For once, a Microsoft employee (most likely a soon-to-be-former employee at this point) has admitted something most of us have known for a long time: Microsoft OneCare shouldn’t have been released. According to a good number of recent posts, people are starting to get really mad because all of their email is being deleted by the OneCare product! According to reports, if OneCare detects an email with malware in the attachment, it quarantines the entire Outlook PST file! And on top of that, for a lot of people it has deleted their the file from quarantine also! Here's a link to the Microsoft Outlook Backup Utility which will help make sure the file is safely backed up!http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/HA010875321033.aspx

Details have appeared in Microsoft’s forums. A short brief by Virus Bulletin suggests that the problem was confirmed and [...]
