I have stated a few times in this blog how much of a genius I think Bill Maher is. I stand by these statements, however I don't agree with him some things. Now that that is cleared up! I found a few amazing quotes by Maher on wikipedia, so amazing in fact, I must share them with you! Here are a few I think you will enjoy:If you think Democrats are going to take away your Bible, you're an idiot. If you think they are going to take away your gun, you're an armed idiot. If you think they're going to take away your gun and give it to a Mexican to kill your God, you're Bill O'Reilly. It's been over a year since they graduated, but neither of the Bush twins has been able to find work. Why don't they sign up [for the army]? Do they hate America or just freedom in general?(May 2005)If you can look

Maher has to apologize to Catholics, but will he apologize to all Christians?Bill Keller, LivePrayer.comI am actually amazed that his bosses at HBO have forced Christian-hater Bill Maher to apolgize for calling Pope Benedict XVI a "Nazi" and "the leader of a pedophile cult," and making other disparaging remarks about Catholics on his weekly HBO program. While I am glad to see Maher forced to apolgize for his remarks about the Pope, I have no expectation that he will be apologizing to all Christians for decades of hate filled rhetoric targeting God's Word, our Lord, and those who have put their faith in Him.Friday night on his HBO program, Maher issued his "apology." What a joke. In true Maher fashion, it was simply another opportunity for him to state his hatred for the Christian faith i

On the April 11th episode of Real Time, Bill Maher gave politicians a week off while targeting the Catholic Church. Appropriate, of course, with the Pope about to visit the U.S. Of course, he didn't leave Warren Jeffs totally unscathed. And of course, it's true that the U.S. is basically bailing out Bear Stearns and Wall Street while Main Street has to go it alone. Here's what he had to say in the final mini-segment of New Rules this week: Whenever you combine a secretive compound, religion and weirdos in pioneer outfits, there’s going to be some child-f*cking going on. In fact, whenever a cult leader sets himself up as "God’s infallible wing man" here on earth, lock away the kids. Which is why I’d like to tip off law enforcement to an

The year is coming to an end which means every ass clown and their brother is coming up with a list of shit from the year. For instance I sat through 35 minutes of VH1’s top 40 videos of the year today. Not my idea but you have to know how to pick your battles when it comes to the lady friend. I actually like Bill Maher and he has come up with a list of his 13 dickheads of 2007.

Is it a coincidence that twenty-five percent is also the number of people who, in an AP poll of predictions for 2007, said they expect Jesus Christ to return this year!? I don’t think it is.

Salon gives space to Bill Maher to flesh out things that go bump in the night, as he twists up a little something to help take the edge off the fear.Bill Maher scares his reader at Salon:What's really scary this Halloween is that the same group of idea-free losers who won the last presidential election could win the next one by making us afraid of the wrong things. Which is why this year for Halloween, I'm going as something truly horrifying: a melting polar ice cap. This week -- as every week -- all the Republican candidates talked about was who was toughest in the war on terror. While the country's most populous state literally burned. The Democrats, as usual, said nothing, because they didn't want to offend fire. The Republicans, including the scaremonger in chief, sell themselves as protectors of our safety. But since they're all, except for McCain, armchair warriors, they're only comfortable protecting us from fears they made up. Like the way Iran is itching for a war with th

