If there is a collection of books that I have grown to love it is the lovable Just a Little Critter books by Mercer Mayer. I never thought I would smile and laugh at the antics of an adorable little… umm, hedgehog? We have almost every book in the collection, mostly thanks to garage sale finds and the thrift shop’s book section.
The series is made for young children and covers almost every thing that a child could go through. Going to the dentist, camping with dad, new toys breaking, and a bully at school. Plus many, many more. And all of the books are told from Critter’s point of view, which makes them more realistic in a child’s sense. This is Kimbo's first fight in the cage, but it was an exibition, not a professional fight, so Saturday in EliteXC against Bo Cantrell is actually Kimbo's first MMA bout. The New Jersey State Athletic Commission only partially approved the fight, so they made it an exhibition and if it went to a decision it would've been a draw. Lord Black — also known as the Lord Black of Crossharbour — will appear in a 3 1/2 minute segment shot recently at his estate in Palm Beach, Fla. The disgraced media baron isn’t allowed to travel to Canada as he awaits sentencing on the convictions.
The 63-year-old former financier, who has resumed writing a column in the National Post newspaper that he founded, has launched an appeal of the convictions. His lawyer, Eddie Greenspan, is also trying to get a higher court to throw out the case.
“All I can say is that it will be Conrad Black in a way that you’ve never seen him before,” Mr. Mercer said Thursday. “It’s a substantial piece and I love it.”

So yesterday upon checking out of the Mercer Hotel, we spied Adam Levine of Maroon 5 eating some Mercer Kitchen grub in the hotel lobby.
He was pretty low-pro, just dining with two other dudes. There’s really nothing else we can say about that as we’re so not into stalking celebrities. Our “travel buddy” is though and he snapped this paparazzi shot for us. Like the sneaker angle?

The debate between MMA and boxing had a statement on the side of MMA this last weekend. This is a bit of old news but I just watched the video again and was amazed just how little of a chance Mercer had in this fight. Since then Mercer has said he is done with MMA. Maybe they should let boxers speak in this debate rather than the boxing “experts” flapping their yaps.
