In this kind of acne, a large portion of face or other affected areas get affected with whiteheads, blackheads, pustules and papules. A dermatologist should preferably treat this acne and the treatment should begin as soon as you observe the outbreak. If this kind of acne persists it can cause scars. Scars can be of two types- pockmarks or pits or raised thick tissue. To prevent the formation of s

As Robert W Hefner has written in his book Civil Islam, the study of Islam in South East Asia is a particularly important and interesting area of research today as Indonesia has the largest Muslim population in the world. Thus understanding Islam in Indonesia is important for the West and for the global community. Within this context, Indonesian Muslim society has to work to counter the post-9/11

The looming Iran-Israel confrontation has a seemingly deterministic quality to it. Acne is ugly. It’s a simply the truth. Acne can ruin relationships and cause self-consciousness. There are many products and programs for people with severe acne, but what if your acne isn’t that bad and you can’t seem to get rid of it? It can be just as troubling. Just because it isn’t as bad doesn’t mean it’s okay. If you have moderate acne and can’t get rid of it, you aren’t tre

Like residential property, office rentals did appreciate in the first quarter but at a slower pace than in the four quarters last year, said property consultancy CB Richard Ellis (CBRE). But unlike homes, offices will still be able to achieve high rents due to strong demand and a lack of supply, said CBRE in a report released yesterday. Prime office rents were up 6.7 per cent at an average of $16 per sq ft (psf) per month in the first quarter, while Grade A office space - the best grade of space - climbed 8.7 per

"What percentage of a culture’s population can hold views that are completely at odds with the culture’s foundational reference points before said culture is irretrievably lost? 15%? 21%? 32%?" ... "Before it’s too late, Western nations should be asking themselves: with moderates like these, who needs extremists?" When observing the cultural existential struggle of the age, it’s hard not to be reminded of the story of the emperor who had no clothes: the citizens were all afraid to be the first to speak up and say something wasn’t right, so they all agreed that the emperor’s clothes were the finest they’d ever seen when he was, in fact, quite obviously, naked. It’s clear our society is in a bit of trouble, but people can’t even talk about it without the same sort of fear f

When Kentucky School News and Commentary began there was a problem to resolve. How does one manage the natural conflict between free speech (a very good thing) and the abusive name-calling (a bad thing that detracts from the public debate) that can dominate the comments section of a blog. Should KSN&C allow anonymous comments and take whatever we get? And if we do, would that drive the tone of the blog into the mud and undermine legitimate authority? Or is it better to require all commenters to identify themselves, perhaps stiffling legitimate comments from insiders who may have something to lose when commenting on matters of public policy, or politics?I chose to moderate the blog. Recently, I've noticed several other blogs ("liberal" and "conservative") following suit. Over at PolWatchers, John Stamper wrote, "We've had to spend way too much time the past few days deleting comments that don't comply with our comment policy. It's getting old. On my "Trolling the Left" section, I try to answer some of the arguments from left columnists and bloggers. I don't always intentionally choose the most extreme arguments either. In fact, most of the articles are recommended to me by my left friends at Magnasquids.

