Anyways, I was browsing over Zippy’s pics on Flickr.com and I found a whole bunch of Fireworks-pics on there. I’m not sure if they were taken during Christmas, but they do evoke a very strong emotion (for me). Here in Paradise Philippines we have lots of celebrations and festivities year-round, but I can pick out Christmas and Valentines as the two most memorable celebrations in my one full year. Why? Well, I get rich during Christmas, from the dozen-or-so cash gifts from my uncles and aunts. And I go poor during Valentines, because I have to give a lot of lovely gifts to people.

Could the most longest awaited move in NFL history finally be on the verge of getting done? Well, let’s put it this way - at least the Dolphins and Chiefs are at least talking about the move to finally get quarterback Trent Green into a Fins uni and out of Big Red. The latest bit of talking between the two states that the Dolphins have modified their trade offer for Green. The Miami Herald reports Friday that the Dolphins are now willing to offer a conditional sixth-round pick that would become a fifth if Green meets certain conditions.
The deal over the past few months was that Miami was only going to give up a 6th rounder for Green, a QB who they already have a new contract in place with and ready to go once the deal gets done. KC all along has wanted at least a fourth-round pick for their former starter under center. Jim Steiner, Green’s agent, was quoted in the Herald as stating “I think we will get a deal done, there have been a lot of conversations.”

Most of relatives are already living in ‘the windy city’ ever since my grandparents migrated to the US long before I was born. They settled there, found a very good living and have lived the ‘American dream’ - to a modest level at most. Still, it was enough to support us who were still here in the Philippines.
Sometimes I cannot help but wonder that twenty one years of being continents apart would’ve done something profound to our families. It’s a long time and this I could clearly see in my grandparents’ faces in the pictures they send, usually sometime after Christmas.

The object of my obsession at uni has been appearing in my dreams again. So I've been looking for him online. Stalker tendencies also rear their head when I think about him. I think it's because of the single woman's most hated day of the year which occurred earlier in the week. I usually say I've never received a Valentine's card in my life, and then I remember what he sent me in my first year. It looked like a notelet into which he had stuck a Shakespearean sonnet printed on his computer, with a hand written envelope.
