Biografía - Milli VanilliMilli Vanilli fue un dúo compuesto por Fab Morvan (14 de mayo de 1966) y Rob Pilatus (8 de junio de 1965 - 2 de abril de 1998) que se formó en Alemania a mediados de los 80.En uno de sus conciertos falló el playback de esta manera comenzaron las sospechas, que meses después llevó a su productor e inventor del grupo Frank Farian admitir que en realidad Fab y Rob no eran los que cantaban y reconocer el fraude. Morvan y Pilatus no cantaban. Por lo que surgió gran escándalo y que dio la vuelta al mundo. Este grupo ganó varios premios, entre otros un Grammy en 1990. Pero tras este escándalo, el grupo rescindió su millonario contrato, se les retiraron los premios y cayeron en el olvido. En 1991, el mismo productor quiso relanzar a los cantantes que realmente cantaban las canciones del grupo, con el nombre de The Real Milli Vanilli, pero el intento (plasmado en el disco Moment of Truth) cayó en el fracaso. I must admit when Milli Vanilli first came out I totally loved their music and boy was we all taken in by them, because it then came to light that they had been miming to all the songs and the real people behind this catchy music was a bunch of session singers.
But the idea was pure genius because of the success of the Fabrice Morvan and Rob Pilatus who were the two guys who we thought was Milli Vanilli, they managed to sell over 30 million single now that is an achievement.
Their success went further than that as the pair won a Grammy but after the truth came out they was stripped of their Grammy.
The story is so great that Universal Pictures are in talks to make it in to a movie, even thought we are all intrigued by Fabrice Morvan and Rob Pilatus who ended up the laughing stock of the pop world we are brought back down to earth that it had a dark side to it as the stress got to much for Rob Pilatus who took his own life with a diet of a drug and alcohol overdose
