Michael Knight - Waves To The Shore
For our 6th release on the indiecater label we’ve plumped for a Dublin band who’ve filled our nights and days with glee ever since their debut ‘Youth Is Wasted On The Young’ dropped in 2005. Our love for their indie pop gems all began with this song ‘Waves To The Shore’, a classic of its kind that may remind you of the cutest Belle & Sebastian romp. It is dosed in melodies, ancient org

      Michael Knight and Mary J
When I was a kid I watched a lot of television. I was painfully shy and didn’t have a whole lot of friends so I had plenty of time to sit in my room and watch other people live their lives and didn’t do a lot of living of my own. I was big on the sitcoms of the 80’s. There was always some sort of issue being dealt with, many times there were tears but then there was laughter and at the end of the 30 minutes everyone was happy and I knew that it would all happen again the following week.In addition to this I also had/have a very active imagination. I had a complete life made up for myself inside my head that was based largely upon what I was watching on television at any given time. I feel like makes it sound like I didn’t like my family or disparages them in some way. So I just have to make it clear that I love my family very much and have no misgivings about my childhood at all. I think most kids have a very active fantasy life though. For a while Michael Knight used to park K.

      Michael Knight is a Peach!
Atlanta Peach magazine has a fabulous article about Michael! Here is a highlight: Which judge was your biggest champion? I still maintain that it was Season Two's winner, Chloe Dao. She was the only judge at the auditions down in Miami for this season who saw something in my work. Her vote was the deciding factor to my being a contestant on Project Runway. Tim Gunn wasn't impressed initially, but now he's come around! It also includes Michael's take on his fellow designers: Kayne: He was my homey. He was silly as hell and a speed demon on the sewing machine. We were always itching to go out and party and we were having withdrawals, but we were too tired to do anything but go back to the apartment and have a couple of beers. Laura: She was a trouper, a really tough lady. When everyone else would be passed out from fatigue, she would be keeping on. My first thought, after I was dismissed, was that she had a shot at winning because of the extraordinary detail she brou

This is the dress that Michael donated for the "Cure Autism Now" auction. The lovely model won the auction. I'll bet that dress will be gorgeous on her. Thanks to Wendi and Dorothy for these great photos.

      Michael Knight at C.A.N. Fundraiser
My mother and I attended the Michael Knight event in Atlanta (actually Norcross) GA last night. The event, which was a fundraiser for Cure Autism Now (C.A.N.) featured two other designers (unfortunately I don't have details about them), with Michael showing his collection last. He showed men's and women's clothing, new items and also some of the collection that appears on his website (clothing and swimsuits). The event was held at The Grape, a wine bar located in The Forum shops. Michael wore an appropriately grape-colored sweater (cute!!) with a hot-pink tie, jeans and a pink and purple belt. After the show, Michael auctioned off an original gown (also purple!), which he crafted for his PR Season 2 audition. The dress sold for $500. Michael was just as sweet and friendly in person as he seemed on the show, and even cuter in person! Wendi Montgomery, Alabama

      Michael Knight in Seattle
Julie L reports from Seattle. (I can't quite get accustomed to "Mychael" - I'll work on it!) Mychael Knight was my choice for fan favorite of Season 3. So when the opportunity to meet him in person at my old job (Starbucks Headquarters) presented itself - I knew I'd be asking my new boss for a long lunch in order to "Make it Happen”! A few hundred employees (ex-employees), friends and family members chatted and waited in the 9th floor commons until Mychael was introduced to the stage. Everyone was clapping and hollering for him as he shyly smiled that great brace-filled sweet smile I came to appreciate on Season 3. Wearing a baseball cap, Starbucks T-shirt, bright green sweater jacket and jeans, he described his new collaboration with Starbucks in custom designing T-shirts that customers can choose depending on their favorite drink. They showed a short video that explained the idea, showed footage of Mychael on PR and meeting with the creative team at Sbux. He said that
