Yesterday the movie "More of Me" was released, and today I watched it. Molly Shannon is a dyna-Mom who is granted the wish of having more versions of herself to help accomplish her hectic schedule. The difference between "More of Me" and "Multiplicity" is that in "Multiplicity," Michael Keaton got to enjoy the fruits of his clones' labor. In "More of Me," as soon as Shannon's doubles show up, she becomes essentially a ghost. Can't see her, can't hear her. And she can't interact with her husband or kids, which provides the motivation to bring things back to normal in the end.The reason I bring this up is how environmentally concerned the film is (or seems to be). A major portion of the plot revolves around not cutting down a tree, and it's revealed that Shannon's character has raised her family with a "Green Contract" that prevents unnecessary car trips and purchases like bottled water. I’m at the point in my photography where I haven’t developed a strong style yet, so I’m envious of those who have. Molly Lesher is an artist who has done at least one theme very well — and it’s not a widely covered theme.
Her stuff is dark, demented, twisted, messed up, cold, innovative, and… yet very beautiful. She has seven galleries on her website, and they’re sort of divided into three or four main themes. Galleries one through three have the really screwed up stuff in them — I mean really screwed up. But it’s great, and I love it. I’ve got a lot of respect for a photographer who can do things like that. Galleries four and five are semi-random stuff, but in an interesting way. Gallery six has a lot of good macro work, and gallery seven is horses.

Molly is a Golden Retriever and she was about to have a big day out: Molly was going with her owner, a six year old girl, to see watch a softball game. As the two entered the park a foul ball went over the fence and hit Molly on the side of her nose. Blood trickled down from her mouth as a crowd gathered to check her injuries and to try and calm her little girl. With caring and kindness they talked to Molly who stood silent giving not even a whimper. They hugged her and her little girl. The spoke to Molly in the gentlest of sounds keeping her calm through the whole ordeal. Molly would be fine; it seemed she had just bitten her tongue as the ball grazed her.
