Well.. it is time for London Fashion Week's review.
Since the Milan Fashion Week and its disaster... London Fashion Week is a ........ humour for our very dry day I suppose.
People were overly concerned on the economy crisis in Milan and did not give the Fashion Week the attention it deserved. But then again, Miucci Prada is the one that hold the Fashion Week together each year.. so then.....no
London designers Marcus Wilmont and Maki Aminaka might have out done just about every single designer, well, ever when they showed completely ridiculous heels without shoes. Oh yes people, this is happening.
Aminaka Wilmont presented a beautiful collection of garments that were paired with, well, basically lace and a heel. Totally avant-garde and okay for the [...]
Jen Hunter came into the public eye when she participated in the TV series 'Make me a supermodel'. Jen who is a size 12-14, and classed as a plus size model, felt she received a lot of negative responses from those involved in the show and was determined to make her mark and prove them wrong. She pledged to take something positive from the experience and began visiting schools to talk to pupils abo
On Friday, a stellar London Fashion Week closed on a high.Josh Goot: One of Australia's most promising young designers made his London debut having shown previously in New York. 'Modernism's new messiah' and the 'King of Urban Chic' are just some of the monikers past collections have garnered Goot. After the iconic July Vogue Italia Black issue, i was wondering if the fashion industry would be inspired to bring more diversity to the runway. From my point of view, the Spring /Summer 09 runways for New York fashion week were typical; there did not seem to be any significant increase in model diversity.Top models Naomi Campbell + Jourdan Dunn walk with designer Daniella Issa Helayel at the end

From New York, let's all fly to London to witness the British fashion designers unfold their collection for Spring/Summer 2009. The London Fashion Week began last September 14, 2008.LuellaLondon's spirit was lightened up with boxy jackets, and the asymmetrical tiered frill skirts, and the big satin hair bows, and the net veils, and the pearl-chain handbags, and the tulle glovesGiles DeaconAn exhib
London Fashion Week opened its catwalks yesterday with a mythical line of boiler suits and 80’s modern rocker jackets, awesome bows, and vibrant colour lines.
First day was Topshop Unique. The character proved a violent contrast to the flaming sun outside - all wistful harden and bare light bulbs. The catwalk was virtually indiscernible from the [...]

London Fashion Week is barely into day four, and we’ve already found the event’s best worst outfit, courtesy of the Tashi label.this "accidently down underwear" happened on London Fashion Week 2006.but,we don`t know who`s this model name.anybody can tell me ?
Amy Winehouse could take to the runway at this autumn’s London Fashion week, if top designer Julian MacDonald gets his way.
Each year, MacDonald ensures his collection dazzles by getting “the woman of the moment” to wear the top gown in his collection.
British supermodel Naomi Campbell got the honor last year; and Paris Hilton sported a [...]
It’s time to take a look at London Fashion Week. As usual, a lot of the clothes are very artsy in a fashion-school-project way. The clothes aren’t entirely practical, but I think these collections are cute:Christopher KaneSince he debuted a few seasons ago, Kane’s show has possibly been each of London season’s most anticipated catwalk [...]
Christopher Kane, Erdem and Vivienne Westwood are my top favorite fall 2008 collections for their distinct and confident message.
Christopher Kane's fall 2008 collection is focused more on innovative textures and material combinations. There are several party dresses with layers of organdy and plastic sequins. The same form of decoration is seen on sheer pants, one pair teamed with a stud-embellished sweater, and also on a black cashmere knitted tabard. Novelties were also those collarless jackets with a 3D texture created by some sort of ruched appliqué.

The Central Saint Martins MA class of 2008 presented their graduate collections on 15 February at London Fashion Week. CSM alumnis, industry professionals and buyers were gathered in the audience to scoop out fresh ideas and the next big name in fashion. The MA show included mostly wearable clothes in a subdued color palette (beige, iris-blue, black and white), a serious twist from previous years.
David Steinhorst is the next big fashion hope as he was granted with the Harrods Design Award. His collection was about draping, folding and metallic accents.

Toned down ... London Fashion Week has reflected the lean economic times with designers choosing colours and designs with more staying power and several US buyers pulling out.

The focus was more on who was in the audience when London's premier fashion event began today because designers said US recession fears had made Russia and Asia the markets to target.

With 2008’s London Fashion week almost unpon us, I had to sing the praises of 2 new designers that have the pleasure of displaying their gorgeous clothes on the catwalk next week.

Yet another Fashion Week has come and gone. Yesterday marked the end of London Fashion Week. Not as glamorous as New York Fashion Week, not as couture-ific as Paris, London Fashion Week is its own special animal. From new and advant garde (Gareth Pugh), to bouncy and fun (Luella), to simple and chic (Aquascutum) the style of London runs the gamut. A couple of overarching themes did emerge this year: African-inspired prints and lots of color, both in solids and color blocks. Check out the highlights of London Fashion Week:Enjoy this post? Really!! Where's all the glitz, after parties, celebrities in the front row, and most importantly where are the designs that will make people come calling to London? Most of the designs I saw seemed more old and tired than new and regal.I was trying to find something to write about the "ugly" sister of shows. But oh heck, why bother waste space? Maybe when it's all done i'll do a round up, because I havent been impressed with what i've seen so far.More later....
Matthew Williamson is known as "the king of boho", so it was entirely appropriate the rock-maestro, Prince, lent his unique support to the court of the young designer when he staged his comeback show at London Fashion Week yesterday. (Wednesday)