If you suffer from moderate to severe inflammatory acne, you will have to approach a doctor for its treatment. you will then be provided either with prescription topical, oral medicines or a combination of both types of medication.
There are numerous types of prescription topical medicines that can be used for treating acne which includes antibiotics and vitamin A derivatives, retinoids. Antibiotics are given to help slow or stop the growth of bacteria, and thus reduce inflammation.
Retinoids are given to help unplug any existing comedones you may have so that other topical medicines like antibiotics can enter the follicles and work better. There are also some retinoids that help in decreasing the formation of comedones as they are made from an altered form of vitamin A.
Other prescription medicine like prescription strength Benzoyl peroxide, products containing sodium sulfacetamide and Azelic acid are all effective in destroying P.acnes and in reducing the production of oil. In additi
The future of Christianity in America depends far more on those Christians who would describe themselves as "moderate," "progressive," or "liberal" than on the fundamentalists who have recently championed the merging of religion and government. So far, many moderates have been content to ignore the fundamentalists. However, this must change if they want a form of Christianity they will recognize to endure. As Austin Cline suggests, an important task for moderate Christians involves shifting their energy from attacks on the secular community to the fundamentalists who give their religion such a bad name.Christians and religious believers should spend more time dealing with believers they think are giving them a bad name than with generalizations from atheists. Which is ultimately causing more harm: generalizations made by a few atheist bloggers, or the incessant privileging of religion, religious beliefs, and religious believers? It is understandable that moderate Christians resent being
Moderate exercise like walking may be as good as or better than intense workouts when it comes to certain heart health measures, new research suggests. In a study of 240 overweight, middle-aged adults, researchers found that moderate exercise, but not vigorous activity, improved participants' levels of blood fats called triglycerides.Meanwhile, improvements in "good" HDL cholesterol seemed to depend on how much study participants exercised, and not how intensely. What's more, researchers found, both benefits were sustained when exercisers took a vacation from working out. All of this is good news for sedentary people who would find it hard to leap from the couch to a daily run, according to the study authors. ”Bad” cholesterol climbs with inactivityOn the other hand, there's bad news for sedentary people who would prefer to stay that way. In this study, participants who remained inactive saw their "bad" LDL cholesterol levels climb over just six months. The negative effects don
Ever since the atrocities of September 11th, 2001, there has been a lot of hopeful talk in the Western press about the vast majority of Muslims who are religious "moderates." Being moderates, they necessarily repudiate the theology of Osama bin Laden and disavow terrorism.Nor would they ever dream of killing another human being over a cartoon. Where are these moderate Muslims? How many of them exist? And how can we best empower them? These are all questions of crucial importance to the future of civilization, and they are questions for which I do not have any answers. But there is another question worth asking in the meantime: How do we recognize religious moderates in the first place? The author Sam Harris said "Anyone who thinks that non-Muslims should be obliged to conform to the religious taboos of Islam is not a Muslim moderate".Others say they are moderate if they they denounce terrorism and commit to peaceful means of resolving conflicts. What do you think?Indonesia News Blog: http
I’m getting very tired of listening to ‘moderate’ Christians taking shots at atheists like Richard Dawkins and Sam Harris for the tone in which they write. It has become a popular pastime to criticize because they take a hard line with religious belief and for the vociferous way they have gone on the offensive. For years the atheist has had to sit back and listen to the non coherent ramblings and downright balderdash that religious zealots have used, not to defend their irrational beliefs, but to spread hate and animosity in the name of their God. It seems no one has been spared from this hostility. Whether you’re gay or one that values the scientific method, you know that the religious right will be standing guard, silver crosses around their necks, Bibles in hand and hypocrisy on their lips shouting “fire, brimstone and death” to those who fail to conform to their 1st century philosophy.
If one wants to find a target to denunciate, then religious

There was controversy a short while ago over PBS' attempted oppression of a new Frank Gaffney documentary, Islam vs Islamists: Voices from the Muslim Center, which focuses on moderate Muslims and their views on extremists. It was suppressed because even the views of moderate Muslims are not allowed in the eyes of the extremists like CAIR, to name but one. Now, the Wash. We’ll package it and also produce some sort of discussion to accompany the film, and give it some context,” OPB President Steve Bass told The Washington Times yesterday.Gaffney's company has responded, and sums up what this is really saying:The travesty that has characterized the public broadcasting system’s handling of a taxpayer-underwritten documentary, “Islam
With all of the discussion of Giuliani, social issues, and politics, I've decided to come up with what I think is a workable methodology to values issues that would be acceptable to most people.
The essential dilemma for conservatives, as articulated well by commentators like Dennis Prager and poorly by 90% of other conservatives, is that while many in the center-right wish to conserve traditional standards of behavior, they also recognize that attempts to do so require one to exclude, to some degree, those who don't choose to conform to those guidelines. Not only is this consequence unacceptable to many conservatives, but neutral or hostile observers would perceive discrimination (true, by definition), a lack of compassion (not necessarily), or just plain meanness in the standard bearer's stance.
The approach I propose allows the moderate liberal or conservative to participate in the fighting retreat that is the culture war without breaking bonds of friendship or themselves ris

Moderate Revolt is a young arts collective with an eye towards other media making their convention debut at the Alternative Press Expo. We had a chance to talk to two of the members about Moderate Revolt and their artwork.
Christy: I’m Christy Negubala and I’m one of the artists for the Moderate Revlot.
Stacy: I’m Stacy Swan and not present is Cary Grafmiller, Joe Peeler, and Tess Blackwell and Grant Boomer.
Christy: Basically, we call ourselves the Moderate Revolt because it’s based on something John Stewart said during his stand up routine. He was talking about how our country is run by extremists and how they are the ones that make the rules. His hypothesis is that the people that are moderate, the normal people with good heads on their shoulders, all have shit to do. And so we are revolting, not neccesarily in the adjective sense, but we are the responsible moderate people that decided that we’re gonna try and take it upon ourselves to try and run
A moderate 5.2-magnitude earthquake struck Indonesia's Java island on Thursday, seismologists said, but there were no reports of casualties or damage. The quake was felt by Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono in the central city of Yogyakarta, local media reported. The undersea quake hit at 9:52 am (0252 GMT), 80 kilometres (50 miles) southeast of Bantul district in central Java at a depth of 21.9 kilometres, the Indonesian meteorological agency said.

