Today we are going to be talking about how to make a good Halo 3 machinima. One of the best parts of Halo 3 is how easy it is to make a machinima with it. All what you will need is the following:
- An Xbox 360
- Halo 3
- A Microphone For THE COMPUTER. Not your Xbox 360 Mic
- Some sort of video editing software (Movie Maker would be fine)
- Actors and voice actors
- A computer
- A video capture card (optional)
So first you will want to create a script for your machinima. All good machinimas have scripts and story lines written before hand. Now round up a bunch of your friends for acting. If your machinima requires more than 4 characters then you will need a friend to bring an Xbox 360 for system link. So once everyone is set up and ready to start working for a good couple of hours or so, give everyone a copy of the script. Now you just do what the script says. Here are some tips for the acting and script part:
- Put lots of funny jokes in the script
- Keep the episode short (4-6 min)

Though nothing can take away the love of a good Red vs Blue episode, you can’t deny the Rooster Teeth team brings out an amusing side of a game even if it isn’t Halo. Even though the last episode of RvB is coming soon, Rooster Teeth doesn’t seem like they are going away anytime soon, moving onto other games outside of the Halo franchise, such as this little gem featuring new characters in the game Shadowrun.
