      Ljungberg: New links to Roma
By Billco Do we really want to get rid of Ljungberg? He started showing some promise during the last half of the season, if he can get over his injuries im sure he would be a great player for West Ham. Hopefully these rumours are not true, but i have a feeling Curbs is under pressure to get [...]

      Roma: Si offre Fredrik Ljungberg

Ljungberg out for the season - Barking and Dagenham Recorder
WEST HAM winger Freddie Ljungberg is battling to be fit for the start of Euro 2008 after being stretchered off during Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Newcastle United at Upton Park. The 31-year-old was hoping to captain Sweden at this summer’s European continue read..

Replacing Ljungberg & The Emirates Cup
Arsenal players geared for Emirates Cup A number of Arsenal players have expressed their excitement about the Emirates Cup tournament that begins this weekend. The Emirates Cup is the first of two pre-season tournaments (the other being the Amsterdam Tournament, hosted by Dutch side Ajax) that Arsenal will compete in before the competitive season begins and involves three other big European clubs; France’s Paris-Saint Germain, Italian champions Inter Milan and Spanish side Valencia. Arsenal kick off the tournament with a match against Paris Saint-Germain and young left-back Armand Traore has said he absolutely cannot wait for the game: “I still have not made it yet and I need to impress the boss and make him believe that I can do it. As soon as I heard PSG were coming to Emirates I was really happy. I was a massive supporter of PSG when I was younger. I used to go with all my friends on Saturdays to cheer them on.” Traore is currently Arsenal’s second-cho

Now Ljungberg Has Gone - Who Will Wenger Now Buy?
Well he has finally gone to West Ham( which still picks up manyof our players who have passed their sell - buy date!). Sad to see him go and will have many happy memories of his performances for us but they all seem to be about at least 3 years old!   Unfortunately, recent injury problems have taken away Freddie's pace and his ability to beat the defenders in front of him. Last season some of his performances were almost embarrassing compared with those way back in the past and like Pires and other players who have reached 30years of age,it was time for him to move on. Wenger, surprisingly, wanted to keep him apparently - maybe realising that there are now too few players in the squad who have experience of winning trophies and who could influence the many younger players that we now have in the team. Ljungberg usually played on the right wing but could be called upon to play up front when our forwards were hit by injuries and suspe

Ljungberg follows Henry out the door
Ljungberg joins West Ham The big news today is that Swedish captain Fredrik Ljungberg has left Arsenal to join fellow English club West Ham United for around £3million. Previous speculation suggested that Ljungberg may have joined either Fiorentina or Manchester City but it was Arsenal’s London rivals that eventually got the signature of the current Arsenal squad’s longest serving player. Upon joining West Ham, Ljungberg had some big things to say about the Arsenal Football Club, his home for almost ten years. “It’s all a bit sad. All the players from the undefeated team have left. Now me. I stayed as I wanted to be loyal, but I felt it was the right time to go. But at the same time I am happy. I want to go forward and with the people I have around me now I think it will be really good. I had great years at Arsenal and won almost everything. Not the Champions League unfortunately. We were so close, but I look back with great memories.” I know that a lot

      Ljungberg blir florentinare?
Ljungberg to Fiorentina? I certainly hope not.
Arsenal in talks with Fiorentina The only real news of note today for Arsenal is the rising speculation that Fredrik Ljungberg may be on his way to Fiorentina. According to his agent Claes Elefalk, the two clubs are in discussions about the possibility of the Swedish midfielder moving to Italy. “The two clubs are in discussions. If they can come to an agreement, then Fredrik can think about looking closer at a move. Fredrik is really happy at Arsenal, but if it is an option, he could also consider a move to Fiorentina.” I must say that these comments have quite a different angle to the ones that Ljungberg himself made back in June: “This will be my 10th season with Arsenal and I cannot wait to start the season with them. I am very much looking forward to the opening game against Fulham. It is great to start the season with a London derby.” Ljungberg’s wages not an issue  As the longest serving player currently at the club, I think it would be a real sha

Ljungberg sells more underpants; Gilberto Silva Waffle; New Pop Sensation
Howdy all. Cheers for all the comments yesterday. I’m still working my way through the replies so expect some waffle from me in your mailbox very soon! I must admit, they make a nice change from the insults I used to get on a regular basis on my last blog. I give it another two or three days before the insults start flying in again. Well what’s been taking place at Arsenal Football Club since we last spoke? Freddie, who probably was out selling underpants or something has been talking to the media: "There were rumours that I was going to leave for Real Madrid or Milan in the past but I always said that the most important thing was to win things and be successful," he said. "I live to win things and we are doing that at Arsenal so I see no point in leaving." "There are a lot of things that make [Wenger] special," he declared. "He is very intelligent and he picks players, not just for what they do on the pitch but for how they are mentally a