I think everyone should see the interview Garry Kasparov recently gave on "Real Time with Bill Maher." Kasparov, the former world chess champion, is running in the presidential election in Russia, but in doing so he puts his life in jeopardy. Bill Maher says Putin's approval rating is pretty high, and Kasparov responds, "How do you know? I mean, are you seriously, are you relying on the polling results of a police state? I think that with the same tight control of media and a pervasive security force, I believe Bush and Cheney could enjoy the same approval rating here."What if that's why Bush's rating is still around 24%? Maybe there's a weaker version of the system in Russia already in place in the U.S.Kasparov also disproves the idea that Russia is "meant" to be under one man's control, saying that Democracy would most likely work, given a chance. He later remarks that the U.S. is using Democracy as a "geopolitical tool" to get what it wants, at the dismay of its internatio
In September I posted the video of Bill Maher’s new rule which was on 9/11 conspiracy theorists:
New Rule: Crazy people who still think the government brought down the Twin Towers in a controlled explosion have to stop pretending that I’m the one that’s being naïve. How big a lunatic do you have to be to watch two giant airliners packed with jet fuel slam into buildings on live TV igniting a massive inferno that burned for two hours and then think, “Well, if you believe that was the cause?” Stop asking me to raise this ridiculous topic on this show and start asking your doctor if Paxil is right for you.
Firday’s show had some 9/11 conspiracy theorists heckling Maher from the audience, as seen in the video above.
Maher shows less sense in choosing political candidates than he does in disbelieving the 9/11 conspiracy theorists. His interview with John (I’ll say anything to get elected) Edwards was consistent with other impressions Maher has given that Edwards
On Real Time with Bill Maher several 911 Truthers start to disrupt Bill Maher’s, and others, conversation. In response Bill asks for security to kick these people out of the building. He even gets out of his chair and helps security kick some of them out. Here is the video:
A protester interrupted Bill Maher during “Real Time with Bill Maher”, it was all caught on live television on the east coast before being edited for the west coast.
The host tried to shout down the audience member, who only became more agitated.
“Do we have some (expletive) security in this building,” Maher yelled, “or do I have to come down there and kick his (expletive)?”
When security reached the man’s aisle and the man resisted leaving, Maher ran into the seats and helped them push him out the door, shouting “Out! Out! Out!”
Several other protesters, sprinkled throughout the audience, then stood up and shouted.
“This isn’t the Iowa Caucus, OK, we’re not here to debate,” Maher shouted with most of his audience cheering him on. “This is the problem with live television.”
You would probably guess, as I did, that the protester was a supporter of the president, and that is what pissed off Bi
Right Now On Bill Maher, a bunch of 9/11 Truthers raided his show. While I was watching Bill Maher tonight, I was actually quite bored. Not much took place other than Chris Mathews' annoying, "HA." "HA....................HA." If you have ever heard Chris Mathews, you know what I am talking about. Then, all of the sudden, a bunch of crazy 9/11 Truthers started shouting at Bill Maher during his show. This resulted from Bill Maher's attack on 9/11 truthers a few weeks ago. These lunatic liberals are totally insane.Bill actually ran into the audience to start a fight with the hecklers. He even encouraged the security guards to be rough with the people. In the most recent episode of Real Time with Bill Maher on HBO, Bill Maher said something amazing: He does not understand economics and never did. He never understood it in college, and did not do well in that class either. Ladies and gentlemen, this explains everything.I am now completely convinced that this Country is divided into two groups of people, those who understand economics, and those who do not. Those people who understand economics call themselves Conservatives/ Libertarians, and those who do not understand economics call themselves liberals/ socialists. It is really that simple.I used to think that liberals understood economics, but still imposed awful policies so long as those policies kept them in power. How else can anyone explain why liberals always want to tax “the rich” in an effort to make the lives better for the poor? Why else would liberals advocate increases in regulations to help small businesses and labor? Why else would liberals and socialists be
Bill Maher sounded surprisingly kind to the Republican platform today on Real Time. He staunchly supported Israel and said he really did not care about wiretapping. He said he has no expectation of privacy anywhere he goes. He called Mahmoud Ahmadinejad a terrorist, and a sponsor of terror. Then Bill Attacked Sally Fields when she said there would be no wars if mothers ruled the world. But, then again, Bill Maher always seems to seem Right-wing when there are no conservative guests on his show.Tonight, Bill’s panelists included: Janeane Garofalo, Salman Rushdie and Rob Thomas. I am sorry, but if this continues to happen, I may have to stop being an anonymous blogger and school those people in a debate. At least he could have found someone who could make a rational argument.Take Janeane Garofalo for example. The woman clearly is on medication. No sane individual could believe all the things she does, and then think that they are the rational voice of America. Janeane Garofal

