      Magic City Mondays….
Trey Songz was spotted at the strip joint the other night, posing with one of Magic City’s Finest. I sure hope he got his money worth!! This brought back memories of the first time I moved to Atlanta back in October of 2006. I had just left my job in radio so I attempted to set [...]

He doesn't just mix, sample, or spin, he's on the mic, on the keys, strummin' guitars, and hittin' the percussion. I also think there's this mix of ambient with hip hop that I totally dig. Random! Story gets better, Becca Hsu came on board and the band moved into the same house together and began to work at the same coffee shop! Late in '07, Chairs released their debut album File Folder off Mushpot Records. The album is packed with sweet synth filled pop tunes made from Moogs and Casiotones, drum machines and vocals layering over eachother. Tell me why I don't like Mondays
It's a Monday morning, so immediately I feel tired, apathetic and really not motivated to go to work. Ho hum. It will wear off a bit once I leave the flat, but it's frustrating to always find myself in this situation. Last night I submitted an online application for a new job. Deadline for applications is this coming Friday, and I should hear something within a week because there's an assessment centre on 7th March. Here's hoping I at least get an interview for this one. Submitting job applications and not getting anywhere at all is horrendously depressing. I know I have transferrable skills, and I know a lot of the jobs I have applied for I could do easily. Mostly though, I am just missing ex Boy Brewed Fresh. Getting dolled up and going out in order to try and distract myself from having to feel any real emotions isn't working and every guy I meet just makes me miss him more.Since I posted a brief rant over our break up a few weeks ago, I have seen him once or twice and it was a horrible mess of tears and words that neither of us can take back. The past two weeks can be summed up like tug-of-war: he said he wanted to get back together and so I said I didn't. Then when I decided I did, he had changed his mind and so on and so forth. This on-again-off-again has been going on for over three years now. No more Mondays!
I guess I had a case of the Mondays yesterday, but I’m feeling MUCH better today! The kids and I just finished watching the season premier of Sesame Street. It has a whole new opening sequence, and today’s episode had Tina Fey, Brian Williams from NBC news, and that guy Chris Brown who sings Run It. It was good! Still no Kermit the Frog doing the ol’ news anchor scenes, but I guess I just have to let that go! We’re about to head out of here and do the shopping I should have done yesterday. We are thisclose to being out of baby wipes, which would just be a SIN in this house. I’m going to get something to make for my twin club board meeting, too. I’m not sure what to make, but I’m sure I’ll figure out something AWESOME and AMAZING, just like ME. I’m making crockpot lasagna for dinner, if I can get back in time to get it started. Have a super Tuesday; I’m outtie!
