Mitsubishi plans to launch a new model every six months in India. They have already plans for launching their SUV Mitsubishi Outlander in the Indian market by the end of this year. It further plans to add more products in India including Mitsubishi Montero. According to Kazyuki Kambayashi, general manager (Asia and ASEAN) of Mitsubishi, “We are open to ideas as the small car market is booming in India and we are still studying it. But we want to strengthen our hold in the SUV segment as Pajero and Montero are still our best selling vehicles worldwide”. German magazine Auto Bild has revealed the first unmasked pictures of the Mitsubishi Prototype S. The "S" is for Sportback, and this show car forecasts a future production vehicle. Sportback is for the European market, where hatches account for the majority of car sales. Up front, you have the Lancer Ralliart's nose, which is dressed up with more ornate, concept-style headlamps and foglights.The sloping rear hatch is topped by a large, body-colored roof spoiler, and restyled rear lighting wraps from the lid onto the quarter panels. Under the skin there is little changed although a new rear end with dual exhaust system squeeze an extra 2 hp out of the V6 engine giving a total of 265 hp.The main changes are the usual nose and tail modifications.