Bill Maher, talked with Wolf Blitzer, in the Situation Room about the war in Iraq, President Bush and Gen Petraeus, the reasons the Democrats have failed to bring a stop to Iraq, Sen Larry Craig skit on his show, Real Time and a host of other topics.Bill brought the truth out about the Democrats not being able to stop this war, simply because they just do not have enough votes to do so. He suggests that we go back to the voting booths and elect more Democrats to office to make changes with their votes.Bill Maher discussed the MoveOn ad, and how the Republicans brought up Hillary Clinton, in the middle of the situation to keep all concentration away from President Bush and General Petraeus. The surge and the report by General Petraeus was nothing more than a Bush doctrine. Most, if not all Democrats already knew what his report would be about and as always, the President and his hand pick people, did not let us down.President Bush and General Petraeus lied to America, when
Thanks to other bloggers, I was able to catch your segment on breastfeeding. Sad to say, I don't think we'll be having lunch out together anytime soon. Not that you and I would ever agree on a restaurant, anyway, since the only way you can tolerate breasts and eating in unison is at Hooters.I understand you don't have kids, and therefore, don't understand the importance of breastfeeding. You probably don't like eating near kids who are loud at the table, either. However, these kids are your future. They will be paying your social security, they will be serving as your nurses as they feed you your Ensure through a straw. So you might want to take some interest in their upbringing. You, as a celebrity, are in a unique position for people to hear your message. I can rant and rave on my little blog here as much as I like, but I'm probably only reaching 200-300 people at most. You can reach millions. Yet you squandered your chance to educate and inform by choosing to belittle breastfee
Bill Maher likened breastfeeding in public to masturbating in public.
Then Sara at Suburban Oblivion ate his head. But not before she kicked him in the balls.
This was supposed to be a simple post to redirect you to Sara's post of Bill Maher- Applebee's Nurse-in and Lactivism Are a Waste of Time, Breastfeed in Private.
I wanted to add a funny picture of a giant woman eating a cowering man. Somewhere along the line in my Google searches, I became a lot more interested in the story, though.
As I mentioned in Sara's comments, if someone as intelligent as Bill Maher could display such verbal diarrhea of ignorance, imagine what the Lowest Common Denominator out there must think of breastfeeding in public. I'm at a loss for words.
But I'll get over that.
I couldn't put this (I'll be gracious here) lapse in judgment on Bill Maher's part into words better than Sara, so I'll stick to my original plan of redirecting you to her brilliant post.&
I wasn't able to write a full review tonight of Real Time with Bill Maher as I usually do. Instead I wrote about John Stossel and his Special on American healthcare.Nevertheless, I did catch the last New Rule tonight and it was certainly worth it. Bill Maher amazingly attacked the 9/11 Truthers. He called them "lunatics" and told them to stop telling him to talk about them on his show. The New Rule was as follows:New Rule: Crazy people who still think the government brought down the Twin Towers in a controlled explosion have to stop pretending that I'm the one that's being naïve. Bill Maher appears with the host of Hardball, Chris Matthews and talks about Larry Craig and layovers in airports. The interview gets really hilarious when Chris shows what Bill Maher had on his show lasts Friday, about Larry Craig and Chris Matthews during former President Clinton term in office. Chris and Bill go from Craig to President Bush and the surge. The secret visit of Bush's trip to Iraq is also discussed. Bill has a funny way of telling the truth about Bush, the way most Democrats see him. The author of "Dead Certain", Robert Draper is discussed and Bill is asked about the money Bush thinks about making when his term is up as President. Chris Matthews, changes the subject and ask Maher about whom he could not stand to be the next President and Bill gives Chris a negative view of both Fred Thompson and Rudy Giuliani.
In case you missed it, here is Mike Huckabee's appearance from Friday night on HBO (courtesy of a Youtube search):It was a short interview but a very important one that the GOP voters need to pay attention to. Listen to the applause and praise he gets from an audience that is not the conservative base in any sense of the word. Look at Mike's cross-party appeal. This is someone that will not only unite the party, but unite the nation. If nominated for President with a message that crosses party lines, how could Mike lose?

