Folks I’m MAD...what the HELL is this new Miami Dolphins organization doing? Why is my homie, Jason Taylor upset? What is Bill Parcells and the new head coach, Tony Sparano, doing to Jason Taylor? They must be saying or doing some rather brutal things for this loyal and All Star, Pro Bowl Defensive player to not want to participate with his beloved Miami Dolphin teammates. Jason Taylor is a true
We at the DC Sports Page thought it would be fun to run our own mock draft, rotating the picks among the bloggers. We'll be bringing that to you over the next few weeks. So without further ado here's the...
Yeah, that was him, that was ma man, Jason Taylor, strutting his stuff on “Dancing With The Stars”. What cha think? Did he delight you? Did he excite you? No New York Jet, no New England Patriot, no Buffalo Bill - not even a New York Giant could ever move like that...only a Miami Dolphin could have pulled that off. “Dancing With The Stars” will never be the same. Look at ma man in action, eat it up ladies:Yeahh...Yeahhh...that’s how we Miami Dolphins get down...all day, all night. Hello ladies. Me, Jason Taylor and the rest Miami Dolphins crew say: "We love ya".
The big game, “The Super Bowl”, is here and everybody is awaiting the best two teams of the NFL to engage in battle. But this will be no average championship contest, one of the teams has captured our attention. These New England Patriots have achieved something that no other team has - except one other team - their nemesis - The Miami Dolphins. The Miami Dolphins(1972)Now these Patriots are a special bunch, this can easily be seen by any football spectator even if their knowledge of the game is a little shaky. This team wins so seeming effortless that you wonder if their opponent is really trying to defeat them. That’s how good the New England Patriots are, they have excellent players in every position. Here’s where the train goes off the tracks for this team and glorious NFL franc
Fortunately, Miami LB Channing Crowder won’t need a translator for the trip. Said Crowder, “I know (Washington Redskins linebacker) London Fletcher. We did a football camp together. So I know him. That’s the closest thing I know to London.”read more | digg story

By Jennifer Jordan Being a Miami Dolphins fan comes with its fair share of heartache, with the team inconsistent these past few years. But, the same can be said about being a fan of any team (right, teams coached by Marty Schottenheimer?). Some years you win, some years you lose, and some years you relocate so you can root for a different organization.Nonetheless, being a Dolphins fan is still fun (and let’s face it, TD is kind of cute). The following is the Top Five Reasons to be a Miami Dolphins Fan, even when you can’t believe that you are.5. The Hope: The Miami Dolphins might not be a team you put all of your money on at the beginning of the year, but they constantly have something other teams lack: potential. This isn’t to say that some teams in the league are guaranteed to be victorious while others are sure to be horrible, but oftentimes this pattern does happen (sorry, Oakland). Miami, however, is never in either category: the Dolphins always have a chance at a successful
By Jennifer Jordan With the arrest of Miami wide receiver Chris Chambers this past weekend, some might start to wonder if the Dolphins have evolved into Bengals over the off season. Chambers, a 2005 pro bowler and star of, ahem, my fantasy team, was picked up in North Carolina for driving while impaired, reckless driving, and speeding on July 14th. With the arrest, Chambers is now the third Dolphin to be taken into custody this year. If eight more Dolphins find themselves behind bars, they will pass the Cincinnati Bengals and lead the league in most (jail) yards gained.Besides Chambers, Fred Evans, a defensive tackle with Miami, was arrested on June 23 for trespassing, resisting arrest with violence, disorderly conduct, and battery on a police officer. Joey Porter, the Steeler turned Dolphin, was arrested for a March conflict where he was accused of punching Levi Jones, an offensive lineman for the - go figure - Cincinnati Bengal. Porter was eventually charged with a misdemeanor. So, th
We're not too far off from the Sept. 6 kickoff of a brand new football season. As such, The Jaunt will be taking this opportunity to present team-by-team capsules which delve into rich (and not so rich) history, team culture (perceived and fo' real) and the future as viewed by The Jaunt editors and other contributors who have about the same expertise as any other media members pretending to know what will unfold during the upcoming season. We are also debuting The Jaunt Meeting Grounds which are forums for fans to stake claim to their territory and spark wars of words with thy enemy, or befriend other like-minded members. We encourage you to stop in and help us build up a no-holds-barred community of passionate fandom. Here is the 2007 preview of your...Miami DolphinsStadium: Since 1987 Dolphin Stadium -- and its trademark bright orange seats -- has undergone five name changes, has hosted four Super Bowls, and two World Series. The Dolphins kick off their pre-season tonight at home against the Jags