Late-'70s Marvel Comics Rocks The Youth Dollar [Nostalgia]
A few years ago, writing a story about art-comics publishers Fantagraphics, I was intrigued to learn that Gary Groth, who runs the Seattle comics publishing house, had gotten his start in print by running a now-obscure rock mag titled Sounds Fine. Groth wasn't the only comics nut who would try his hand at running a music publication in the '70s; late in the decade, Marvel Comics launched a short-l

Marvel Comics Worst Covers Vol. 1
I love Marvel Comics, and I love their legacy. But I am not enjoying a lot of their recent covers. Why?Because there is an obvious flair for adding photoshop to all their covers and artwork. From gradient back drops, to proportions that just don't match, there is a plethora of reasons to hate the latest and what some think is the greatest from the Marvel Universe. The cast of Characters at Marvel's disposal is huge, so why is it that they push these covers and comics with such bad writing, horrible covers, and even worse interiors? I don't understand.Does Stan Lee see these? These are horrible! If you liked this post, or just bored, check out Amazon.com They actually have some good deals on comics, video games and more!

Marvel comics have made 2,500 of its back issues available online to subscribers and 250 issues available free of charge (for a limited time period). The subscription service will give users access to first issues of titles including The Amazing Spider-Man, The Fantastic Four and The Incredible Hulk. There will be a 6 month delay for new issues and users will only be able to view the comics online – downloading will not be possible. The comics will be available in various formats to view; including frame by frame navigation. If you are a Marvel fan this might be a good place to start if you need to catch up on past issues. I’m actually surprised it has taken so long for this to happen. It seems pretty logical to me to have the comics available online.Check out Marvel Comics Online

Marvel Comics fighting game announced for Xbox 360 and PS3 by EA
The Marvel comic book universe is no stranger to fighting games, having been featured for years in various Capcom 2D fighting games, including the ultra popular Marvel VS Capcom fighting series. Unfortunately for fans of the aforementioned fighting game, there isn’t a new one of those (yet), but EA did just announce that they will be bringing an “original” Marvel fighting game to Xbox 360 and PS3. You will remember EA’s last foray into Marvel fighting game territory with Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects, which hit the PS2, Xbox and GameCube back in 2005. That game was not so well received, so it will be interesting to see what they do this time around. As EA did not say whether or not this is a new installment of Marvel Nemesis or a completely new game, which may very well mean they will be changing it up significantly. I hope they do cause Marvel Nemesis could have been great if done right. The game is being developed by EA Chicago, who’s most rec