I have not missed a Bill Maher show since the year 2000, so of course I had to watch the newest episode of Real Time on HBO. Being a libertarian, I rarely agree with what Maher says, but as I have said before, he is funny and I enjoy being entertained. Surprisingly, the debate on his most recent show was filled with intellectual honesty never before seen in Liberal Land. The reason why I am so surprised by the most recent show is because a typical episode of Real Time often involves a “debate” between Maher, two Far-Left actors, one inarticulate RINO, and Maher’s heckling socialist audience. I often cannot contain myself from yelling at the television at the token conservative who muddles words worse than stuttering Bob.Before this recent episode, Frank Luntz was the only Conservative who lived up to my expectations. Several months ago, Luntz was his eloquent self, and silenced the audience when he added facts to dispute their emotion-based arguments. He was the best guest I
Why does it have to be a comedian to make this point? Bill Maher states the obvious in George Bush’s Jihad Recruitment Drive, from Huffington Post.
For some reason, I recall a contest in New York magazine 31 years ago asking for Predictable Headlines of 1976, and the one that made me laugh was “Ghetto Residents Apathetic about Bicentennial”. I thought of this recently when I saw a headline “Doctor Accused in Glasgow Attack Described as Loner Angry about Iraq War.” Isn’t it pathetic that what strikes us as utterly predictable still eludes President Daydream Believer?
A common right-wing talking point is that we weren’t in Iraq on 9/11 and they still attacked us. Yes, but this “war” is a numbers game: before we invaded Iraq, how many young Muslim men were ready to join up for a suicide mission against the west? Some, but my guess is, not very many. But now? My guess is very many. The exact opposite of what the president says is true:

Once again, Elizabeth Edwards is in the spotlight. This time she wasn’t sharing info about her medical problems. She was confronting Ann Coulter.
Edwards phoned into MSNBC’s “Hardball” Tuesday. She asked Coulter to stop using insulting language and Coulter responded Edwards shouldn’t tell her to stop speaking. That retort is the essence of Coulter.
It’s also the essence of others on the far end of their party preferences. Bill Maher is a classic example. Remember the show where he goes on and on about the vice-president? Catch the second video posted below.
These pundits often use hyperbole for the purpose of publicity. A pundit without publicity is like a pickle without brine. These people are in the entertainment business, and the last time I looked, the political entertainment business was alive and well. That is, unless you’re a certain liberal radio show.

This is from over at Copious Dissent and it nails something I have seen and find rather annoying. Many people claim to be Libertarians that are in truth Democrats or Republicans that just prefer not to be associated directly with either party. Bill Maher is not a Libertarian. As is said in the article his fix for every problem is a government program. That is most definitely NOT a Libertarian view. Real Libertarians would be aghast at that. Thats a Democrat speaking no matter what he claims to be. As is also said in the article below the primary philosophy of Libertarianism can be summed up in 2 words: "Limited Government" and needless to say that is not Bill Maher. He just wants to smoke dope and not have the government telling HIM what to do while he tells US what to do. ~RJH Copious Dissent article link Note to Bill Maher: Being The Bachelor and Smoking Marijuana Does Not Make You a LibertarianI went to see Bill Maher recently perform standup; Maher is funny sometimes,
I went to see Bill Maher recently perform standup; Maher is funny sometimes, even if I disagree with many of the things he says. I have watched him for years and he is very entertaining. Nevertheless, it is still strange to hear him constantly call himself a libertarian. Every societal problem that Maher satirizes, his solution is always that the Government should solve it. Yet, he still manages to convince himself that he is a libertarian. I assume he believes he is a libertarian because he likes smoking marijuana, and everyday for him is like starring on The Bachelor. I accept the fact that these are common stereotypes of libertarianism, but those qualities are neither sufficient nor required to be a libertarian. Libertarian philosophy can actually be summed up in two words: “limited government.” Whereas Bill Maher may believe that the government oversteps its bounds on social issues, he is perfectly happy with expanding governmental roles in all things economically r

