Masked man waited in line to rob bank!...
Associated Press - A man may have tipped his intentions when he stood in line at an Ohio bank wearing a ski mask before staging a holdup. Police in Stow near Akron say 24-year-old Feliks Goldshtein of Highland Heights was arrested minutes later on Thursday following a brief car chase. Police say the teller asked the man to take off the mask before being served. At that poin

Fat Nude German Actors Mock America in Verdi's Masked Ball
Austrian director Johann Kresnik's production of Verdi's Masked Ball is set to open in an east Germany opera house located in Erfurt.Kresnik claims his show, the stage set with the "ruins of the World Trade Center" to be a populist critique of "modern American society", aimed at showing the "disparities between the rich and the poor".Kresnik defends his choice of naked, obviously well fed actors, as "naked stands for people without any means, the victims of capitalism, the underclass, who don't have anything anymore".Kresnik also said that "one has to introduce new elements, otherwise it is difficult to attract new theatregoers".Read more Austrian Director's Creative Cowardice: Fat Naked Germans Mock America at DBKP.comDeath by 1000 Papercuts Front Page

      Utilidades JavaScript - Masked Textbox

Abstract Cubism in Progress - Masked off.
I’ve been getting into Picasso’s work a lot more lately, and decided that I need to make it my own and work with the cubic form just a little more. So, starting off this painting is a whole lot of masking tape. I have cuts on the inside of my hand where I was pulling the tape off the roll and it would spin. Part of this is that I wanted to mimic glass breaking out toward the viewer. This is more planning than I usually put into a work, but I seem to already see the finished product in my head. One final question: Can you mix acrylic and charcoal? Share This

      Scientific fraud masked as religion
An Op-Ed by Lawrence M. Krauss in this morning's Courier-Journal takes exception to the Creation Museum set to open in northern Kentucky.A dangerous cultural experiment is taking place in Petersburg, Ky., near the Ohio border. The experiment will shed light on the following question: How much money and glitz does it take to institutionalize a scientific lie?Great media fanfare is already beginning to surround the official opening next Monday of the $27 million Creation Museum, close to the Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky airport. Designed to oddly resemble natural history museums throughout the world, this will be a supernatural history museum, denying most, if not all, of natural history on this planet as centuries of careful study and experimentation have revealed it.The reason for this colossal unreason is quite simple: The historical record in Genesis, as it is interpreted by Ken Ham, who created the organization Answers in Genesis, must be literally true. Since this is incompatible

Warren Ellis "starts masked hero revolution". Yawn
So Warren Ellis is putting out his first creator-owned material with Avatar Press called "Black Summer". Sorry to say, but I have very little respect for this would-be writer whose standings towards the US are so negative, and when spotting this little line here about the premise, that's what tells me this may be quite dreadful indeed:Series protagonist John Horus was a retired member of the once government-endorsed team of superheros called the Seven Guns, but when the political situation in the USA becomes more than he can stand, he moves to take matters into his own hands. Since all his other team-mates aren't so eager to throw the world into chaos, an epic conflict starts to form. And no one will be safe as the bodies start to fall. And I'm sure this book will be more than I can stand either. I've got no interest in hearing Ellis drone on and on about how he doesn't like US government policy. And if even independent comics start becoming full of all this political nonsense, the

Anti-warrists at Toledo U. allow masked inciter to take part
The college Republicans at the university sent Michelle Malkin the following photo. Toledo in Ohio, as far as I know, has a lot of Arabs and most likely Muslims living there, and one can only wonder if the coward who held up a sign saying "death to America" was one himself. Regardless, these anti-war activists are clearly not people that anyone with common sense should let into their house.Others offended by this sick display include Robert Steely, The Jawa Report, Murdoc Online, Boker Tov Boulder.

The Masked Manhunter takes on al Qaeda
I hope this'll prove to be a positive step forward in the war on terror in the comics world. IGN's comics section (Hat tip: Michelle Malkin) reports that Frank Miller is going to write a story in which Batman boldly faces off against the al Qaeda:During his WonderCon panel, Frank Miller discussed his next graphic novel. Once again, Miller returns to the world of the Batman, this time with Holy Terror, Batman!. Though the title plays with Robin's classic catchphrase, the book deals with a serious subject. Gotham has been attacked by Al Qaeda and Batman sets out to defend the city he loves. The book, which Miller has inked through 120 pages, is expected to run roughly 200 pages total.Miller proudly announced the title of his next Batman book, which he will write, draw and ink. Holy Terror, Batman! is no joke. And Miller doesn't hold back on the true purpose of the book, calling it "a piece of prop[a]ganda," where 'Batman kicks al Qaeda's ass."The reason for this work, Miller said,

Until my company establishes a formal policy pertaining to the online habits of its employees, I won't mention my employer by name or refer to anything directly that might reveal who I work for here. Suffice it to say that I am employed by a regional healthcare company with at least one technical support office in southeastern Michigan. I am very dedicated to our mission of providing affordable, quality healthcare to our subscribers. I believe that information systems - when used effectively - can help people live happier, healthier lives. I enjoy tinkering with XML, Visual Basic, Microsoft ASP, and C#. I like impressionist painting and art deco. My favorite U.S. cities are San Deigo, CA and Seattle, WA (it's fair to say that you can count travelling as far away from Detroit as often as possible among my hobbies). When I read for fun, I enjoy horror and sci-fi. When I'm not parked in front of a computer (and I am routinely told at home that these times are too few and far between),
