A Moment in the Sun: Tentacle Rape
Maybe it is a delusion of grandeur, maybe it is all mistake, but BSD has finally reached the pinnacle of internetdom. After a year of working out fingers to the bone and climbing, we have finally reached the google main page for something other than "blast shields" or "caleb michael lalinsky".Yes, folks... that's right... we're the number four google search result for "tentacle rape".Since we always seek to please our readers, we here at BSD would like to announce a new segment, called Tentacle Rape Corner, where we will be discussing all sorts of things tentacle related... both rape and yes, consensual sex... with tentacles involved, of course. We will also be working on other squid/octopus related subjects and are trying to hammer out an agreement with some Krakens for photo ops. Anyw

      Water Cooler Moment: Gossip Girl
Well this was the episode we've all been waiting for: the dropping of "the gay bomb". I actually really liked tonight's episode and even the standard boring sub plots of the parental units couldn't bore me. We all knew Serena's brother was the gay one...it was kind of an anti-climactic bomb, but it was a nice twist that Jenny was un-wittingly playing Upper East Side Hag with a boy named "Asher". 'I'm glad the war between Blair and Jenny ended. Jenny had been snowballing towards being the most annoying, bratty, c*nt on television. I don't believe in hitting your kids, but if i had to listen to her whip out the world's tinniest violin and sing the world's saddest song with her harpy voice, I would've killed myself. This whole war had me siding with Blair and I've actually grown to like her c

Saturdays Favorite Movie Moment: Turner And Hooch (and sort of a review)
Happy Saturday~ This Saturdays favorite movie moment is from the hilarious film, Turner And Hooch. Turner and Hooch hit theaters in 1989 starring Tom Hanks, Hooch, and Mare Winningham. The film is about the friendship that develops between a Detective and his only witness to a crime- the victims dog- who has the worst manners of any dog in history. Ordinarily, Hooch's lack of obedience training would have been the least of Detective Scott Turners (Hanks character) concerns, except since the murder the two crime fighters are forced to become roommates, although at least they're after the same bad guy. This clip is Turner's way of encouraging Hooch to stay in his "room" at night- because his refusal to do so is causing...well, a few problems in Turner's personal and professional life. It's

      A Moment of Relapse
A Moment of RelapseTonight on my way home, I almost had a moment of relapse. I guess at some point in life everyone has their addictions that they must fight.Off and on for the past three or so years I've been fighting with my own. Recently I've actually been doing good. I haven't had any cravings whatsoever. There had not been any temptations that might have caused me to slip up.That was until tonight. He crossed my mind.Yes my addiction was a person. I can actually pinpoint why. I was standing on line about to pay for my gas when a scent of cologne floated past my nose. It smelled exactly like the last cologne I smelled on him. The smell was so close I could just taste it.'Whatpump are you using, Miss?'Is what brought me back to reality. I was so tempted to dial those

      A Quiet Moment
When my husband and I were newlyweds there were things that we just did not understand. We often poked fun at those old couples who wore the same shirts whenever they went out. We have since learned that when you have been married for several years you begin to think alike more than you realize. There have been several days when I would emerge dressed only to find my hubby already wearing the same t-shirt or the same color shirt! It actually bothers me enough that I go and change. We never plan to wear the same thing, there are just days when it happens. I find it a bit frustrating but mostly humorous.Just like dressing alike there was another thing we have always tended to notice and say it was never going to happen to us because it is such a sad and horrible thing! Have you seen th

      I Need a Moment
Well.  It's Friday.  I'm not here. No, really.  I'm at the hospital. Right now. I've been dreading this day for a couple of weeks.  Not because I'm in a health crisis or because  I'm undergoing some MAJOR surgical operation.   I've been dreading it because I'm a baby. Yep, pretty much, a whiny, low-pain tolerance, ninny. I've canceled this procedure twice.  I don't like i.v.'s.  I don't like hospitals.  I don't like general anesthesia.   I've alluded to my last pregnancy.  It was a nightmare that Satan created in a dark corner of Hell.  (And I'm holding back here). I've had a few post-pregnancy related problems and my doctor decided to remove the lining of my uterus.   Permanently.  I didn't even wince when my husband had surgery last