and even though we won't see Joey Porter in action, we'll see the debut of John Beck and also 4 rookies from the draft class getting a start (Ted Ginn, Paul Soliai, Drew Mormino, Samson Satele).I'm not going to do this preview by position or by unit but instead I'm just going to highlight some things that I think will be a factor this season. It's Ronnie Brown's offense now. This will be Brown's third year in the league and in my opinion this is the year where he grows into a great back. Some people aren't convinced that Brown is going to be the top-tier back that Miami envisions him to be, but I think he will be and for a few reasons. In his rookie year, Brown played 15 games, split carries with Ricky Williams and racked up 907 rushing yards on a 4.4 ypc. average. He also caught 32 passes for 232 yards. In his second year he played 13 games due to injury yet he rushed for 1008 yards on a 4.2 ypc. average and h

And it looks pretty brutal to me. The Phins will play the teams from the NFC East and AFC North this year, meaning that there will be some tough games on tap.My concentration level is lower than that of a drunken whale right now, so I could be wrong but the schedule doesn't seem to do Miami any favors. Besides Oakland, Houston and Cleveland I don't see any games where I can say that Miami should win. Washington and Buffalo weren't that great last season but they aren't automatic wins either. The N.Y. Giants game in London should be the game to circle on your calendar but I really wonder how the players will deal with that jet lag. At Philly and at Pittsburgh on back-to-back weeks is also nothing to smile about. The Steelers game should be fun as it's Miami's only Monday Night game of the year and it will also mark Joey Porter returns to Pittsburgh and odds are that he will be ejected before he even gets off of the team bus.And if that isn't enough, the Phins finish the season aga
3rdQ 1:20 - Miami's defense forces another punt and they are firmly in control at the moment. Mike Furrey is furrey-ious on the sideline and that was officially the worst pun you will ever hear.3rdQ 2:15 - I'm wondering what's bigger, Keith Traylor or Comerica Park. I'm giving the edge to Comerica Park but just slightly.3rdQ 4:17 - Touchdown Miami. Harrington finds Marty Booker for his 2nd touchdown of the game and I'm really regretting the fact that I sat Booker this week. I'm still getting over the fact that I sat Lee Evans last week and now this. Braylon Edwards and Mark Clayton better set some records on Sunday or else I'm really going to be pissed.3rdQ 8:28 - Ronnie Brown has left the game with a hand injury and Joey Harrington can just throw the ball now until his arm falls off. Right as I type this, he hands it off to Sammie Morris just to illustrate how little I know.3rdQ 9:30 - Another sack on Jon Kitna. This time it's Vonnie Holliday and Zach Thomas bringing him down.
1stQ 6:23 - Jason Hanson kicks a 53 yard field-goal and it's now a 10-0 lead for the Lions.1stQ 9:26 - Miami's defense seems to refuse to cover Roy Williams. Really, it would be nice if someone would decide to actually cover him. Even Mike Williams got his first catch of the season ...1stQ 10:00 - Ronnie Brown got 3 yards on his first carry and has already exceeded his total of the previous week against Minnesota. Yes sir, I'm on top of my game today...1stQ 11:11 - Detroit marched down the field and scored as if they are playing a Pac-10 team. Dan Campbell catches the Td pass from Kitna and Jay hates him even more now. Detroit leads 7-0.1stQ 14:20 - Jon Kitna hooks up with Roy Williams for a 41 yard gain. Where was this last week against Arizona?12:28 pm - I wonder how the crowd will react today with Joey Harrington returning to Detroit. As I'm typing this sentence, it hits me again that Miami passed up Drew Brees and my mood is already heading into a steady downward spiral.12:23 p
4:42 pm. Jay just asked me how I'm going to explain the fact that there will be no live-blog to my fans. Shouldn't be a problem because I have as many fans as death and taxes. Not even my mother is interested in what I write here.4:29 pm. For some reason I'm getting the Pittsburgh-Kansas City game, eventhough we have the New York CBS here. My mood hasn't been this bad in a long time. So much for live-blogging.4:25 pm. Cincy just attempted a 62 yard field goal for the win and failed like me with women. Tampa wins and Jay is crying.4:19 pm. Tampa just took the lead on Cincy with less than a minute to go. Jay is assaulting someone as we speak and I'm wondering why the Dolphins game isn't on yet.3:58 pm. Jay notes that Tiki Barber has 185 yards so far and reminds me that Tiki's on my bench. These are the times that I want to push him into a bear trap.3: 50 pm. I'm having the best fantasy week ever so far, and the 1 o'clock games aren't even over yet.Matt Hasselbeck, Jon Kitn
If my schedule permits, I'll be Live Blogging tomorrow's game between my Miami Dolphins and the New York Jets. The fact that I'm going to live blog an almost certain loss just goes to show you how unstable I am.Previous live blogs have ended up in pathetic losses just like this and this, and tomorrow shouldn't be any different. Great times...
