I found half a bag of Penne (pasta) in my store. Since I'm the only one at home who eat it, I decided to use it for something else to quickly finish it. :PI gave my daughter a string and she eagerly starts threading them. She couldn't stop with just one necklace. She did 2! And 2 bracelets too!For older kids, you can get them to paint the penne first. You will get very nice and colourful necklaces

Romano's Macaroni Grill7123 Red Bug Lake RoadOviedo, FL 32765www.macaronigrill.comWhere is it?From the entrance, you'll see that the place is split into two halves. On the left is the dining room and bar, on the right an open kitchen. A somewhat wide walkway separates the two. Walk along that walkway until you reach the back wall of the place, then step through a hallway to the right there and enter the enclave found there. The bathrooms are there. What's it like? This Italian chain rivals Olive Garden for quality of food (some of it is good, some is okay, some a little ill-thought). Decor-wise, the dining room looks like a mix between Francis Ford Coppola's version of Little Italy (lots of dark woods, wires of light bulbs hanging overhead and plenty of loud Italian music in the air.... I know you are thinking that macaroni and cheese soup sounds gross.I thought so too.But I thought it would get the kids to eat a lunch with no complaints, so I made a batch of this soup.I bought (on impulse,no doubt) one of those huge boxes of macaroni and cheese dinners that contained 12 boxes of the stuff.Don't ask me why.I rarely have that processed stuff here, but I guess I thought it would be a quick fix lunch for the boys. And,I forgot about it.I put it in the basement with a gazillion other things and came across it yesterday . Knowing I wouldn't eat the stuff the regular way (it is cement like in consistency...yuck) I thought I would try the soup.I had the recipe bookmarked from Mr.Food for a few months now so I went for it.And let me say that there is none left.It was so good.I lov
Here it is, tonight’s dinner. Its cold outside, I’m busy, and this is in our dinner hall of fame.
I have posted the recipe before, here. It isn’t sophisticated, it isn’t elegant, and (based on previous experiments) this family will not allow deviations into wild territory like smoked cheese or panko instead of Italian breadcrumbs. Take it, make it your own, and consider it a gift from the depths of my soul.
PITTSBURGH, PA. - Kraft Foods is serving the BikeBoard as a compliment to its "cheesiest" product. Last year, the BikeBoard was featured in packaging and advertisements for Kraft Foods' Capri Sun fruit drinks. Now, the BikeBoard is appearing on boxes of Kraft Foods' Macaroni & Cheese. The BikeBoard's prominence in Kraft's packaging and advertising speaks to the product's success. George Davison, CEO of Davison, is delighted to see the company's product on the back of Kraft's famous blue and yellow boxes. "It just amazes me to see our product there, on a box of Kraft Macaroni & Cheese, illustrated with all of the vibrancy and playfulness that makes it so distinctive," says George Davison.Davison, a Pittsburgh-based product design company, was responsible for creating this novel product. Southern California native, John Iavarone, came to Davison with an idea for a hybrid sport product that could mimic the sensation of surfing. Iavarone's idea was transformed into reality t

By: Pricilla Lweis Macaroni is a product of wheat prepared from a hard, clean, glutenous grain. The grain is ground into a meal called semolina, from which the bran is excluded. This is made into a tasty dough by mixing with hot water in the proportion of two thirds semolina to one third water. The dough after being thoroughly mixed is put into a shallow vat and kneaded and rolled by machinery. When well rolled, it is made to assume varying shapes by being forced by a powerful plunger through the perforated head of strong steel or iron cylinders arranged above a fire, so that the dough is partially baked as it issues from the holes. It is afterwards hung over rods or laid upon frames covered with cloth, and dried. It is called by different names according to its shape. If in the shape of large, hollow cylinders, it is macaroni; if smaller in diameter, it is spaghetti; if fine, vermicelli; if the paste is cut into fancy patterns, it is termed pasta d'Italia. Macaroni was formerly made

Today we had playgroup in the morning… we were outside at one of the girls houses….enclosed deck and iced coffee…mmmm! It was HOT out but it was really nice to be out anyway. All the kids played nicely. We decided to stay in the rest of the day though…too hot to do much of anything that didn’t need to be done.
We did some painting….I covered her whole play table with paper and cut out foam shape to paint with and also used a few different brushes. Some of the brushes were the kind with paint in them that you squeeze into the brush to paint. It sounds like a good idea but every time I get them out I remember that I don’t care for them too much. We also used some sponges on sticks that I picked up in the good old Target dollar section that day I got her bedding for the new bed. They were worth every penny…love them. I”ll have to post a pic of our final product..it’s really cute.
Then Blues Clues was on and I overheard (whi

Spicy Peppery Macaroni is on its way to Spice it up, the Weekend Breakfast Blogging event hosted by the lovely Trupti of The Spice who loved Me.Macaroni is best eaten at...all times! Especially if its spiced up with tomatoes and pepper...wow a great breakfast item to keep us running till our hungry pangs starts attacking us by lunch.Macaroni is something like an alien at first ...best friend once acquainted. South Indians at best don't prefer continental stuff what with their mild flavors, but when it goes through a change and takes a Indian avatar...there is nothing like that to beat it.I am referring to my own experience with this, when everybody home were reluctant to accept it and I had to pour in enough interesting items to attract hubby dear to eat this for breakfast. Its fast to prepare, tasty to eat and of course makes your day. Now its part of our regular breakfast items. My daughter at one point wanted macaroni for all her meals. The spicy item in this recipe is of course lot

Terrible. I know its just terrible to make something so good and fattening and deep fry it for even more flavor. But what was also terrible is the recipes that I found when I googled deep fried macaroni and cheese. Some wrote about frying it in a skillet and adding ingredients and some wrote recipes that I believe they never tried like; use (a national known brand of) frozen macaroni and cheese (lets shorten it to mac & chz) and scoop it out of the foil package and bread it with white bread crumbs? How do you 'scoop' frozen mac and chz? And just how did they bread it without a binder and being frozen? Terrible. The recipes that sound good give you no pictures. And one recipe goes so far as to add meat, tomato, and...now how is that mac and chz?Alright. Take your mac & chz out of the refrigerator the next day and cut out fun shapes you would like to fry: squares, sticks, circles, etc. Then we need to flour, soak (one egg and some milk) and then bread with DRY bread crumbs. Now
We had an unexpected guest today and we were chatting and chatting ... and the kids were playing and playing ... They didn't take their afternoon nap until much later. By the time I settled the kids, it was already close to 5pm. So it's macaroni today.Luckily, I still have my homemade broth meant to make my daughter's porridge. Macaroni is simple yet still yummy. It's not that bad lah, really, because of the broth lah.I wokked Alphabet Macaroni, the only macaroni my kids eat, with chicken broth and I added carrot, fish cake and chopped Cai Xin.
