Os traemos cuatro imágenes de la nueva entrega de una de las sagas más míticas en el mundo de los videojuegos, Metal Slug. En este caso es Metal Slug 7 y es exclusivo para NDS. La cantidad de horas y monedas que le eché al original en los recreativos y ahora podré jugar en  cualquier sitio con mi DS y solo por el precio de un juego :D.La fecha para Japón es día 17 de julio, en EEUU está previsto para este mismo año y esperemos que nos llegue a Europa. I've finally got my hands on the first screens of Metal Slug 7 from the Tokyo Game Show.The game has some issues through and through. Don't get me wrong, I think it's great that SNK Playmore is providing gamers a new Metal Slug handheld game, but when they made the decision to make it the next "numbered" Metal Slug in the series certain expectations need to be met by the title. Unfortunately, at this stage Metal Slug 7 simply doesn't meet those expectations.SNK Playmore seems to be borrowing scaled down art assets from previous Metal Slugs. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it is causing the game to have an awkward appearance. Furthermore, the backgrounds in the one stage that was playable were extremely generic. The game just seems to be missing some of that Metal Slug attitude that makes the series great. There is also a lot of issues with slowdown with the game, which is absolutely killer in a 2D action title. This is probably the biggest complaint and the one that

Hot on the heels of my little rant about SNK Playmore's apparent lack of interest in displaying any titles at the AM Show (for unknown reasons), an announcement is made that begins to give more creedence to my belief that SNK Playmore may be withdrawing some of its support for the arcade side of their company's business. According to the most recent Famitsu (and subsequently posted all over the internet), Metal Slug 7 is currently being developed for the Nintendo DS, and only the Nintendo DS. The action arcade game has always been part of SNK Playmore's bread and butter in the industry. This release on the DS is marking the first numbered game in the series that will not be developed for arcades first (and primarily). More information about the title is sure to come this weekend at the Tokyo Game Show, so I'll be sure to watch out for any more tidbits of details that come out of the event.

Late last year the director of SNK game titles, Soichiro Hosoya, said the company wanted to put classic NeoGeo titles on Microsoft and Sony’s online delivery services, but that they hadn’t heard back from Microsoft whether they’d accept. A Lexicon Entertainement divulgou imagens do seu mais novo jogo, chamado Metal Slu… ops… 07 Commando para DS. O jogo está sendo desenvolvido pela Mana Computer Software, e pelas imagens percebe-se que é um Metal Slug com outro nome jogo baseado em Metal Slug. O jogo ainda não tem data de lançamento prevista, mas só deve apareceer por aqui ano que vem. Veja as imagens:

I can't say that this is surprising, but the Gameboy Advance version of the original arcade Metal Slug (not to be confused with Metal Slug Advance which was released in 2004) has been officially canceled according to SNK Playmore USA. Despite the cancellation being heavily rumored by Famitsu in an article last October, there were no official announcements made by SNK Playmore Japan or SNK Playmore USA in regards to the future of the game. There were a lot of people who held out hope that perhaps it was just delayed, despite the abandoment of the Gameboy Advance in favor of the Nintendo DS for the majority of projects being released.The below note was left on the forums list on the SNK Playmore website.
