Production house Studio 18, which signed oomph girl Mallika Sherawat for its film "Masquerade," has called off the project after differences of opinion with director Kundan Shah. According to a source in Studio 18, Mallika was signed on for Rs.9.5 million, a whopping sum for an actress of her standing. Some wild and some tame but this is the first one I've been a part of here in New York and it was one rockin shindig. Hell, it's actually my first October in New York so that might have something to do with it but this one sets the bar at a comfy stratospheric level. Anyway, I was asked to do a photoshoot of the soiree and despite the difficult lighting the photos turned out well (seriously, I have no bias whatsoever). By the end of the night I wouldnt have minded being on the other side of the camera but hey, someone's gotta do it right? Just as an FYI - some of the photos are a bit, ahem, risque especially further on in the set, so you might want to run thru them or the set link before sending them off to the parents and grandparents... For those of you from the party that are reading this, the copy-protection has been turned off on these so feel free to send/share/crop/gasp
