A Marriage Of Macro Photography & Georgia O’Keeffe Paintings.
I have to say, that I owe it all to “Georgia O’Keeffe”. Over the years, I have had a chance to visit various showings, have viewed and/or read many books about different artists and their styles, looked at a whole lot of work on line, and “none” has ever captured my attention like a Georgia O’Keeffe [...]

      Focus Macro Guide
Many players are always looking for that secret strategy or technique to help elevate their game to the next level. Typically, there is no secret, and it all just comes down to practice, but in the case of focus macros...well, this just might be it! Let's start with the basics, what is a focus? The focus technology is a user interface addition Blizzard added to the game just before the Burning Crusade was released. You can setup a key binding for "focus target" in the Blizzard key bindings option, or you can simply create a macro with the line: /focus Advanced users may prefer this method: /focus [target=mouseover, exists]; target *this macro will focus your mouseover target, very handy This will enable you to take advantage of focus macro utility that we'll get too in just a second. Reverse Nikkor 50mm 1.4 Lens - Brazil Agate & Flame Agate Macro.
Now this is cool! I managed to finish shooting a bit early the other day, and while I was out, I started to imagine what I could get within those rocks that I had on hand by reversing my old Nikkor 50mm lens and attaching it to the Canon 100mm macro lens. I was amazed! This first image [...]

Photog : of a dried berry | Reverse Macro How To
Reverse Macro of a dried berry, originally uploaded by Amber *.By adding a traditional 35mm film lens in reverse, in front of my digital lens, I was able to capture the details of this dried berry. This was the natural coloring. I thought it was quite beautiful. To Create your own reverse macro:Select a digital camera with at least 4mps. One with a larger lens opening than a standard "point & shoot" camera - when I mention point & shoot I am talking about the cameras with very small (dime - nickel sized) lens holes. I didn't have an DSLR with standard 35mm equivalent to use (my camera has a 28mm equivalent which worked great). The bigger lens hole will enable you to capture the light given off from the 35mm lens. To make this kind of shot, a built in flash is worthless, becau

      Using Flashlights For Macro Photography
I have written before about the photography workshops run by Nancy Rotenberg, Les Saucier, and Don McGowan. They are superb, and I recommend them highly for anyone considering attending an intensive workshop. Just recently, Les Saucier wrote an article on their ‘Photography With Heart’ website that has provided me with some useful answers to questions that I have had about using flashlights for macro-photography. What? Flashlights? You heard it right. For some time, in addition to using fill flash, I have played around with various flashlights to try to accent or add sparkle to subjects in my photographs, particularly flowers. While fill flash works very well for me in general, at times I would like to more selectively accent edges or portions of the image, which can’t easily

WOW Macros Warlock felhunter Macro in WoW.
Felhunter Devour/attackThis macro I typically bind to my 'F' key...what is does is have your Felhunter attack if he isn’t already; then he check to spot if u have any debuffs on, if u do he removes it, then he checks to see if the enemy has any buffs on him...if he does he removes it, finally it checks to see if the someone the enemy is targeting has a debuff on him and if he does removes it. It will at all times retarget your last target too so you don't lose the enemy...good macro just to spam:/petattack/cast [pet:Felhunter, target=player] Devour Magic/targetlasttarget [pet:Felhunter]/cast [pet:Felhunter] Devour Magic/cast [pet:Felhunter, target=targettarget] Devour Magic/targetlasttarget [pet:Felhunter]

Macro picture of a butterfish (Pholis gunnellus) at the coast in Northern Norway
Taken with Olympus E500 digital camera April 28th 2007. Click image for larger view. In this picture you can see a small butterfish (Pholis gunnellus) that I found under a rock when the tide was out. It is about 20 cm long and got its name because it has very slippery skin. When I was a kid I used to play at the coast all the time. One of my favorite activities was to look under rocks and seaweed when the tide was out. There was always something interesting to find, like a butterfish, a crab or some funky colored periwinkles. I still enjoy walking the coastline and I always bring the camera Check out this photo of a hermit crab that I photographed on another trip at the coast. Creative Holiday Macro Photography! ( Fun with long lenses and extension tubes! )
Tis The Season To Be... Photographing! Okay, that is most likely one of the worst title lines I've written. However, the holiday seasons really are more than just a time to be stuck at a mall, fighting with relatives, or wondering for the N'th time, why EVERYONE ELSE is so annoying. It's also that special time of year to reflect and take in the smaller things. In this case, it's a great time, to grab your camera slap on the macro or extension tubes, and take a closer look at things. It's time for a little creative holiday close-up/macro photography! » Read More »»

Macro photo of pink primula flowers with water drops
Taken with Olympus E500 digital camera May 3rd 2007. Click image for larger view. Time for a picture from the spring to remind ourselves of warmer times to come The Primula got it’s name from the Latin word Primus that means “the first one”. It got it’s name because it is one of the first flowers to blossom in the spring. The flowers are native to the temperate Northern Hemisphere, south into high altitude tropical mountains in Ethiopia, Indonesia and New Guinea, and are also found in temperate southern South America. There are amazingly 400-500 species of Primula and some of species are called primrose, auricula, cowslip and oxlip. I have just seen a handful, but there are some really nice color combinations out there. Up here in the north it is a very usual garden flower and it is spreading everywhere. Have you got Primula in your garden? Feel free to leave a comment Check out a few other flower pictures I have photographed: Taking pictures while laying i

Macro pictures of withered calendula flowers (pot marigold) - Last remains of summer in Northern Norway
In these photos I have captured the last remains of summer here in Northern Norway. These flowers are from the calendula plant, also known as pot marigold. I was amazed how long these plants were able to survive. They were even flowering after some nights with frost. The first photo is of an orange calendula flower that look relatively fresh.
