Jim Rogers: ‘Madman’ Bernanke Leading U.S. To Disaster
On Monday, Bloomberg caught up with legendary commodities investor Jim Rogers in London. Bloomberg’s Sal Giangrasso interviewed George Soros’ former partner, who told listeners that the September interest rate cut was “a mistake” which the Federal Reserve might repeat again on Wednesday. Rogers claims that the Fed does not care about the U.S. dollar and want it to decline. He also notes that despite their actions, long-term interest rates aren’t going down. As a result, Rogers says: This is a disaster for the United States. I would urge everybody listening to your show to figure out ways to start getting money out of the U.S. dollar. I’m certainly doing it. The chairman of Beeland Interests also had this to say about Federal Reserve chair Ben Bernanke: I know that the mandate of the Federal Reserve was to maintain a sound currency. We now have a madman at the head of the Federal Reserve whose main goal, whose whole intellectual career is studying the printing of money. Now

Elton John - Madman Across The Water(1971) 192kbps...
Elton John - Madman Across The Water(1971)192kbpsTrading the cinematic aspirations of Tumbleweed Connection for a tentative stab at prog rock, Elton John and Bernie Taupin delivered another excellent collection of songs with Madman Across the Water. Like its two predecessors, Madman Across the Water is driven by the sweeping string arrangements of Paul Buckmaster, who gives the songs here a richly dark and haunting edge. And these are songs that benefit from grandiose treatments. With most songs clocking in around five minutes, the record feels like a major work, and in many ways it is. While it's not as adventurous as Tumbleweed Connection, the overall quality of the record is very high, particularly on character sketches "Levon" and "Razor Face," as well as the melodramatic "Tiny Dancer" and the paranoid title track. Madman Across the Water begins to fall apart toward the end, but the record remains an ambitious and rewarding work, and John never attained its darkly introspective at

      Madman Preview Figure
I’m most likely the only one that’s going to care about this figure, but EW.com has a nifty New York Toy Fair preview that includes a Madman figure from the upcoming Marvel Legends style independent comic figures. As I’ve said before on Toy Bender, this figure rocks simply because Madman was created by Mike Allred who is the cat’s ass. Please Hasbro, now that you have the Marvel license make some other figures drawn by Allred… like the X-Statix character Dead Girl! Wouldn’t Dead Girl and Madman make a great figure pairing? If you want to find out more about Madman, check out this link. toy, toy collecting, action figure, comic book, superhero, Marvel Legends, X-Statix, Dead Girl, Image, Madman

Liverpool fan group slate the madman that is Tom Hicks
We've all watched James Bond films where the bad guy (Blofeld and Goldfinger spring to mind) is trying to take over the world and becomes slightly unhinged in doing so. Sadly, Liverpool fans seem to have a real-life person seemingly doing the same thing at Anfield in the form of ...
