Ron Paul has absolutely no chance in a million years of becoming the next President of the United States of America. None. I site, as my source for this wild claim, the fact that he has not won a single state primary. Add to this the fact that his popularity is more a media infatuation [...]
There’s something symbolic in where I spent my Taiwan election day. High up on the ShouShan mountain overlooking the sea and Kaohsiung city was the Martyrs’ Shrine :
From its imposing, majestic and scenic location at the southern foot of Shoushan, Kaohsiung City’s Martyrs’ Shrine overlooks Kaohsiung Harbor and the city districts in the distance. [...]
For the last few months I've been wondering what the green halogen lights leading up the mountainside were for. Alien landing site? Late night mining operations? There was nothing obvious from down below but one day I noticed a new street sign pointing up the hill. The white on brown colour scheme denoting something of cultural interest.A thin layer of crisp snow lay on the ground the morning I decided to make my way up. I followed the icy dirt path in unsuitable shoes. Paw tracks showed me that the local strays had been up and down before dawn. A long, white goods container had been deposited on a level area half way up. Green-painted frame borders with "Kahf al-Shohada" (Cave of the Martyrs), brushed on in vivid blood-red spoke of the grief-fuelled nationalism so fundamental to current p
By Michelle Malkin - The blood of innocent Christian missionaries spills on Afghan sands. The world watches and yawns. The United Nations offers nothing more than a formal expression of "concern." Where is the global uproar over the human rights abuses unfolding before our eyes? The Christian missionaries are peaceful believers in Christ on short-term medical and humanitarian missions. Seventeen of the 23 hostages are females. Most of them are nurses who provide social services and relief. Two men, 29-year-old Shim Sung-min and 42-year-old Pastor Bae Hyeong-gyu, have already been shot to death and dumped in the name of Allah. These are true practitioners of a religion of peace, not the hate-mongers with bombs and AK-47s strapped to their chests who slay instead of pray their way to martyrdom. An estimated 16,000 Korean mission workers risk their lives across the globe -- from Africa to the Middle East, China and North Korea. Interesting reads today from NRO from three very good writers. The overall impression put forward by the media has been that these latest attacks by terrorists are not really al Qaeda linked because the skillset of the "would bes" lacks a certain proficiency or professionalism; this of course is due to the fact the intended outcome failed. We wouldn't want to discount their abilities obviously by suggesting they cannot succeed again. Yet when they have not had a successful attack, in the U.S. especially the public and media tends to discount that as though there were no threat. When they fail, the failures are looked upon as lacking that 007 aspect, so of course these cannot be real terrorists, al Qaeda or not. While the main thrust of these articles, with the exception of Ledeen's may not be on the subject of "IQ" the reader does get the underlying sense that the terrorists/suicide bombers/martyrs aren't all that quick on the uptake.Michael Ledeen takes the question of "smarts" as
I first wrote about Hamas using Mickey Mouse to promote Jihad to children here. You will find a link to watch the video there. As disturbing as this is, the final episode of this season is even worse.
This season ended by having the Mickey Mouse character beaten to death by an Israeli official. The episode depicted the Israeli trying to purchase Micky Mouse’s land. Mickey then calls the Israeli a terrorist. Mickey was then martyred.
You can read the full story here.
This is so disturbing I am at a loss for words. To teach such hatred to children is incomprehensible to me.
Meanwhile in this country our children are being taught that it is okay for Bobby to have to mommies, and that global warming is the biggest threat to our country. The left believes that George W Bush is the world’s biggest terrorist. He is the true enemy of the left.
How are we supposed to deal with the terrorists when they are teaching their children to hate us at such an early age, while our children ar
There is news of homosexual infiltration into Catholic schools in Canada: http://www.lifesite.net/ldn/2007/mar/07032803.htmlAnd this shouldn't surprise us. On September 12, 1820, venerable Anne Catherine Emmerich related a vision:"I saw a strange church being built against every rule...No angels were supervising the building operations. In that church nothing came from high above...There was only division and chaos. It's probably a church of human creation, following the latest fashion, as well as the new heterodox church of Rome, which seems of the same kind....I saw again the strange big church that was being built there [in Rome]. There was nothing holy in it....Everything was being done according to human reason. I saw all sorts of people, things, doctrines, and opinions. There was something proud, presumptuous, and violent about it, and they seemed to be very successful. I did not see a single angel nor a single saint helping in the work. But far away in the background, I saw th
Remembering the martyrsToday, India will observe a two minute silence to remember all those who lost their lives in the recent Mumbai blasts. I can't recollect the last time the nation came together to do so for victims of terror. It's been a week and it still hurts. I thought I could put down my feelings in a day or two but could not. There was anger at those who committed this ruthless crime, sadness for the families who lost their loved ones, admiration for the people who came forth to help people at the blasts sites and the ones stranded on the road, pride for the railways people who got back the services on track within 7 hours, and applause for the city to get back on its feet the next day.I kept thinking if there is any way to prevent these acts of terror? But even with the highest security force in place I don't think we can! We simply can't. The '93 blasts, then the Ghatkopar and Gateway of India in between and these serial blasts last week. Everytime we were hit we
