      Lychee and Lime Drink
Weather is super hot lately, especially during noon time. I feel like sitting in a bubble bath filled bath tub after I fetch the kids home from school, except I don't have a bath tub. So the first time I do when I reach home is head straight to my fridge to grab something cold to drink.Yesterday, I left a can of lychee in the fridge so I could fix something cool and refreshing today. This is what I made to cool myself off. What's in the drink?150ml Syrup from the canned lychee50ml Ice cold waterJuice from 3 Limes6 Lychees or more if you likeAdditional lime, sliced and some *mint leaves (optional)*Lemongrass as toothpick for the lychees (optional)Just mix all ingredients together and serve chilled. Ahhh ....* Leftovers I found in my fridge which I used as decoration purpose here.

      Lychee Lassi Concert
Location: German Club, Gulshan 2, Dhaka Time: 20:45 onwards State of mind: Content German band Lychee Lassi started playing in 1998 and made a name for themselves with their debut EP Speed, which came out in 2000 and was named "Record of the Month" by TIP Magazine. They have gone on to play gigs all over Europe at clubs, open-airs, and festivals, and tonight they played in front of a live audience in Bangladesh for the first time. I really had a good time at this electronica-jazz fusion concert, and so did my friend Rafiq who accompanied me. Due to stupid government regulation the bar at the club was closed, so we opted for Pepsi and Fanta. It's getting relatively harder to get alcoholic beverages in Bangladesh... the scenario is pretty ugly. Anyways, here's the line-up of Lychee Lassi: Dirk Berger on guitar, Beat Halberschmidt on bass, Roland "Roy" Knauf on drums, and DJ Illvibe on turntables. They are flying to India tomorrow to perform at Egmore, Chennai, so good luck to them

Lychee Martini - Cocktail or Virgin, You pick!
The one word that comes to your mind when you see or hear about a Lychee is "EXOTIC" !! And the second word would probably be Hawaai or Mauii or something of that kind, right? Well, a lychee is a rare sub-tropical fruit originating in South China where the lychee is very important in their culture and is famed as "the King of Fruits". It not only tastes divine, but is high in Vitamin C (antioxidant)and Potassium (mineral) too. It sure is one of my favourite fruits, and here's a drink that is a favourite for a lot of people. This recipe is an inspiration from a similar one that I read about in the Gourmet magazine, and I modified it a little to suit my style. Presenting to you, the Lychee Martini (Cocktail or Virgin, your choice!!) Ingredients1/4 cup sugar1/4 cup water1 cup drained canned lychees (15 to 20, from a 16- to 20-oz can)2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice2 small cherries2 tsp cranberry or grenaldine (artificial pomegranate) juiceSprig of mint, lemon rind for garnish6 oz (3/4 cup

Candy Review: Kasugai Lychee Gummy Candies
Kasugai Fruit Gummy Candies have a reputation for being the best-tasting gummies available anywhere. The hype surrounding these is incredible (they contain real fruit juice), so I’ve wanted to try them for some time. I recently purchased a bag of their lychee-flavored gummies. The lychee is a Chinese fruit with a rough outer skin and a soft, juicy interior. Simultaneously tart and sweet, the lychee sort of tastes like a mixture between a pear and an orange, with a strong undertone of rose. Yes, the flower. I opened the bag up and was nearly overwhelmed by the smell of acetone, i.e. nail polish remover. It only partially resembled the gentle, fragrant scent of a fresh lychee, and I started to second-guess my choice. Maybe I should have picked up the apple or the peach instead? Each gummy was individually wrapped, and I did really like the pastel purple color of the wrapper. When I popped the first one into my mouth, the fresh flavor of lychee burst onto my tongue. The gummy text