Did Obama Have A Sister Souljah Moment?
Everyone wants to have a Sister Souljah moment these days in politics. Bill Clinton started this phenomenon and now Obama is trying to have his own. While Obama's repudiation of Rev Wright was needed, I hardly think this passes as a Sister Souljah moment. In 1992 Sister Souljah was quoted as saying "If black people kill black people every day, why not have a week and kill white people?". Her comments were geared towards the riots in L.A. at that time, but those comments considerably so scared white people. In order to secure the white vote that would've potentially defected to George H.W. Bush, Clinton had to make a choice. Clinton responded by saying "If you took the words ‘white’ and ‘black’ and you reversed them, you might think David Duke was giving that speech." (David Duke wa

David, probably, gets as many votes for his cuteness as he does for his singing. At this stage of the competition, it should have been Jason Castro who got voted off.  Jason's voice is too weak and montonous to compete with the others.Syesha Mercado has a fine R & B voice and she

Love – A Moment, An Experience
Every moment has the power to change your life forever. Life, like a line, is a conglomeration of these moments. Though life is made of moments, there are some life-defining moments which prove to be turning points or change the course of your life forever. I am talking about it because I have just realized that my life has been touched and turned on its head forever: by Rio.We were at the Imax Dome to catch a movie. We didn’t decide what we’d watch. Ultimately we watched nothing and spent the time chatting. Rio wanted to buy something for my pup Scarlett. The shop was round the corner at the mall. He asked me to wait and before leaving, said, “Don’t go away!” Very simply said, very casually put. But the only thing that hit me was – will I be able to go away? From him, from his

When we heard that Bungie was including a mode in Halo 3 that would allow players to record their sessions, we knew that over time, some crazy videos would start to make their way onto the net. Some are awe inspiring, some are strange and some are just downright hilarious. If you're wondering what I'm on about, take a look at this Halo video. It gives a good taste of the strange and crazy things that happen when you have an infinite amount of possibilities, and more importantly, the ability to share it with the world. Part 1:Part 2:Was reminded of this movie a few days ago and, much to my surprise, one of the best sequences from the movie was put on YouTube. A solid, no-frills b-action movie.Yes, Sylvester Stallone was capable of making a good movie.

Oops! The moment Sienna Miller's bikini malfunction left her showing a bit TOO much
The surf was up in California yesterday, but unfortunately for Sienna Miller, she was caught with her skimpy bikini top down. The actress revealed more than expected as she eagerly raced into the waves to cool off after lounging in the sun, with her tiny strapless number slipping down around her waist. Realising her moment of over-exposure, she quickly pulled her top up and returned to the

War News: Moment of Truth In Iraq
~Snooper~Just prior to my deploying to DC with Vets For Freedom for the Vets On The Hill event, I had finished Ray Robison's book Both In One Trench for the fourth time and had started reading SSG David Bellavia's book House To House. I finished Bellavia's book on the way home from DC. I received Michael Yon's book Moment of Truth In Iraq the day before I left for DC.I have just started reading Michael's book for the second time through. All three books I have mentioned above are must reads. Seriously. All three must become Best Seller list components. The only way this will happen is for all that read this post and many others being published as I write, is to buy the books, read them and by word of mouth, propel these books to the highest rankings possible. And, while I am promoting

Immelman man of the moment at Masters
Trevor Immelman felt goose bumps as he listened to a phone message left by Gary Player, his childhood idol and the last South African to slip on a green jacket at the Masters. Player told him to believe in himself, to be strong through the adversity that was sure to find him during the wind-whipped final [...]

      Pausing For A Station-Identification Moment
So, I was just mentioning to someone, that I bet, if you took an inventory of the adults who went through the Fort Wayne Community School system during the 70's and 80's, you would most likely find that there were a number of them (maybe even highly disporportionately in a positive sense) who would be considered very successful professionals. HECK! Just from you all who have reached out to me, I'm in awe of what you guys are accomplishing as professionals. It's just too bad that not all of you were able to stay in the Fort. But we'll save that "lack of job opportunities" for another day ;).ANYWAY - in two weeks, I'll be in San Francisco, California, speaking on something that me and my awesomely, wonderful team have been working on for the past year.If any of you past Fort Wayne'ers are Sa
