning my little brother and I would get up at five thirty and sit with our noses plastered to the television screen, consuming massive amounts of cocoa frosted sugar bombs and watching Saturday Morning Cartoons. Six hours later, our mother, "God bless her," would peel our hyperactive little bodies off the ceiling. Twitching with massive sugar buzz and phosphor dot induced flicker vertigo, we were then banished to the hellish wilderness of "outside" for the duration of the weekend. But that was okay, because for those six hours, every week, we could escape our miserable little lives. During those precious few hours we could soar into outer space with Space Ghost or The Super Friends. We could explore exotic jungles with Tarzan and The Herculoids. Or, we could just get stupid crazy with Blue Falcon, Dynomutt, and the rest of the Hanna Barbera psycho circus.Pretty much every comic book reader that grew up in the
Why is it so hard to wake up in the morning? I haven't even heard the alarm go of tree days in a row. So I've been at least 1 hour late every single morning. I've tried everything, placing the alarm clock across the room so I have to get out of bed to turn it off, ending up falling asleep again. I've hidden the alarm under the bed and I'm using 3 different alarms that starts 5 minutes apart... Nothing helps!I will gladely try every tip you have!
