Was the Taj Mahal a Vedic Temple?
The following is an interesting topic or rather controversy raised following the research done by Prof.P. N. Oak which provided evidences that Taj was a Hindu temple.V shall here post the contents of an e-mail explaining the same..."The Moghul Emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal built the Taj Mahal. It was built in 22 years (1631 to 1653) by 20,000 artisans brought to India from all over the world! . Many people believe Ustad Isa of Iran designed it." This is what your guide probably told you if you ever visited the Taj Mahal" but what about the following....No one has ever challenged it except Prof. P. N. Oak, who believes the whole world has been duped. In his book Taj Mahal: The True Story, Oak says the Taj Mahal is not Queen Mumtaz's tomb but an ancient Hindu temp

Taj Mahal – The Temple of Love
Taj Mahal is a proof of what can be created because of love. The world’s most famous mausoleum, whose construction lasted over two decades, represents the eternal token of one’s husband love for his wife. The monument, situated in Agra, a city on the banks of the Yamuna River in Uttar Pradesh, India, was built at the request of the fifth mogul emperor, Shah Jahan, in the memory of his second

US Dollar no longer welcome at Taj Mahal
America's pride, the dollar, that was all-powerful till recently is losing its sheen. In yet another troubling sign for the greenback, at least one of the seven wonders of the world is now off limits if you have only U.S. currency in your pocket. India's tourism minister said Thursday that the dollar will no longer be accepted at the Taj Mahal and other national tourist sites. Until the change, foreign tourists visiting the Taj Mahal in Agra, south-west of Delhi, could enter by paying a fixed $5 (£2.45) fee – a price that was set when the dollar was worth around R50. But with the dollar having fallen by 12 per cent this year against the rupee and the current exchange rate closer to R39 to the dollar, the government has now fixed the entry price for foreigners at R250 – more than $6.

Here's the "official" story as written on Wikipedia about the Taj Mahal:"The Taj Mahal is a mausoleum located in Agra, India, that was built under Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal."However, an alternate theory speculates that this story is just that--a story! The alternative version goes like this:"This story has been challenged by Professor P.N. Oak, author of Taj Mahal: The True Story, who believes that the whole world has been duped. He claims that the Taj Mahal is not Queen Mumtaz Mahal's tomb, but an ancient Hindu temple palace of Lord Shiva (then known as Tejo Mahalaya), worshipped by the Rajputs of Agra city.In the course of his research, Oak discovered that the Shiva temple palace had been usurped by Shah Jahan from then Maharaja of Jaipur, Ja

      Konvensi Mahal & Global Warming

New, unofficial version of `UP Naming Mahal’
A former student sent me an mp3 file of a rendition of UP Naming Mahal, the university hymn of the University of the Philippines (UP), by progressive artists Noel Cabangon (formerly of Buklod), Cooky Chua (former lead singer of Color It Read), Chikoy Pura (lead singer of The Jerks), Gary Granada and Bayang Barrios (formerly of Joey Ayala at Ang Bagong Lumad). The new version, apparently unofficial, has new lyrics, making the hymn even more socially relevant. For those who don’t know the history of the UP hymn, the melody was composed by Nicanor Abelardo based on a poem in English by Teogenes Veles titled “U.P. Beloved.” The latter was translated into Filipino by Hilario Rubion and Tomas Aguirre. You can download the mp3 file of the new version of UP Naming Mahal from Mukamo Philippines. Mahal kita!
Daughter #1 has always thought “it sucks” that I speak several languages, and I never taught her to speak any other than English. Lately, she’s been trying to learn Spanish by choosing it as an elective in school. She seems to be doing well. Today I checked my cell and found a text message from my daughter; Nothing extraordinary as we text each other frequently, but this one just made my day. It simply said “Mahal kita!”, Which means “I love you!” in Tagalog (one of the languages I speak). I just sat back at my desk and smiled as a feeling of warmth came over me. There is nothing quite like an unsolicited, unrehearsed, spontaneous gesture of love from your child. I just thought I’d share that with the world. “Mahal din kita, unang Anak!”( I love you too, daughter#1!)

