Minnie DriverMinnie Driver shows off her baby bump as she goes shopping at the Cross Creek Shopping Center yesterday in Malibu, California. Minnie is presumably due any day now and can be shown with the form fitting black dress that she wore. We must say, she has always worn the worst maternity outfits we ever saw. She should be wearing light colored outfits that make her glow. Instead, she looks

You've just learned that you have a little one on the way. Your ecstasy at being pregnant, however, gives rise to "fashion fear" when you consider your wardrobe options. After all, maternity clothes have historically been plain and even unattractive. What's a stylish girl to do when she is in the family way?
Thankfully, the thought of maternity clothes does not have to leave you with a feeling of dread. A number of fashion-forward designers have gone into the mom-to-be wardrobe trade, giving maternity clothes a whole new look. In fact, 2007 promises to be a banner year for clothing options for prospective mothers.
Also, keep in mind that you will not need full-blown maternity clothes during the first few months of your pregnancy. Chances are you can use the tops and skirts you already have–although you may need to buy pants that have more ample room in the waist.
It's also important that you realize that there is no shame in having a pregnant silhouette.
Pregnancy is a happy time in your life. Unfortunately, it can also be a time of discomfort especially if you experience morning sickness, swollen ankles, and constipation. The cost of maternity clothes can also cause some discomfort, although more a financial discomfort than a physical one. But with a little creative though and sharp shopping skills, you can find and buy cheap maternity clothes that are also stylish.
Since women rarely wear out their maternity clothes, unless of course they have many children, it's safe to say that used maternity clothes will be gently worn. In some cases they'll be close to brand new. This means that thrift stores and consignment shops can offer great deals on cheap maternity clothes that are new enough to still look fashionable.
Sometimes you'll also be able to find cheap maternity clothes in newspaper classified ads, special newspapers for used products, and online classifieds.
Don't forget about children's consignment shops
Okay, a bit off topic here but it’s to support the collies.
I have never been pregnant myself, and I don’t plan on being so. However, I’m always looking for nice clothes and when I find a site that has some nice clothes for women, of any kind, I like to report about it. And if you are looking for maternity clothes (as some of our potential adopters might be!) then you might want to check these out.
I like the layout of their site, and they have some nice looking clothes! From tank tops to long sleeve. From short sleeves to dresses. I like the look, I wish they also carried clothes that were non-maternity.
Maternity clothes can be very expensive. Probably for the simple reason that most styles require quite a bit additional fabric to accommodate your rapidly growing belly. However, there are ways to get affordable maternity clothes without breaking the bank, so to speak, or looking unfashionable and frumpy.
So don't waste your time purchasing a lot of maternity clothes at top prices. Avoid those ultra-stylish, ultra-chic, and ultra-expensive maternity clothes boutiques and you'll have more money to spend on your new baby after he or she arrives.
Remember, you'll only be wearing your maternity clothes for a short period of time. Most women don't even need them until they've reached the fifth or sometimes even the sixth month of pregnancy!
There are places where you can buy affordable maternity clothes, but if you can get some for free, that's even better! If your husband is larger than you, raid his closet. You might be able to borrow his jeans and shirts to
My first set of maternity clothes was ugly. I didn’t know that there are so many options available. I bought those ‘conventional’ ones, which were bulky and made me look big even when I wasn’t that big. I spent so much money on those ugly maternity clothes, which could only be worn for that few months.
During my second pregnancy, I bought some ’sexy’ maternity clothes, mostly dresses with speghatti stripes or tube top. I discovered a cheaper alternative to covert jeans into maternity jeans (pic) that could save some money. But, they don’t look nice either. I contemplated for a while, didn’t go for it.
I didn’t buy those rubber maternity jeans too, coz they are just too ugly. I just didn’t wear jeans…, in fact I lost my mood to dress up!
If I had come across these new hip & cool b-buckles below, during my pregnancy, I would have been more excited and keen to dress up! Look, these b-buckles are so trendy and young.
Maternity clothes. Saying it is enough, admitting you need to wear them is a whole different story. I woke up on a Wednesday and the baby decided that today was the day he was going to put on an addition. I have no idea if it is ...
