It had to happen at some point and it looks like now is that time, Gerry McCann has returned to work for the first time since Madeleine McCann went missing.
Nearly six months since his daughter disappeared, the consultant cardiologist returned to work at Leicester’s Glenfield Hospital because he said that “the time was right”.
Gerry also went on to say “Unless Madeleine is found, we are not expecting any significant developments in the near future”.

I like a good joke like the next man, but when it comes to stupid jokes about missing child Madeline McCann it is a new level of despicable taste. The joke featured in a comedy sketch from the Bremner, Bird and Fortune’ show in which it showed Gordon Brown finding Madeleine on the eve of a general election and use it as a publicity tool.
This sick sketch has angered many viewers and as a result Sky News confirms that Ofcom has now received 55 complaints, many believe that Channel 4 has now reached a new low. However Channel 4 has said that the sketch was aimed at how far Politicians will go to, and that the sketch was not aimed at the McCann family in any way.

Danie Krugel claims to be able to locate a missing person anywhere in the world, using only a single strand of their hair. Put this into his mysterious "Matter Orientation System" (MOS) and, in less than 30 minutes, the man nicknamed "the locater" says he can give you their precise GPS co-ordinates.
Laugh you may, but on Sunday it was reported in an upmarket British newspaper that Krugel had helped police uncover "traces of Madeleine's whereabouts". Last July, he led her parents to a point on Praia da Luz beach where he claimed Madeleine's body "had either been temporarily buried or was still beneath the beach". The findings were taken so seriously by Portuguese detectives that they ordered two further searches of the beach.
If that's true, then the unprofessionalism of the Portuguese police is simply staggering. This is an unbelievable waste of time and resources.

The Daily Mail today screamed a few headlines about Drs Gerry and Kate McCann. A emotive comment cited " I refuse to believe the McCann's are guilty". I haven’t written much in way of an update in a while and mainly it is due to anxiety and depression issues rearing their ugly heads yet again. The main effect is that I am not sleeping through the night, even if I take a sleep aid. I wake up repeatedly all night long and when my alarm goes off (all too early) I am quite simply emotionally physically and spiritually weary. Additionally I am feeling overwhelmed and overworked and pulled in a few too many directions and am moody and irritable as a result.
Mr. Grumpy (aka The PopPop aka My Dad) has been …. well …. particularly grumpy lately. GamerDude has been in a lot of pain due to coming complely off his daily pain med regimin and as of last night has developed some kind of stomach virus just for shits and giggles. MissAngst is particularly Angsty. PrincessNibbles is just fine though …. at least SOMEBODY is happy.
Other than that I have been catching up on TV viewing as I am on break from college

Looking through the news stories at the bank holiday weekend, the biggest shock that i saw was the disappearance of little Madeleine McCann. A disappearance of anyone’s young child must be every parents worst nightmare, especially since i became an uncle for the first time over a week ago and cannot imagine my baby niece being harmed in anyway; at times like this when you see these terrible events being shown in the news, it makes you more and more protective over the love ones closest to you.
I cannot imagine how poor Madeleine’s parents must be feeling right now, but i really hope and wish that their daughter will be found safe and returned to them, i don’t think it is appropriate at the moment to keep questioning the circumstances of Madeleine’s disappearance like the press have been doing, but the main objective at the moment is for the police to find her as quickly as possible and return her to her parents.