Second Powder Blush Installment: NARS Taj Mahal, Scary in the Pan, Perfect on the Cheek
I have a thing for pigmented blushes because they suit such a wide variety of skintones, last forever, and really show up on my skintone. There are two NARS gems that I think feel make me glow and they are Exhibit A and Taj Mahal. This is a review of the latter.Taj Mahal is a bright burnt pumpkin shade with gold shimmer. And with that description alone I'm sure you're ready to write me off as the sister of the with in Hansel and Gretel who regularly bullies little kids into giving her their candy (the last part might actually be true, but I'm not sure I was to own up to it yet). However, let me assure you that this blush just needs to be applied sheerly and it gives the most amazing warm glow on my deep olive skin. The shimmer in this blush is not overwhelming and when worn, it's very subtle. The blush itself glides on flawlessly and a little goes a very, very, very long way. It also lasts through an entire day without budging so that is always a plus. The trick with this blush is t

Internet mahal dan perlahan. Di mana silapnya?
Sebagai pengguna Streamyx, kita mungkin menyedari bahawa kita membayar terlalu banyak untuk kelajuan sekadar 1mbps. Bayaran RM88 sememangnya sangat tinggi berbanding negara lain.

Énekel, bendzsón, bőgőn, gitáron, harmonikán és zongorán játszik, s zenéje igen sok forásból táplálkozik: a blues, a cajun, a reggae, a gospel, a bluegrass mellett felismerhetőek benne a Hawaii, karibi és afrikai hatások is.1968-ban megjelent The Natch'l Blues című lemezén a következők muzsikálnak: Taj Mahal - banjo, guitar, harmonica, guitar (steel), harp, vocals; Chuck Blackwell - drums; Jesse Ed Davis - bass, guitar, piano; Gary Gilm

Vot for the Taj Mahal into the new seven 7 wonders -Agra, India anthem by A R Rahman
Once upon a time, in a mystical land called India, a mughal emperor called Shah Jahan lived with his beloved beautiful wife Mumtaz Mahal. Shahbuddin Mohammed Shah Jahan (also spelled Shah Jehan, Shahjehan. Persian: شاه ‌جهان), January 5, 1592 – January 22, 1666) was the ruler of the Mughal Empire in the Indian Subcontinent from 1628 until 1658. The name Shah Jahan comes from Persian meaning “King of the World.” He was the fifth Mughal ruler after Babur, Humayun, Akbar, and Jahangir. The Mugal King did not marry his queen just for her beauty. She was intelligent and clever too. A smart choice by the king who had other wives too, most of them who were just “dumb gals”. There was no insurance that their wedding would last - after all, he was Emperor of India. For kings like these marriages were just another entertainment. No favours could be expected just by the wedding ring on her finger. But the bond was strong - the love and passion was stronger than what we see in t

Agra, April 21 (IANS) The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has created a park between the main Taj Mahal structure and the Yamuna river to beautify the complex but a prominent Mughal historian says it can endanger the 17th century monument. D.D. Dayalan, the ASI chief in Agra, says: “We have beautified the riverfront which was earlier an eyesore, with litter thrown all around. Visitors were always throwing all kinds of things from the main platform of the Taj.” But noted historian Prof R. Nath, who has at least 60 books on Mughal history and architecture to his credit, disputes the ASI’s claim. “It has all the potential to endanger the heritage monument. The ASI has created an artificial park that did not exist in the original Taj complex plan. The Yamuna river has been pushed a good distance away, around 100 feet,” Nath told IANS. Past records and documents show the river flowing close by, even touching the rear wall of the structure. Most conservati

Brand Update : Taj Mahal Tea
Taj Mahal tea has changed its Brand Face ( brand ambassador). Recent TVCs show Saif Ali Khan endorsing the brand. Taj Mahal has been using the Tabla Maestro Ustad Zakir Hussain as its brand ambassador from 1990's. Since Ustad Zakir was endorsing only this brand, the recall was high. Over the period of time, the brand ambassador became synonymous for the brand. Ustad and Taj Mahal was touted as the classic example of a successful celebrity endorsement. The collaboration with the brand and the ambassador went that far that Ustad once challenged in a TVC in 2001 that he will stop playing tabla if he come across a better tea. That TVC created lot of controversy. The new brand ambassador is Saif. HLL may have reasons for changing the brand ambassador. The brand manager may have been bored using the same face?. Saif may be an attempt to make the brand more contemporary. Ustad and his fans are getting older. Hence there is a chance that the new generation may miss out on the charm of Ustad (
