Kid in the Meatloaf Go-Phone commercial
Whoa, you guys are busy little Googlers. The kid in the Meatloaf Go-Phone commercial isn't his son, he's an actor named Adam Cagley. From the "Why Does She Know This?" Department, Meatloaf has two daughters, one of whom is musician, Pearl Aday. Pearl used to tour with him and now she's married to a guy from Anthrax (Scott Ian?) has her own band, Mother Pearl.

      Battle Creek Meatloaf
This particular meatloaf recipe uses (gasp!) breakfeast cereals as a binding agent, hence the name.  I find that employing different types of binding agents is one way to liven up a meatloaf and give it a little something extra.Ingredients:

      Meatloaf Muffins
I accidently thawed a pound of ground beef instead of ground turkey. And since I have never had any luck with an actual meatloaf of ground beef I decided to make meatloaf muffins. The things are so addicting.Which is why I very rarely make them.I could eat them all myself. And I really don't need that temptation.:) The boys love these for dinner. You can even eat them cold.Just top with ketchup and serve. You could also add chopped broccoli, shredded carrot,cheese....the possibilities are endless.~Depending on what kind of ground beef you use,you may need to drain the muffins on a paper towel.Meatloaf Muffins1 lb extra lean ground beef1 box Stove Top stuffing mix1 cup water2 eggs ~Mix together and divide into 12 muffin cups that have been sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. All American Meatloaf with Crème Fraîche Mashed Potatoes
Each Friday and sometimes Saturday, InterWined.com pairs one great wine with one great meal and publishes the results along with the recipe in a little feature it likes to call ‘Blow the Bank’. This week, ‘Blow the Bank’ introduces InterWined's All American, a month-long celebration of some of American cuisine's greatest dishes from classic comfort foods to the unsung greats of American soulfood. First up is All American Meatloaf with Crème Fraîche Mashed Potatoes. Whether its origins rest, as some varyingly contend, with the mogul invaders of China, Italian meatball-makers, German Hamburgers, British shepherd’s pie-bakers, or the recipe books of eager home-meat-grinder salesmen, there can be little doubt that the humble meatloaf is 100% American and 100% classic. Just a

      Meatloaf…The Answer to A Parent’s Prayers
As every day passes it is becoming more and more obvious that I am completely unprepared for the teenage trials and tribulations that lay before us. My son recently sprouted two hollow legs, hoovering food and anything else not nailed down and all of his pants are starting to look like capris with inches of ankle [...]

      Boston Market Meatloaf
Boston Market MeatloafIn the early 90s Boston Chicken was on a roll. The home meal replacement chain's stock wassoaring and the lines were filled with hungrycustomers waiting to sink their teeth into aserving of the chain's delicious rotisserie chicken. So successful was the chain with chicken, that thecompany quickly decided it was time to introduce otherentrée selections, the first of which was a deliciousbarbecue sauce-covered ground sirloin meatloaf. But offering the other entrées presented the companywith a dilemma: what to do about the name. The bigwigsdecided it was time to change the name to Boston Market,to reflect a wider menu. That meant replacing signs onhundreds of units and retooling the marketing campaigns. That name change, plus rapid expansion of the chainand growth of other similar home-style meal conceptssent the company into a tailspin. By 1988, Boston Market'sgoose was cooked: the company filed for bankruptcy.Soon McDonald's stepped in to purchase the company