If ever there was a candidate eminently qualified to lead a “commonsense” party, that person would be Congressman, and Presidential hopeful, Ron Paul. Last night Paul appeared on the Bill Maher show, traditionally a bastion of modern liberalism. This was Ron Paul’s second appearance on the show in the past couple of months.
Maher obviously recognized something he liked that prompted him to have Paul on for a second visit. Even though Ron Paul is a registered Republican, his positions appeal to voters of all parties. He doesn’t follow the drumbeat of the traditional party line or play the traditional game of politics. Ron Paul bases his positions on the values and principles of economics, constitutionality and responsibility. These values are not for sale to the highest bidder, but applied equally and fairly to all situations.
Maher mentioned that he has never seen a Republican

Bill Maher was pretty tough on Republican presidential front-runners Rudy Giuliani and Mitt Romney on Friday. First up, Giuliani:
I know Ann Coulter said that Democrats like John Edwards are “fags,” you know, because they speak in complete sentences, but um… We grabbed a few pictures of Rudy Giuliani over the years.
[Maher holds up photos [...]
It looks like Ann Coulter is trying to backtrack a little bit on her "faggot" comment. Her explanation that "faggot" actually meant "wuss" reminds me of John Kerry trying to explain his remark calling the troops dumb was actually meant as a joke about President Bush. I think that Ann is paying the price for her words, in full. At least shes not (that I have seen anyway) blaming it all on the "left wing smear machine" ala Amanda Marcotte. It's interesting that just yesterday I got an invitation to a gay friend of mines wedding to his partner of many years. We have been friends a relatively short time, maybe a year or so. We both worked as staffers for a while at a political discussion forum called Neutral Underground. He is a very decent guy and his partner, although I haven't met him myself, is also a really nice guy. We have numerous mutual friends. I haven't had a chance to get my friends input on the whole Coulter affair but I think it w
In 2002, ABC made the decision to not renew Bill Maher’s contract after he made some disgraceful comments on his program “Politically Incorrect” concerning America’s military response to 9/11. After what transpired on ”Real Time” Friday, the heads of HBO should be equally outraged, if not more.
As the discussion moved to the attempted assassination of Vice President Cheney last week, Maher asked his panel why it was necessary for the Huffington Post to remove comments by readers concerning their disappointment that the attempt failed. As the conversation ensued, Maher said one of the most disgraceful and irresponsible things uttered on a major television program since Bush was elected.

Another Democrat speaks his mind honestly and people are again shocked. I dont see why though. Anyone that is paying attention knows that the left says this exact sort of thing on a regular basis. Wishing death on the vice president or even the president is a staple of online liberal blogs and forums. Their hypocrisy is so blatant in that the same people having fits over Ann Coulter using the word "faggot' won't condemn fellow Democrats when they say something like this, which is obviously much worse. I suspect that a large percentage of Democrats dont think this way but you wouldnt know that if all you had to go by was what is routinely said at the places they congregate online. What makes it worse is that the mainstream Democrats seldom denounce this sort of vile behavior on the part of their fringe element (I think I'm being generous by assuming it's their fringe element). ~RJH Newsbusters article link Bill Maher Sorry the Assassination Attempt on Dick Cheney Failed
But Rep. Pelosi’s new rules;
No House member may accept any gift of any value from lobbyists, or any firm or association that hires lobbyists.
No free travel, which means an end to the corporate jet line every Friday at Reagan National Airport.
No free tickets to Redskins games; or no meals of any value, even at a McDonalds; no front-row seats at entertainment venues. No, no and no.
Suck it Repubs!!!!! Your days of wining and dining at our expense are over!

I Remember When I Lost My Mind… for PowersandMorrison.com Thursday, September 21, 2006.
The Great Blue State of California is pursuing a great lawsuit. They have filed a lawsuit against Ford, GM, Toyota, and three other carmakers. The lawsuit says that these car companies have cost the state millions of dollars with their gas emissions from the vehicles they make.

The Reason is because Global Warming is a real and major problem facing not only California, but the world. These carmakers and gas companies are letting their paychecks get in the way of saving the planet. They think only of the present and not the future. That kind of thinking will soon shorten the present.
The lawsuit charges that vehicle emissions have contributed significantly to global warming and harmed the resources, infrastructure and environmental health of the most populous state in the United States. Source:Reuters(news.yahoo.com)
