      How To Develop Healthy Lungs
As an ex-smoker, I can tell you none of us realizes the importance of breath until we're short of it. We can go 3 weeks without food, 3 days without water, but only about 4 minutes without air. It's pretty clear we need to do all we can to develop healthy lungs, avoid lung damage, exercise, diet, and commit to therapy to regain healthy lungs, once they've been damaged. The following paragraphs can help you do all of it. Avoiding Lung Damage: Obviously, avoiding damage is on the short list of how to develop healthy lungs. Unfortunately, if you're like me, when you're young, you don't think much about that stuff. I smoked for almost 20 years, but that isn't the only thing that damages your lungs. Smoking pot, huffing and snorting drugs can do as much damage. Do

Your right to smoke ends where my lungs begin
India Knight successfully misses the entire point of the smoking ban as she rants against the "erosion of our civil liberties": It truly amazes me that we are free to give ourselves cirrhosis of the liver 24 hours a day from teenagehood upwards; that we are free to eat any amount of toxic, obesity-causing carcinogenic nastiness - at vast future cost to the health service - and to feed it to our children so that they have double chins by the time they’re six; but that as free, adult human beings we are not able to light up in public because nanny says it’s naughty. The smoking ban has nothing whatsoever to do with whether or not an individual can smoke. It has not been in place to prevent anyone from smoking in private and its intention is far from what Knight suggests. Rather than the "

Chinese Antiques, China Today - Dragon Breathe In Our Lungs
Chinese antiques history through to now has a fire breathing dragon as the centerpiece of the parade, weaving, bobbing, emitting noise, and most of all fire and smoke. And so it is today, although the dragon breathe is spewing out those smoke stacks we see now on television, as we see the streets of Beijing, [...]

Frog Without Lungs Found In Indonesia
A frog has been found in a remote part of Indonesia that has no lungs and breathes through its skin, a discovery that researchers said Thursday could provide insight into what drives evolution in certain species. Coroners Inquest Bahamas: Daniel Wayne Smith - Late Son Of Former Playboy Playmate And Guess Model Anna Nicole Smith (Deceased): "red frothy material" found in Smith's lungs were "a clear sign of an overdose."
Officer Testifies Gibson, Wife Were In Hospital After Smith Died: By Tosheena Robinson-Blair - Nassau, Bahamas: Former Immigration Minister Shane Gibson and his wife were in the hospital room where a sobbing Anna Nicole Smith lay over the body of her son Daniel Smith last September, a police investigator testified on Tuesday in the coroner's inquest into the younger Smith's death. The inquest is being held more than a year after Daniel Smith died at Doctors Hospital where he was visiting his mother who had given birth to his baby sister. Frederick Taylor, an inspector at the Central Detective Unit [CDU] of the Royal Bahamas Police Force, said he arrived at Doctors Hospital on September 10, 2006 to find 20-year-old Smith lying on a bed, with his mother lying at his feet crying. Mr. Taylor told the court that Mr. Gibson and his wife; Anna Nicole's companion, Howard K. Stern and emergency room physician Dr James Iferenta were all in the room at the time of his arrival. Save your Legs, Lungs and Entire Life
Smoking is deadly addiction. Cigarette smoking is a proven reason of extremely unpleasant health conditions and the most well known are heart attack, lung cancer, and emphysema. But smokers should know that heavy smoking causes reduced blood supply to the leg muscles and as a result leg pains and increased risk of clots in legs. Clots are able to travel to the lung and create blockages - or pulmonary embolisms - that stop the supply of oxygen to the heart.Smoking is a major risk factor for peripheral vascular disease. This disease is a narrowing of blood vessels that carry blood to the leg and arm muscles. This can lead to such severe narrowing that the limb becomes starved of blood and is damaged severely, sometimes requiring amputation. So, if you are smoker, set your quit day, ask for y

More Proof Secondhand Smoke Damages Lungs
For the first time, researchers have evidence that secondhand smoke can cause emphysema. The lungs of 13 current or former smokers, and 45 people who had never smoked, were studied using a modified form of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Of the nonsmokers, 22 had heavy exposure to secondhand smoke for at least a decade. The MRI detected signs of early lung damage in 67 percent of smokers, but also in 27 percent of nonsmokers with heavy exposure to secondhand smoke. In contrast, only 4 percent of nonsmokers without this exposure showed signs of lung damage. It's long been thought that exposure to secondhand smoke can cause lung damage and emphysema, but previous methods of detection weren't sensitive enough to prove it.

Terry Reid - Super Lungs (1966-69)320kbpsMost of the contents of Super Lungs: The Complete Studio Recordings -- most especially the albums Bang, Bang You're Terry Reid and Terry Reid -- will be familiar to the singer's fans, and may dissuade people from picking up this double-CD set. That would be a shame, however, in view of the other material that is here -- starting with his work with Peter Jay & the Jaywalkers, which opens disc one and dates from well before his solo debut, Reid reveals himself as an extraordinarily (jaw-droppingly good, in fact) soul singer, with range, power, charisma, and taste, even on those early sides, and the package is extended into genuinely uncharted territory with a half-dozen newly discovered, newly mixed outtakes from Bang, Bang You're Terry Reid, and two tracks from Reid's first recording session in 1966, "Funny How Time Slips Away" (which is almost worth the price of the double-CD set by itself) and "I'll Take Good Care of You." So, if you are not better by Monday, Mary Poppins, get yourself to the doc!” the verdict is bronchitis, which, if it persists for two weeks, is treated wit

The lungs that save an elephant
I like this video of Lance Armstrong. No wonder he won seven Tour de France. All top cyclists have excellent physical attributes. Armstrong is no exception, although in one way, he may be unusual even for an elite athlete. He is near but not at the top aerobically, having a VO2 Max of 83.8 mL/kg/min — much higher than the average person (40-50) but (more…)

      Rosco finds his lungs.
{summary}It would seem that Rosco has figured out how to do a particularly annoying thing.  Holler. I don’t mean cry.  I don’t mean scream.  I mean holler.  Hollering requires one to reach way down into the diaphram to pull out the most gutteral noise possible and then eject it from the body with as much force as is available. These are little boy parent-control tactics.  That baby stuff has long since ceased.

Cronica Oscura 7: My lungs have failed...
Mi cuerpo colapsó, supongo que fue demasiado para él. Es la primera vez que tengo q faltar a una clase por estar enfermo. He faltado por tener trabajos, flojera, quedarme dormido, etc.
