Leslie Saunders II, 34, Kansas City, Missouri, pled guilty to conspiracy to commit money laundering stemming from a $14 million mortgage fraud that had focused on low income borrowers. Saunders had been involved in the same mortgage fraud scheme that triggered a federal indictment against six others in early November, 2007. Wood, United States Attorney for the Western District of Missouri, announced that a Kidder, Mo., attorney pleaded guilty in federal court today to defrauding a North Kansas City, Mo., bank in a series of loans totaling $866,810. Dawn Renee Harpster, 38, of Kidder, waived her right to a grand jury and pleaded guilty before U.S. Chief District Judge Fernando J. Gaitan, Jr., this morning to a federal information that charges her with five counts of bank fraud. Harpster , formerly doing business as Northwest Missouri Title Co., LLC, in Gallatin, Mo., admitted that she defrauded Norbank by obtaining five loans totaling $866,810 between March 2006 and Dec. 26, 2006. For each of those loans, Harpster admitted, she falsely claimed to have contracts with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Salt Lake City, Utah, under which the LDS Church would purchase Daviess County, Mo., properties from her. I have handled from him, judged from him, used him to scout from and fired guns around him. He's a full bodied horse and he doesn't wear out on the trail. 25 miles a day this fall over a 3 week period. Bonze will cross anything logs, water, etc. He is road safe and is ridden around cars and farm machinery. He stands for grooming and mounting. He gets along well with other horses and he isn't barn or herd sour. Also been on 2-2 day cattle drives this year. Bonze is up to date on all vaccinations, worming and ferrier. He has excellent hooves. Bonze clips, leads, ties, bathes, shoes and trailers. Bonze does a head nodding four beat running walk and canter. Bonze has always had the best care, ferrier, equine dentist, worming and vaccinations.
