Season one of Burn Notice is out on DVD today so I thought I’d celebrate by sharing the Q&A with Jeffrey Donovan from my set visit. Seems appropriate, no?
Everyone we talked to, and I do mean everyone, thinks very highly of Jeffrey and, after we talked to him, I knew why. Not only is the [...]
Recently, my mom was invited out to lunch by Z, who wanted to pick her brain a little, regarding an organization Mom is involved in. They went to a average restaurant (Z picked), and Z ordered a meal that cost $12.99. Mom ordered something similar, maybe a little lower in cost.
The bill came, and Z [...]

Miranda Kerr hailed a taxi in NYC after lunching with her motherWhen it comes to desirable cab customers, the taxi drivers in New York City must swerve to pick up Miranda Kerr. The Victoria's Secret model was spotted hailing a ride yesterday following a lunch date with her mom at Mercer Kitchen in the trendy Soho district of Manhattan. And even when she's going casual, this brunette beauty knows how to do it in style. She sported a v-neck sweater underneath a sport coat with a pair of skinny jeans and some high heeled boots.Given her romance with "Pirates of the Caribbean" hottie Orlando Bloom, no wonder Miss Kerr is always looking her best- she's in competition with every other woman in America for his attention

Our reluctant eye of the scandal storm is Peter McGrath, now ex-ARU chairman. This is a great pity, because looking at Peter (pictured), and knowing his profession (lawyer) there can be no doubt that...

Lunching, munching and averted (?) punching‘As a child my family’s menu consisted of two choices – take it, or leave it’ Buddy HackettSomething I don’t understand just lately is why, as customers, we are being treated so poorly when we part with our hard earned money. The concept of ‘The Customer is King’ is all but dead, and it seems as consumers we are not voting with our feet, but simply are noting defeat. We are being directionalised all too often, and seemingly without noticing, or complaining. I like the idea of the customer being king, but not Stephen King. However, I seem to slip into re-enactments of Stephen King’s less normal characters on a seemingly all too often basis… Even the simplest of things that you try and attain as a consumer seems to be all but impossible. I get the impression that I am being ‘boxed’, categorised, effectively
One of my favorite things about living and commuting in New York is the importance placed on keeping the entertainment commissions rolling. At any given time, you could run into a famous face in the most familiar place. Having the city stand tall as an prominent (but unscripted) character to the bulk of what dominates the big and small screens lends an immediate authenticity you can't recreate on some articifial backlot in Lalaland or staying within a budget in Canada. And while tasty tidbits courtesy of Page Six, Rush & Malloy and Gatecrasher are the perfect side dish to my A.M. Sausage McMuffin, usually the scenery picks stay confined to the famous trademarks (i.e. Rockefeller Center, Times Square, Central Park) or the trendier areas in the Village, Chelsea or SoHo. Rarely, and I do mean
