Using Image Magnification (IMAG) During Worship
I came across an interesting post today titled IMAG…? over at the visualworshiper.com blog.  It asks the question about why and if we should image magnification during worship (e.g. close-ups of worship team on large screens). Temporarily change Dock magnification settings
Here's a quick tip about a keyboard shortcut new to Leopard (OS X 10.5) that I didn't know about. If you normally have Dock magnification turned off, holding Control and Shift while moving the mouse along it will temporarily turn on magnification. As soon as you let go of the keys, the magnification will turn back off again. The Dock will magnify based on the settings in the Dock section of System Preferences, which you can only change when magnification is turned on. As a result you'll have to turn it on, choose your preferred magnification level and turn it back off again. The keyboard shortcut works the other way round too. If you normally have magnification on, holding Control and Shift will temporarily turn it off.I'm not sure how useful this feature is, but it's interesting none the les

      Shark Skin Magnification: x70
Scales from the skin of a shark. These sharply pointed placoid scales are also known as dermal teeth or denticles. They give the shark's skin the feel of sandpaper. The tip of each scale is made of dentine overlayed with dental enamel. The lower part of each scale, which anchors it into the skin, is made of bone. The scales disrupt turbulence over the skin, considerably reducing the drag on the shark as it swims. This design has been investigated by engineers for use on the surfaces of aircraft and boats.
