on the way back from ny i stumbled upon loïc prigent's documentary about marc jacobs & louis vuitton. airing on the sundance channel, (yes, virgin america is amaz) it was the perfect solution to a long flight! the documentary follows jacobs as he balances roles as artistic director of venerable french house louis vuitton and his own eponymous american line, in meetings, preparing collections and at high-profile shows. apparently the dvd came out in 2007 but magically i missed the memo. i highly recommend watching it even if you arent a marc jacobs fan, its intimate insight into the fashion world.photo cred: amazon
