With huge waves hitting Northern California the Mavericks surf competition window is set to open this Friday. The contest runs for a period of three to four months. During that time surfers are on-call. When conditions are right competitors are given 24 hours to get to Half Moon Bay for the start of the competition. Mavericks Surf Ventures will offer live, free Web cast of each heat and the opportunity to watch the event for free on the jumbo screens at AT&T Park. For those who want to view the event in person expect large crowds and minimal parking. Two designated parking lots will be established — one on the tarmac at the Half Moon Bay Airport and one in the upper parking lot at Pillar Point Harbor. $75,000 in prize money is up for grabs for the top six surfers.

NBA betting fans expected the Mavs-Spurs game with a lot of excitement. These 2 NBA teams are considered as rivals, so it was time to measure and compare their power. Surprisingly, their attitude wasn’t that fierce and the results were probably unexpected to many. John McCain gets all the press as a "maverick," but how has he set his own course in the presidential primaries? His views are in lockstep with the prevailing Republican ethos. WARRIORS SURPRISE MAVERICKS IN GAME 4!The Golden State Warriors beat the Dallas Mavericks again 103-99. The Warriors came on late and stole this game from the Mavs. Dallas has to be more alert come crunch time so the Warriors can't pull ahead. Dallas will win game 5, but it will be really interesting in game 6.Mickael Pietrus came off the bench with 16 points and 5 boards. Pietrus was a huge x-factor in this game and his production is key as the series moves forward. Baron Davis led the way with 33 points and 8 boards. Davis has been great in the playoffs and they need him to pull off this upset.The Nets beat the Raptors again 102-81 to take a 3-1 series lead. This series is over now. The Raptors got a good experience in the playoffs but now it's time for the summer.The Suns beat the Lakers 113-100. This series is over also. The Suns will come out very setrong in game 5 to get a big lead.

The Mavericks are dominating the NBA’s regular season, 61-12 record with nine more games left. With their great defense and well-balanced starters, depth bench players, and the emergence of Dirk Nowitzki as their leader, I believe they will not win it all. Here are my three big reasons: 1. The quality of teams in the Western Conference. Utah Jazz or Houston Rockets in the second round? The Mavericks will be having a difficult series whichever is going to come out from these potent four and five teams. The Jazz and the Rockets are known for their defense. Dallas will win but it will take a lot from them going to the next round. 2. The San Antonio Spurs.
