In the 4200 series, the Maestro 4250—retailing for $500—offers integrated live traffic updates, a shiny, widescreen 4.3-inch display and Bluetooth capability, while the 4220 and 4200 models will cost slightly less but will lack features like the live traffic updates and voice control. In the 3200 series, the Maestro 3250 is almost identical to the 4250, except it's $100 cheaper and has a smaller, non-widescreen 3.5-inch display. Magellan (Finally) Updates the Maestro 4040, Releases Firmware 2.24: " After almost 4 months of waiting, Magellan has finally updated the Maestro 4040's software to version 2.24, making the 4040 consistent with the rest of the Maestro product line. Looks like 2.24 is a major update that resolves many of the complaints I had when I first reviewed the Maestro 4040 back in April '07, and makes the 4040's map screen and user interface look like the Maestro 4050 and 3140. Magellan has released each of the various Maestros (3100, 3140, 4040, 4050) with different software versions and different map screens, fonts, and features. Das taschengroße GPS-Gerät ist laut Hersteller wasserdicht (nach IPX4, also spritzwassergeschützt). Sie können es demnach problemlos bei Regenwetter benutzen. Der Akku soll rund acht Stunden am Stück durchhalten. Übrigens: Sie können das Navigationsgerät natürlich auch für die Autonavigation benutzen! Je nach Variante sind zum Beispiel Karten für Deutschland, Österreich und die Schweiz vorinstalliert.

It is good to have Magellan back in the handheld GPS receiver business - with the completely redesigned Triton series. At the top of the series you’ll find Triton 2000 (pictured) which features a 2.7-inch QVGA touch screen, SD card slot, 2MP camera, a voice recorder, speaker, LED flashlight, electronic compass and barometer, and the ability to upload National Geographic maps. I have a Magellan Roadmate 700 and it does not power on anymore whatsoever. I plug it into the car cigarette lighter and the green light on the plug come on but the unit itself does not turn on. What could be causing this problem?