Most atheists believe that religious extremism is a problem. Many religious moderates in America agree with us, especially if we are discussing Islamic extremism. However, most American atheists are more focused on Christian extremism because we encounter it more frequently, see countless examples of it throughout our society, and marvel at the reach of its influence to the highest levels of our government. Unfortunately, fewer Christian moderates have been willing to stand against their extremist brethren within Christianity. What role are moderate Christians to play, if any, in our opposition to Christian extremism? The culpability of religious moderates in facilitating religious extremism was a central them in both Dawkins' The God Delusion and Harris' The End of Faith: Religion, Terror, and the Future of Reason. In fact, this theme seems to have been an important part of what made both books unusually controversial. The point to emphasize here is that moderates are not accused of
By DANIEL PIPESJerusalem Post18 Apr 2007"What moderate Muslims?” is the near-inevitable retort to my stating that radical Islam is the problem and moderate Islam the solution.
Where are the anti-Islamists’ demonstrations against terror, their combating of Islamists, their reassessments of Islamic law? I am asked.
Moderate Muslims do exist, reply. Admittedly, they do not constitute a movement
Tens of thousands of mederate Muslims rallied in the streets of Karachi against the establishment of a Tlaiban-like Madrassa. The Moderate Musl;ims need to speak out against those who use Islam as a way of destroying life and liberty. Hopefully...
The Washington Times Daily13 Apr 2007There’s only one thing to do with the spiked PBS documentary, “Islam vs. Islamist: Voices from the Muslim Center.” Air it. If the Public Broadcasting Service won’t reconsider, this window on the struggle for the soul of Islam in the West — controversial and hard-hitting — will be picked up by some other network. It’s inevitable.

I don't even have to comment on this story. Every word speaks volumes loud and clear. ~RJH Jihad Watch article linkPBS Documentary on moderate Muslims dropped for fear of offending non-moderate ones"They could not bring themselves to declare people like Jasser 'moderate' because that would mean criticizing the fundamentalists whom the Jassers of the world oppose.""Producer: PBS dropped 'Islam vs. Islamists' on political grounds," by Dennis Wagner in The Arizona Republic, with thanks to all who sent this in:The producer of a tax-financed documentary on Islamic extremism claims his film has been dropped for political reasons from a television series that airs next week on more than 300 PBS stations nationwide. Key portions of the documentary focus on Dr. M. Zuhdi Jasser of Phoenix and his American Islamic Forum for Democracy, a non-profit organization of Muslim Americans who advocate patriotism, constitutional democracy and a separation of church and state.Martyn
Many people are claiming that the reason that Democrats dominated this election was because they ran more conservative candidates. Gary Bauer claimed this in his post-election spin:In order to win, they ran moderate candidates, many of whom embraced conservative values, such as the right to life and the sanctity of traditional marriage. But is this really true?
There is no doubt that some of the candidates that the Dems ran were more conservative than the party platform. But was this a trend among the winners? Or an exception?
Both Ezra and Kos dealt with this issue better than I can, so I give you them:
From Ezra:So is Shuler rightwing? Seems like a tough case to me. Sherrod Brown? Liberal as they come. Defeating South Dakota's abortion ban initiative? Passing Missouri's stem cell initiative? All those progressives who toppled liberal Republicans in the Northeast? Somebody think they won in the blue bastions with roaring conservatism? Meanwhile, the most conservative of the seri
She comes from Syria but lives in LA.She spoke out loud but quietly on Al Jazeera. The kind of words I've been expecting for 5 years (and calling from this excuse of a blog for 3 years) : the key war is waged by radical muslims against moderate muslims, Middle Age vs XXIst Century. Time for moderate muslims to wake up and make themselves heard. She's been threatened but it may be too late : media must make this kind of positions mainstream. Radicals cannot keep overflowing airtime with their hatred while they just represent a minority.
Since she dared a parallel between Jews and Muslims, she's been invited in Israel. Good point, but beware of traps, be careful not to weaken your stature within the Muslim community.

In Tulsa, Oklahoma, a moderate Muslim was menaced by other non-moderate ones (H/T: Michelle Malkin). Hot Air has a podcast about him, and also a PDF report by the Freedom House on Saudi mosque funding.
I have learnt my way through investing in stock market that I neither have a heart nor "Mad Money" to throw it to some individual stock. So I started doing research on ETFs (Exchange - Traded Funds).Exchange-traded funds (ETFs) are at the center of one of the biggest transformations in the indexing world, a no-frills fund category that was launched by Vanguard in 1976. As ETFs have spread to every corner of the stock market, both here and abroad, financial advisors small and large have been turning to these products for their flexibility, tax efficiency, low cost and, in some cases, market-beating returns. A decade ago 19 ETFs held a measly $6.7 billion. Now there are 387, according to State Street, that hold $422 billion. That's still a small sliver of the $10 trillion sitting in mutual funds, but the impact has been swift and dramatic. (Source: www.SmartMoney.com/etf)With the ETF universe growing at warp speed, I thought that it is about time that I start creating an All ETF Portfol