      Meatloaf Pulls Out
Meatloaf has cancelled his European tour after getting a cyst on his vocal cords. So, less like a Bat Out Of Hell, and more limping like a pensioner in a Post Office. He's denied he was quitting for good. Good, because there's not many like him left. All the other singers are all skinny people who look good, and he was good old fashioned sweaty man-singer, who probably had wind too. He had already pulled out of shows in Manchester and Birmingham. The star may need surgery but vowed to be back next year. He said: "It breaks my heart." No, that will be the cholesterol, but keep eating it... [[ This is a content summary only. National Meatloaf Day: Buffalo Meatloaf with Spinach and Roasted Baby Potatoes
Did you know that Thursday, October 18th, is National Meatloaf Day? (not to be confused with Meat Loaf.) I bet you didn't. (But if you're a food blogger, you probably did. You get credit.) I feel its my obligation to keep you informed. I totally forgot to mention that it was National Recess week a few weeks ago, and I also forgot to share that sweet potato greens fight cardiovascular disease in hamsters... I'm failing my public! But not this time!! (I would do any-thing for youuuuuuuu...)The folks at Serious Eats (created by Ed Levine) declared 10/18 Meatloaf Day, and frankly, I'm disappointed we don't get the day off from work!!To show my support, I present to you this lovely buffalo meatloaf with veggies from Bon Appetit magazine. The loaf was delightfully easy to make, was moist and delicious, and super healthy! Buffalo is generally better for you than beef (lower fat and calories), and with the addition of mushrooms to the mix, you can be happy to serve this to your family. Th

      Meatloaf And Blog Etiquette
I was leaving Steen, over at Side Order Of Ham, a comment, a really long comment, and then it went bye bye...never to reappear. AAARRRGGGHHH!!! It occurred to me that someone was trying to tell me something and that it might be sorta rude to pontificate in such large doses on someone else's blog.So here's the post I was writing about and here's my comment...in my own space:I agree about writing down recipes. I now write in my cookbooks when I make changes to a recipe (which is almost always), or if I think I should change it next time.Too bad about the phantom meatloaf. He was probably just making it up.The best meatloaf ever is The Italian Meatloaf from the second Silver Palate Cookbook. You make your meat mixture, pat it out into a rectangle and cover it with sun-dried tomatoes, fresh basil leaves and smoked mozzarella. THEN YOU ROLL IT UP and place it on a baking sheet or roasting pan and bake it. OMG. It is the truly awesome. And as you cut it, you get these gorgeous spirals of

An Easy Meatloaf Recipe For A Busy Cook
By Diane WatkinsThere are as many meatloaf recipes are there are cooks. This one is my favorite, an easy meatloaf recipe that can be varied to suit your tastes. Start with the basic recipe and add seasonings from the list below to suit your family. You can vary the meats used and the seasonings. To keep my meatloaf recipe easy, I use ground beef. Many cooks use a combination of ground beef, ground pork or ground veal. Some use sausage in their mixture. If you desire a mixture of meats, use 1/2 to 3/4 pound of pork, veal or sausage to 1 pound of beef. Using the seasoned Italian style bread crumbs seasons the meatloaf, making this recipe easy and quick to prepare. I don't actually even measure anything. I just dump the ingredients together using a reasonable amount of each. If the mixture is too moist, add more bread crumbs. If too dry, add more ketchup. It really is an easy meatloaf recipe that is foolproof.Basic Easy Meat Loaf Recipe1 1/2 pounds ground chuck3/4 cup Italian style bread

      Remarkably Good Meatloaf
I know sometimes people laugh or gag at the thought of meatloaf (or they think of the singer Meat Loaf whom some people like and other people detest), but meatloaf the dish can actually be a pretty decent meal.  The key is to have an incredible topping. Boston Market Meatloaf.
If you already have a recipe that claims to be a clone for this delicious meatloaf...you can nowtoss it out, purge if from your hard drive, burn all hard copies. No clone recipe that I've foundyet -- and there are several circulating -- has come even close to the tender, tasty meatloaf youcan get from this popular chain. Don't be fooled! To make a REAL clone, first thing you've gotto do is use ground sirloin, just as the restaurant chain does. And then you need to know how tomake the special sauce that goes into the meatloaf and on top (no it's not ketchup and it's not V-8). And there's no minced onion in there (just look at it!), or onion soup mix for that matter. So,search no more for the perfect clone of Boston Market's tasty meatloaf. You've now got theresult of days and days of vigorous testing. Even if you don't normally enjoy meatloaf, this oneyou'll be a cravin'.1 cup tomato sauce1 1/2 tablespoons Kraft original barbecue sauce1 tablespoon granulated sugar1 1/2 pounds
