Mangoes lounging in the hammock, but not for longI love mango season. These were priced at three mangoes for L. 20 (US $1.06). We saw trucks full of mangoes all over town yesterday. We are going to need some more tomorrow.Did you know that mangoes are in the same family as poison ivy and some people are allergic to them for that reason? I've read that it is the tree parts, sap, and the peel of the fruit that cause the problem. If I was allergic, I think I'd get El Jefe to peel them for me and take the chance! Actually, I am extremely allergic to poison ivy but I've never had a problem with mangoes.These photos show trees which are very small for mangoes. I'm not sure of the variety, but I think it may be the variety Mangafera indica 'Julia', which I know is a smaller tree. Some mango trees

B'Jay have the most glorious life, right? The two are just chilling in St. Tropez, enjoying the weather and each other. Most celebrities lives don't look all that glamorous all the time, but not Jay-Z and Beyonce -- they are constantly in a music video. And it's fabulous. I wrote the following journal entry on Sunday, May 15, 2005: 4:50 pm Kendall – Canadian girl I met at hostel in San Jose. I was in the common room, reading and watching The Apprentice. She was seated opposite me; I couldn’t help but notice her nice, tan legs as she sat with one leg over the chair arm. She asked me what I was up to a bit later and I had responded “reading.” She wanted some company on the five block walk to the supermarket. I picked up some empanadas; she got veggies and noodles for a stir-fry. I watched her cook it up at the hostel. A Dutch guy, Frederick, was staying in my hostel room so we talked a bit.
